Motivation

I think I lost my leveling motivation when I got to level 70… Maybe because I finally reached my first goal, being a Mage instead of that crappy “Wizard” title.
But how does that title help me if I lost all my motivation to train? I used to be able to train for 2, 3, 4 hours straight. Now, I train about 30 minutes and log off or stand in FM talking to my guildies/buddies. But after that I just feel like I wasted my time, another day of slacking off, another day that it’ll take me to get to the next level.

I want to keep training my Mage. I really love it, and now that I got all these cool new skills, of course I want to level up and use these skills. But still, something went wrong at some point or another.

I have every intention of reaching a very high level [over 14x if everything works out], and my new guild is just GREAT [Ascendant, created a week ago by LordRaid and me], but my motivation is missing. Even with all the support I get from everyone [buddies, guildies, basilers, random maplers], it’s hard to stay focused on training when the exp gain is THAT low. Maybe that’s why I’m feeling this way. Maybe I just have to reach 74 and switch to DT’s, and I’ll get my motivation back.

I’ve never had an inspiration, or a “role model”/idol. I’m my own inspiration. Along with many other players, I believe I can do it, keep getting to a higher and higher level.

Just need motivation

  1. Elu, I thought you were a Fire Mage. Someone even went on basil and posted a topic about it. Wait, you could just be copying her name. *Goes and checks characters*

  2. OH OOPS YOU SAID WHEN YOU GOT TO 70! My bad, Same thing that happened here. I was power leveling, getting a level every 2-4 days in 6x. Then when I hit 70 I lost all my steam. Boom, there it went. It’s more fun but it’s slower. I just need to get 2 more levels (when I start pumping Explosion again) then I expect that I would level faster.

    Anyways, I have one question: Are you getting bored? Or can you not just level?

  3. Can’t level. The exp gain is hella slow, which makes me completely bored. If the exp gain was faster, I could train for longer times. The guild keeps me entertained =P

  4. Well, I train at Pangs. When my 7x friends get on, sometimes they are at coolies and we train together. Training with friends = ultimate cure for boredness. That’s how I leveled so fast in my 6x. I trained with my friend at Grupins. Now that friend turned hacker so I can’t trained with him anymore T_T

    So basically, train with friends, it helps.

  5. If your a fire mage check out flenadis’s fire mage video. Your an ice mage? Look at xxxdrayxxx or curryishott. Cleric? S3mi. Those are great examples of role models.

    Flenaris was always my idol until he quit

    As I said- “I’ve never had an inspiration, or a “role model”/idol. I’m my own inspiration.”, I have high respect to Flenaris, but he’s not my idol. I’m my own inspiration.

  8. You switch guilds a lot, Elu. o.o;;

    I’d say you should train with friends. It’ll really help cure you of boredom.

  9. You just need to get to 74. The same thing happened to me when I got to 70. I got bored and went around doing unfinished quests. I actually leveled once while I was doing that.
