How is it a hack? It’s just turning Maple Story into a “windows mode.” It’s not some 3rd party illegal program. You won’t get banned for using it. So whats wrong with it?!

I think it is considered a hack, but I don’t think it’s a big deal. There’s no harm to it, and some people favor that way. I don’t see the problem with window mode.
By the way, I don’t use window mode, or even know how to do that, lol. Another question similar to this: is playing MapleStory with a game controller (e.g. GameCube) considered a hack? (I don’t know how to do this too. I feel dumb.)

Rules are set in place to keep order. And there is a reason windowed mode is banned. It’s so that would be hackers (like the kind you use to hang with Dark) will have another obstacle in their way making it hard to hack.
If you guys can’t follow rules as simple as not using windowed maplestory than you shouldn’t be playing.
I’d like to play in windowed mode, too, but i cope with Full-Screen everyday

Window mode makes it so much easier to hack and get away from GM’s which leads to more hackers left in the server. I mean if u have window mode u can always just turn on fake shadow partner and if a GM comes invisibly u can just click the crash MS instanly button on Cheat Table and beeooop. U just escaped a GM. So just follow the damn rules.

Hours of work go into fixing this game
trying to make it safe for the honest maple players and you only think of yourself and you obviously don’t appreciate the people who work hard to entertain you if you can’t follow their simple rules

Windowed mode makes it easier for hackers to be able to use their hacks.
FFXI had the right idea when they made it so when you Alt + Tabbed, the entire game closed.
Anyways, Windows mode IS a hack. It’s been stated on the website several times, actually. It’s editing something within the Wizet folder itself in order to achieve an edge over other people who don’t use it. Yes, you do get an edge, and that’s being able to IM and train at once. So it’s considered a hack in that meaning, that it tampers with the game.
