Her name was Karla~~ 13

“The promise to survive is so hard…” Karla said to herself. “Life may be my greatest enemy. Living with a purpose only to keep a promise may be too much for me.” Karla remembered that she and Charlie were supposed to meet at the Henesys pet park. Maybe she does have hope…

I stretched out my new mechanical arm. Boy did I feel good.
“Holy crap, I feel like a new person again!” I said to myself in glee.
*Beep-beep-a-beep-a-beep* my communicator had rang.
“Yeah?” I answered.
It was Mario.
“Charlie, I got-a good news! The GMs are going to let me out! They didn’t have evidence that neither I or Luigi had-a caused the frickin fire! They didn’t also have any evidence that I tried to kill you over the phone, making you choke on water!” Mario stumbled upon Luigi’s name.
“Charlie…” Mario said gloomly. “I wasn’t able to stop Luigi. He.. he was-a”
“Mario, it’s okay. Don’t worry about…”
“No Charlie! I can’t-a stop worryin’ ’bout-a him! He’s-a part of ma family!” Mario cried, “he got strong Charlie. He got so strong… I dunno if I can stop him.”
“You know what? How about you me and someone I know go out for pancakes!” I suggested. “My treat.”
“Whoooopppeeee!!!!!!!!” Mario hung up.

Mario and I walked over to the Henesys pet park where we saw a slender woman sitting at a bench. I hardly recognized she was Karla. Instead of wearing her Dark leather coat, she was wearing sand blasted Jeans, and a simple pink T-shirt. I smiled as Karla looked over. Mario was still jumpy about her being a killer. I didn’t really care. Somewhere in me, I thought that I knew her somewhere. She was awfully familiar. Karla forced herself to smile.
Her smile scared Mario so much that Mario jumped inside a nearby bush.
“M…mamma-mia!” Mario whispered. “She’s-a going to kill us!”
I watched Mario in pity but continued on. “No sugar coated honey pancakes for you Mario.”
Mario’s eyes were teary upon hearing this.

Karla was relieved that Charlie would come. With him on her side, she felt happy. She felt warm and tingly inside.
“We’re going for pancakes!” I said happily, as I dragged Mario by pulling his ear. “This is my friend Mario.”
“Hi…” Karla greeted.
“H..ho..how you d..doin’?” Mario stuttered. Karla laughed. Karla grabbed me by my hand and simply said she was in the mood for pancakes.

Somewhere far away…

“Bring her in.” said a mysterious voice. The two GMs standing between the door answered as a slender woman with blonde hair entered the room.
“You wanted to see me sir?” the lady said in a cool voice. Her voice was so chilly and smooth that it made the hot summer day cold.
“Yes.” the chief GM replied. He was sitting in the chair.
“Tara. Since when were you accepted as a GM after you’ve passed the GM entrance exam?”
“10 sir.” she replied.
“Indeed. You were our finest GM, if I say so myself. The GM test is not available for anyone you know. Especially at someone your age.” Chief continued. “You have shown leadership, and cleared all of your assigned missions.”
“Yes sir. Thank you sir.” Tara said with a clear dreamy voice as she brushed her golden hair. She was wearing a white leather coat.
“As our finest GM, Tara, I want you to do a mission that only you can succeed. Many have tried but all of them had failed.” he continued.
“Sir, it would be best for all of us if you could tell me the mission so I can go with it.” she said firmly.
“Very well. This might be hard for you, but you’re our only hope.” the Chief said seriously. “We need you to kill your sister.”
