Diary of a White Knight, part 9

Trinity’s fall.

June 28, Amoria.

They say a man that does not know what he should do about his future unconsciously comes back to a placed that marked his life…

When I woke up I was surprised, Gina did not wake me today like she usually did, instead of waking up at eight I woke up at eleven today.

Though I was glad for these few precious extra hours of sleep the fact that she did not wake me up bothered me a little.

I dressed up and went outside to look for her, I found her with her back at a tree, looking at the clouds and thinking about something.

Having no wish to bother her in her thoughts, I quietly sat down next to her and looked at the clouds with her.

Three hours later, she finally stood up and talked to me for the first time this day.

-Leo, let’s go get something to eat I’m hungry.

I grabbed hand and ran back home with her, I promptly started to make a sumptuous meal to make up for the time I did not spend with her yesterday.

It consisted of a scrumptious salad, a smooth and thick soup, a perfectly cooked filet mignon and to top it all, a cake which only I had the recipe to, the very same one that every single pastry makers on Victoria and maybe beyond coveted.

And yet, she did not seem too happy, I was just about to ask her if something was wrong when the phone rang, I went to get it.

-Hello?
-Hi Leo, it’s Crystal.
-Oh hi Crystal, thanks for your help on the 26.
-26? What did I help you with on that day?
-You know, the tips and all…
-Oh that! Glad I could help hehe.
-So what are you calling for?
-Well I wanted to talk to you a little, Gina’s been looking a little down lately uh?
-I know…do you know what is wrong?
-I don’t know, I thought you’d know but it seems like you don’t. Maybe we should all go together and have some fun?
-I could be a good idea, it will probably help her for whatever she is thinking about.
-Alright then, meet me at Orbis.
-Okay, we should be there soon.

I told Gina about going to Orbis, she did not seem too interested even if her best friend, Crystal, was going. I was getting pretty worried then.

About one hour later we finally reached Orbis, we went and met up with Crystal, Gina barely said hi to her and went back to her thinking.

We tried to cheer her up for about one hour about whatever she was thinking of but to no avail.

She was lost in her thoughts and the world could collapse around her and she would not even know.

Crystal started whispering to me, asking what was wrong with her.

-I have no idea, she has been like this since this morning.
-I saw her this morning around nine, she was sitting under a tree in front of your house.
-That was where I found her two hours later, she sat there for three more hours so she must have been thinking of something for at least seven hours already if not eight.
-I’m really worried about her…you didn’t do anything now did you?
-Nothing at all…I do not think I have done anything to upset her or at least to cause her to be like this right now.
-That’s weird…she’s usually very chatty though.
-I know but I do not understand why she is like this either.
-Well let’s just wait a little more and see what’s wrong then.

Two hours later, someone announced a big party at a place in Orbis and Gina finally said something.

-Leo.
-Yes?
-I’ve been thinking about…”us”.
-What about ”us”?
-Things just don’t seem right between us.

-It just doesn’t feel right.
-I see…what are you going to do?
-Break up with you.

-I hope you don’t mind too much.

-I hope you understand.

-Crystal let’s go to the party!
-Uh? Oh okay…
-Come on let’s hurry the places are limited!
-Coming!

And the two of them left…after a few minutes of hesitation I followed them out.

I caught up with them right around the corner to the main part of the town, that’s when I asked Gina.

-Throw it away…
-?
-Throw the Ring away…
-Oh.

As casually as someone who’d take throw away an already used movie entry ticket she threw the Ring away and ran off to the party with Crystal.

I could hear the wind whistling through the ring as it fell from clouds to clouds…the box following it closely.

Five hours later, I was wandering aimlessly for the last five hours, I ran right into a Lycanthrope, literally rammed it down and broke a few bones as I walked over it.

I was in a state of shock…I was not sure if I understood the situation.

Then everything became clear to me, I made a decision, one that I might and probably would regret.

I had to cut every single link I had with my past, erase everything, I did not want to face the truth, and I did not want to face the pain.

I asked her to say this which lead to this…

I have…four days left.

Okay, those links were from a while ago and seems like I might’ve messed the dates a little, doesn’t really matter anyway.

Well I’ve had some problems and stuff lately, I’ve got something coming up in about thirty minutes that’ll explain some stuff.

Enjoy Part 9 of the Diary.
