I feel like there’s just something about me that causes good friends to either quit or be unable to play MS.

In the past, I’ve had real close friends through MS. Either they quit or just “disappeared” never to be seen again. This one just takes the cake though.

OF course, if you play OMS, you’ve heard of msowned, a hack site that’s frequently advertising and the GMs seem to miss banning those that advertise it. At the same time, even visiting this evil website, as I’ve heard, downloads a keylogger to the visiting computer.

o0o0hlala, yes, the one I had JUST bought a crush ring for, decided to be curious and check it out. She didn’t download the activex control that would put a virus on her computer, HOWEVER, chances are that didn’t stop the keylogger. (I was always under the impression it asked you no matter what, though, but being a geek I know of hidden dangers, too, such as such programs that may bypass this step.)

o0o0hlala isn’t very computer literate, either, so it became hard to try to get her to understand that she was probably going to be hacked. I tried to get her to install Windows Defender on her comp but it didn’t go too well. She had an updated version of Spybot S&D, but it didn’t come up with anything. However, seeing how she says she has quite a bit of spyware, I’m not very convinced…

This is just unbelievable. As I said, something had happened to just about EVERY good friend I have in this game. I’m thinking I should just start playing by myself now.

And I’m also convinced from the experiences of some of my other friends: the crush ring is a jynx.

This so makes me feel like quitting.
