“What do you think is going on?” Starr mutters with a scared look on her face.”This looks like our home but it feels different.” Starr Moves closer to Ryan and grabs his hand. Ryan immediately begins blushing and turns to side so starr doesnt notice. “Lets look around.” Ryan says in almost a whisper.

Ryan and Starr begin wandering around in this unknown yet familiar place. After walking around a little over an hour, Ryan breaks the silence. “Starr we should wait till morning before walking around like this.” You go to bed and I’ll stay up and make sure nothing happens.”

“But, Ryan…” Starr begins saying before Ryan interrupts her. “Dont worry about me. Well go into one of these houses and find a bed for you to sleep in and then ill keep watch. I dont like this place, I feel like something bad is gonna happen and if Im awake im sure well be okay.”

“No.” Starr says looking up into Ryans eyes. “If your staying up so am I.” Ryan begins smiling when he hears these words. “Alright. But we shouldnt travel. Lets find somewhere to stay until morning.” Ryan crosses the street without even bothering to check both sides. Starr runs to catch up to Ryan and grabs his hand. “Dont forget about me.” She says with a smile.

“Starr.” Ryan mutters looking down at the ground. “What is it Ryan?” Starr says looking at Ryan. After a few seconds of silence Starr notices Ryan is crying. “Ryan! What is it?” Starr stares at him with a caring look on her face.

Ryan raises his arm up to his eyes and wipes away his tears. Ryan looks at Starr and then looks away. “Nothing. Dont worry about it.”

“No! Ryan why do you always push me away when I try to be there for you?!” Starr looks at Ryan waiting for a response. After several moments Ryan responds. “Because! I….. love you Starr!” Ryan turns to Starr. “But I dont want to love you………”

Starr suddenly is overcome with many emotions all at once. Happiness and most of all sadness. “What are you talking about Ryan?! I love you too!”

Ryan walks away from Starr, then speaks without looking at her. “I wish I could spend the rest of my life with you Starr. But I always lose the people I love. First my Father and then my Mother.” Starr doesnt know that Ryan is crying again. “Starr….. If you stay with me, your gonna….die. I would rather never see you again then see you die.”

Starr runs up to Ryan and puts her arms around him and holds him for several moments without saying a word. “I’ll never leave you Ryan. And as long as you’re here to protect me I wont die.”

Ryan turns around and hugs Starr back. They stand there holding each other for a long time. Ryan crying on Starr’s shoulder and Starr crying on Ryans chest. Ryan lets go of Starr, and starr looks up at Ryan. Ryan wipes away her tears and slowly moves in to kiss Starr. After Ryan and Starr share their first kiss Ryan and Starr look for a house that is unlocked. Luckily the third house Ryan checks is open and he walks right inside, followed by Starr.

Starr goes to the bedroom in the house and lays down. While Ryan follows her and sits in a chair in the room. Starr lays on her side and stares at Ryan. Ryan stands up and walks over to the bed and lays down next to Starr. Ryan whispers in her ear “I love you Starr.”

After twenty minutes of laying in bed, Ryan is there laying face up with thoughts racing through his mind. Starr is fast asleep with her head against his chest.
“Maybe…..Maybe Starr is right. I wont let her die. I failed to protect my mom but I wont let the same happen to Starr.”

Suddenly Ryan thinks back to his mothers funeral. Ryan was asked to give a speech on be-half of his mother. Ryan walks up to the podium and speaks into the microphone. “The Kerning Kings have been running wild in our town for several years now. They have caused alot of pain to alot of people. I warned their leader, Jason. That if he doesnt leave he will have to face me. Instead of listening to my warning he sets my house on fire, killing my mother and the baby in her womb.”

A tear strolls down Ryans cheek. “Im here to tell you now that the Kerning Kings will no longer be a problem.” After saying this Ryan wipes his tears and runs off, putting on his Dark Avarice and pulling two tobis out of his pocket. Ryan goes to the KK’s hideout. When Ryan opens the door, many people look at him curiously. “Hey! How do you know about our hideout? Only KK members know about this place.” A guy dressed all in black carrying a long black sword says to Ryan. The man dressed in black dashes to Ryahn and swings at him. Ryan jumps back dodging the attack.

Ryan looks down and notices the long cut in his shirt. Ryan grabs his torn shirt and rips it open. Showing the KK’s Tattoo across his chest. The man carrying the sword is shocked. “Im sorry. I had no Idea you were a member.”

Ryan smirks. ” You have no idea how right you are. As you said. I WAS a member!” Ryan throws the two tobis at the man. He quickly raises his sword blocking one of the stars. “Heh. You think that measily attack can hurt me? Urgh!” The man clutches his chest where a star is stuck. He tries to stop the bleeding. “Whats wrong didnt you see the second star I threw? Or was I too fast for you?” Ryan grins happily.

“I told Jason that if he didnt leave town I would take you all down.” Ryan quickly disposes of all the people in the room.Then goes through the large doors across from the doors he entered through.

Jason is sitting in a throne-like chair. A young girl stands next to him. Ryan, being 12 at the time, notices that the girl is very pretty. She has brown hair and green eyes. She has a sad look on her face, but smiles when she sees Ryan.

Jason stands up and Runs up to Ryan with a sharpened dagger in his hand. Ryan reaches into his hand and takes out one Tobi. “Jason, this is all I need to take care of you.” Right when Jason swings at Ryan. A blue light glitters above ryans head and he dissapears. Jasons eyes widen. “What?! Hes so fast!”

Ryan stops behind Jason and he reaches around Jasons neck and holds the tobi to his neck. With one swift movement Ryan slashes Jasons neck. Blood spilling out of the wound. Jason has trouble speaking now. “I….Knew….you could….. do it…..brother.”

Ryans eyes widen when he hears this. Ryan thinks to himself. “Brother? That cant be! Jason cant be my brother. I dont have a brother.”Ryan tries to remember his past. “Well. When I was little a remember there being someone else who lived with me, mom and dad but one day he left and I never saw him again. Could it be?”
