I know you’ve heard this sort of rant many times, but I really REALLY have to get it off my head.
Things that i hate about Maple
1. Lagginess!
ok, this one is classical. I never experience lag in other game worst than Maple! If not for lagging, i will not bother to buy pet to loot items, which requires me to spend 4.5k every month to revive my yeti. why i need pet? because it took me 2~3 seconds to manually loot a single item on the floor.
2. Track system
yeah, it is good for some reason. But really, it can be annoying. I can never run away from stalkers…and even buddies (some buddies and guild members are annoying but i can do nothing about it) There are times when i need to train alone, in peace, you know..
3. Mega
Some people really love to spam the chat box with all those pink and white messages. It hurts my eyes and I can’t read what my friends are saying. That’s not the main reason why i hate mega. It’s what they mega-ing about that i hate.
Example of megas that really…
” xxx finding hot chicks for one night stand. pm him he despo!”
” xxx is a ghey”
” ldr of xxx guild, can plz teach ur dog xxx to behave properly”
..and many many other nonsense megas. These rich people..i wonder how much they spend their cash on mega everyday. Probably enough to pay for my two weeks rent.
4. CC PLease-er
this is also the most common reason for many people to give up on this game. Fine, if like Fog map or SG ghost ship map, i can almost expect the words ” CC PLZZZZ” or “Full le, cc plz ” the moment i enter the map, so i don’t really care anymore. But what boils me is, ok i give a situation here.
I, level 76, happen to enter a map which is full of..let’s say, Stumps or Slime or Ribbon Pig. if you were there at the map, will you going to think that I want to stay for long and train there??
it is so very annoying how people can shout “CC PLZZZ!!” at me when i just passing by the map. don’t they have any common sense at all?? Do they really think I want to train on their stumps and slimes?
i guess that’s about all. yeah there are those Kser, map raiders and stuff, but honestly, i never met any Kser that seriously or purposely Ksing me. Most of them just hitting my mob to clear their way or accidentally ks. I also never met any Map raiders. So, perhaps that’s why I don’t really have anything against them..although i wish they didn’t do that.

1- There’s a increasing number of maplers so that’ll get worst if you have a character on Scania or Bera.
2- Doesn’t the blacklist work?

I think inserting the name of the person stops them from PMing and tracking you.
Some people in Maple can either:
Immature or has no common sense
Basilmarket is overflown with them
A msea B server dit?
Blacklist doesn’t block anything in any way. It can be used as a very nice tracklist, or to make a list of people you really hate and plan to hunt down for the rest of your life.

Actually, it blocks party invites. I’m not sure about whispers and PMs. It does not block someone from tracking you.

I put someone from Basil on my Blacklist so I could remember their name, and I don’t think he could whisper to me or send any chat invites. He had to track me down on foot.
Mi gawsh.
Instead of wasting the $$ on Megas I would use it on Shopping.
Not on a online game.
