Could Things Possibly be Better? Part I

First things first, everybody: I’m new to MMOtales, so don’t expect this to be all that amazing. Also expect a few grammatical errors here and there, because I need to finish this in a hurry (Due to the fact that I am in school at the moment). I was inspired to start this story by the woman I’m in love with. Please leave some sort of feedback. I need to know how to make my stories better -_-

I stood atop the rocks in The Land of Wild Boar II, it was extremely hot in the area, and I had been training there all day in search of the new maple items, specifically Maple Stars. It was nearly six o’clock, the time where I had to return to henesys to my family for dinner. By the way, I don’t have much family anyways. I didn’t exactly get along very well with my mother, who I knew as Taku, and the problem was that my father, Stu, was always busy killing evil monsters in the cursed sanctuary. I guess that is the problem when your father is a highly experienced hermit and your mother is either with him or partying with her friends, not caring what you do. I guess I couldn’t consider them much of a family at all. I tried to see them all the time, but being the measly weakling that I am, I couldn’t tag along due to the strong monsters they fought. For now, just forget about that, I needed to get to Perion as fast as humanly possible, and since my haste had run out and my mp was drained, it would take much longer than I expected.

I began to walk towards Perion, and it was so hot that I decided to remove my officer’s coat, because it made the heat unbearable. The only problem was that by removing the coat, I revealed my dark scorpio armor, which left parts of my torso vulnerable. I continued further west and entered the rocky mountains, the whole time I felt as though I was being followed. So I climbed up and headed for the top of the mountain, delaying my return to Perion, but it seemed to be safer.

I came to a stop in the mountains, and noticed two dark figures above, lurking in the shadows. I reached into my pocket, feeling for my tobis, realizing that only 2 were left. I quickly slipped on my Sapphire Gigantic, and prepared for the worst. I approached the dark figures with my tobis in hand, checking back to see that nobody else was behind me, I knew something was up. I quickly turned around, throwing two stars, one at each figure. I noticed that one disappeared suddenly, he was fast. I noticed he was carrying a dragon’s tail, I thought to myself “He must be strong, but seeing as I have revealed myself, I cannot back down now.” The other figure turned around, blocking my star with his shield, judging by the judgment he carried, he must’ve been a white knight. The bandit appeared in my face, I was scared at first, but I was swift in pulling out my Geta in preparation for attack. I took a swing, feeling some sort of resistance, he disappeared, but I knew I had at least glazed him. The warrior charged at me, but as slow as he was, I easily avoided his blows.

I was being pushed back, until I felt a hand on my shoulder…I thought it was the end of me just then, but I noticed this pretty little girl behind me…she said “Hey Chris.” I was surprised to see that she knew my name, but it didn’t matter. She healed me, and all of a sudden everything was great, I had my strength back, and I felt better than ever. I hastened her, and I rushed for the bandit, using the shadows to my advantage. I was right on top of him, and just then, I leaped into the air and landed a blow right into his chest, closely followed by a holy arrow from the cleric at my side. I stole the bandit’s dragon tail and used it against the white knight. I dashed towards the warrior, and you would figure that he wouldn’t be able to strike me. I circled him, landing constant blows, followed closely by several magic claws from the cleric. Finally, the knight fell and I landed one final blow, finishing him off. I was unsure of their intentions, but they were no longer a threat to anyone. I failed to realize that the warrior even landed a blow, I was too worried about the health of this girl who helped protect me, if she were to get hurt…I could never forgive myself for failing to protect her. I had lost a great amount of blood, and I passed out. The last thing I remembered was staring into her beautiful eyes as she laid her hands on me in order to teleport back to Perion.

I was helpless, I always figured…what kind of a person would want to be near a blue man with scars all over his body, but then I thought…this girl…she was much different. I always wished for people to see through my ugly outer shell and try to see how kind I was, and it seemed as though she was the first one to ever do such a great thing. I felt like I finally found someone I could call a friend.

  1. To be continued. If people like this, I’ll post the next few parts, I just need to type them up. (Already handwritten and such)

  2. I thought you were going to say “Could things possibly get worse?” and I almost wanted to say “Now you’re cursed!” .
