This is a little incident that happened yesterday while I was training on the Lost Time map with my cleric. It was really late in the night (after 10:00pm EST) and i decided to kill some undeads and see, If i was lucky enough, if i could get one of those mage shields, So i could sell it on basil and add the money to my 2nd guild monetary fund.
When I arrived the map was alone, and there was no one there so i start training. After 1 hour a level 58 sin appears and starts killing things. I really don’t mind after all I can SHARE a map (especially if it’s big like this one) all of a sudden, i notice the red dot heading towards me in the map. Since I was there first i don’t pay too much attention, and then it happens
“cc plz” he says.
I ignore him, After all I was there first and i don’t respond to cc plz (i actually respond very well to “would you change channels please?”) So he says it again and again I ignore him, so he starts following me and ksing me -.-
“Why does he have to ks me? I was there first!!” I say to myself all of a sudden I notice my friend Drew (A level 63 Cleric) login in
“Hi Ero luv” The same casual air in Drew. He somehow one of those people in MS that just seeing them online makes everything better “How are you?”
“I’m almost okay…. except for the fact that there’s a sin that’s trying to ks me out of a map i was in first”
He tracks me and goes there. As before he notices the guy using haste and following me all over the map while i’m trying to get some experience, trying to dodge him to no avail and wasting pots like water using my 1 point teleport -.- So of course he comes to the rescue and makes the guy shift his attention from me to him. While i mob what i can he heals before the guy can kill anything.
The sin leaves for a sec, But Drew says that it won’t be long. 15 minutes later he comes with another sin. This time the other sin decides that I stole the chan from her friend, so she follows me (a cleric 20 something levels below her) using flash jump. And here is where is started
Drew calls his friends (2 level 77 Ice mages, 1 Priest, 1 Hermit) to ‘help him out” and the thief calls his friends (2 Hermits, 1 Dragon Knight and a Chief Bandit) and the last thing i know a full fledged KS war ensues for around 1 hour.
Amidst all the chaos, i heal and touch the enemies I can, while i read the “GTFO’s” “You’re in trouble now” “ST*U” “-Yawns-” “cool leave!!!” and other initialized insults from one side to the other. Any person that went into that map during the war asked if there was some event going on because it was packed, and what item were we looking for
In the end, the first thief acted all cocky and said “I’m finished, thank you guys, it was hella fun!” and leaves followed by his posse, I didn’t find the shield i wanted, but ended up with 20% more experience than before and with two diamond ores
When it was all over i thanked all the people that came to my aid and after they left the channel was empty, with only cogs, money and the extra unwanted items left on the floor. I must admit it was exhilarating, but kinda pointless.
KS wars Are pointless. hehe.
I remember one time when I was looking for an empty Jr Yeti map to train in, but I couldn’t find one.
Then I found this channel which was practically empty, but there was one lvl 8X Fire Mage running around exploshun-ing the entire map and telling everyone that CCed in to cc plz. I complained to my guild, and two of my friends came. They took up half the bottom of the map and refused to leave for the pro. So the pro called his guild and there was a KS war at the bottom, leaving me the entire platform at the top to train on.
It was good training: almost consistent spawn, with around five 9Xs clearing the spawn downstairs, and comic relief provided by all the various insults that they traded. We finished the war by saying, ‘Thanks for the spawn!’ and left the map double quick, laughing all the way.
Good times, those were. Too bad my guild is all dead because of RL stuff.
