A ‘what-just-happened-to-Cinnamon’ questionnaire for ye wee childs!
1. So I was running around the Ant Tunnel, killing things that caught me fancy, and idly wondering when I would stop procrastinating enough to blog, when:
a. An above average independence day hat popped out!
b. Yonder ‘mother-of-Cinnamon’ just slapped me upside the head!
c. My computer froze, plunging my MS and screen-shots deep into a cyberspacey grave!
If you chose c. you are absolutely right-oh.
So. After blinking at the computer screen for a few moments, just to make sure it wasn’t lag, I tried all the usual stuff: pressing alt + tab a few times, squinting perturbedly, and finishing with ctrl + alt + delete.
‘Twouldn’t work.
So I held my computer’s power button down until it shut off.
And try as I might, I haven’t been able to turn on my computer since. ‘Tis been three whole days.
So. Question 2: What has Cinnamony been doing since this unfortunate turn of events?
a. Working hard like a good little Cinnamon!
b. Being sick, and sleeping, and being grumpy!
c. Thinking about taking up new hobbies like jewelry making, painting, and getting-things-done!
You answered “ALL THREE PLIX,” didn’t you?

MS probably isn’t gonna get re-installed, because all the rest of the computers in the house belong to the minions of one ‘ANTI-MS establishment’, and I feel loath to download it sneakily.

Maybe it’s like my main compie. It wouldn’t turn on until you leave it on with the electricity running for a bit, before plugging it out then in again then hitting the power switch.
Apparently something wrong with the starter-thingammajig inside.

However, now that the CPU can be turned on at semi-will, my monitor wonks out. -__-

Yeah, that sort of happened to me once, except it was doing a cluster search or something, and it took 1 and a half days to scan the whole thing. This was my pre-Internet era, too. O.o
