Pretty close to 81 and a level 6 Puppet. Why am I so excited? It’s because of the 20 second timer that will come with the level 6 puppet. No more constant recasting for me. ^___^

For those who don’t know how Puppet works:

Puppet is a good reason why Rangers and SNipers are considered solo people. The point of Puppet is to aggro (get the monster to attack you) and place it in an area where a monster cannot reach. This can be a point behind you where their “magic attacks” or they cannot physically damage the monster, or below, above you, etc. All you need to remember is that Puppet must be somewhere those evil monsters can’t punch it with. o—(>_<

Anyways, as you hit a monster, they will not attack you. Why? Puppet actually takes the attention of the monster, and takes damage as well. This can lead to good sniping and otherwise a cheap way to kill monsters/bosses, excluding bosses that can hit a whole screen.

However, there is a downside. Here’s what I mean:

1. You cast puppet into a mob. The puppet takes 4-5 hits and dies.

2. You cast puppet once, and cast it again. The monsters are set to NEUTRAL, or they do not attack you or anyone else for that matter.

3. Someone hits the monster. Even if Puppet is in affect, they will not go after the last person to hit the monster. Thus, partying sucks when someone is hitting a monster that is puppetized.

So remember guys, just because a Ranger/Sniper has a Puppet out, doesn’t mean you’re free to hit a monster. I’ve warned many people that it would do this, and they ended up dead from a Death Teddy blast. Unless you count parties such as Squid Parties or Viking Parties, than Puppet isn’t a very good party skill.
