Could Things Possibly Be Better? Part II

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to submit any of the rest of my story due to some personal issues in my life. But, I was finally able to post part II. Enjoy!

I woke up, thinking only of those two dark beings…I remember fighting them, but who knows if they were actually dead or not. I looked to my left, and noticed that the same girl from the incident was there, sitting right beside me. I didn’t even know where I was, but as long as she was there, I felt safe. The only problem was, I kept thinking about those men who I got into a fight with, what if they came back…I didn’t think this new friend of mine could defeat them by herself. I sat up, and I felt weak, as if all the strength in my body was still gone…I had to train…I needed my strength to protect her.

I sat up in my bed; the girl had noticed me and said “Good Morning, Chris! You were passed out for quite a while…I’m glad you are alright.” Her voice was beautiful…like that of what one would think an angel sounds like. I still wondered how she knew my name…but it didn’t really matter, all I knew was that she was the nicest person I had ever met, and that she was there for me. I asked for her name and she simply replied “Emmy.” It was a great thing to know that I finally had someone to talk to, someone who cared.

I stood up and asked Emmy to take me somewhere, she delightfully accepted my request. We left the house, and I noticed that we were in Ellinia, home of all mages. I acted as if it was hard to walk at first, just so she would hold my hand. It seemed as though I had a crush on Emmy, even though I barely knew her. I guess it was because she cared about me, nobody had ever cared about me before I met her.

As we walked, I couldn’t help but notice how beautiful she was, she was like an angel. She had cared for me when I needed it most, and that made me the happiest guy in the world. I wondered what she was thinking at that time, but I still couldn’t stop thinking of that incident in Perion recently. Emmy was beautiful and intelligent, she knew how to care for a guy like myself, she made me laugh even in the saddest of times, and she made me feel special. I felt like I was in love with this girl. I had never felt such things before, but I enjoyed the feeling to the highest degree.

I decided it would be best to hold off on expressing my feelings for her because it was highly likely that she would feel the same way…nobody ever had. Instead, we just conversed, trying to get to know each other a little bit better, but it seemed as though she already knew everything about me. It felt like she and I were meant to be.

Time flew by, and before I knew it, she and I had arrived in Henesys. Hand in hand, we walked to the market there to buy some fresh fruit and other groceries. I explained to her that I had to leave Victoria and head to Ossyria, where El Nath is located. I wanted to journey there to find an instructor who would help me increase my power and become a hermit. I knew if I had become a hermit I would be able to handle anything, even those two men, single-handedly.

I asked if she would come along with me on my journey, and she told me she would love to. At that moment in time, I was even happier than before. I knew, at that moment in time, that this feeling of love was indeed real.

    Not really . :/

    1. You don’t actually fall in love with everything you see . Like . *Spies a rat* I LOVE YOU RAT =]

    2. Don’t start a cliched story RIGHT in your second chapter . Not that it’s good to start one in any of your other chapters either .
