Not a bad day.

Yes. Not a bad day. Because I darn well feel like it, I’ll be writing a “blog” about the numerous misfortunes that befell me today.

In the screenshot, you can see that I have 77.77% exp. I just found that very, very, funny for some unknown reason.

Even though I’m only lvl 52, I’m able to train (not very well, mind you) at the Red Drakes. After some calculations, I found out that I gained, on average, 2 1/3 points of exp more at red drakes than I do at Lioners/Cellions. However, this does take into account the appearance of Jr. Cellion/Lioner, nor does it take into account my extremely small miss rate on Red Drakes. In addition, it does not consider the appearance of fire boars and copper drakes. I’m pretty sure these counter-balance, however.

So. Today, I went from 89% to a level, and then to 1% for no apparent reason. The screenshot was actually taken yesterday . . . .When I went from 73% to 89%. While randomly killing things, today, I found an average dark ankamoon. Which made me pretty happy. As an additional bonus, one of my friends also levelled on the same day.

After levelling and jumping around with 140% speed in the “slime tree” (Now a tradition whenever I level my wizard), I go onto my sin. Who’s at 70% exp.

Not too soon afterwards, I levelled him, too, although I encountered a lvl 23 bandit-to-be hitting higher than me. At first, I was astonished by this phenomenon (My sin is lvl 35, well lvl 36 now), for bandits were known to hit lower than sins (he was using double stab), and I was a good 12 levels higher than he. After my friend(the one that levelled) also puzzled at this strange event, I soon realized my stupidity. The only possible answer was that he was using the coveted Gelt Chocolate. After slitting my veins and helping my friend do the same to atone for our stupidity (All right, all right. So we didn’t hurt ourselves. We did, however, yell at ourselves and/or yell at younger siblings), I saw that the same bandit-to-be suddenly hitting much, much lower. This was good. For me, not him. After that, he left.

When I was quite close to the next level, 96%, a would-be hacker shows up. Dressed in lower-levelled garments, he proceeded to dive into the nearest mob of teddies without the slightest consideration for his health. After presumably getting slapped and/or trampled by a group of animated teddy bears, a teddy bear dealt the finishing blow to him. The dreaded tombstone dropped from who-knows-where and marked his death. He disappeared, but soon returned.

“y wont godmode wrk?” he cries out.

I felt very strongly inclined to press both the F2 and F6 button, but even Maplestory faces are only designed to show one emotion at a time. Thus, I pressed only the F6 button, amending for not pressing the F2 button by smirking in real life.

Then he asks me, “do u no how 2 ues godmode?”. Astounded by his nerve (my guild thinks that I would kill any hacker if given the chance), I decline the temptation to tell him how to seriously screw up his computer. Instead, I merely say a short “Nope.”

After that the dreaded begging began.

“can u plz giv me 50k? i ned 4 new wand.”

After cruelly pointing and laughing at him (unfortunately, Maplestory does not have *point and laugh cruelly* as an emote) in real life, I proceeded to ignore him. After about two more seconds elapsed, he fled into the relatively animated-teddy-bear-free Ludibrium: Ludibrium.

One more short anecdote. After getting to 98%, another sin, higher levelled than me, shows up and says, “cc noob. im at 91%.”

Of course, I shot back, “yeah, but i’m at 98%.” He kind of ignored me after that. Shortly after I level, he restates: “cc noob. im at 93%”

By this time, having levelled two characters and found a decent drop, I wasn’t too prone to irritation. So, instead, I pressed the good ol’ caps lock key to say something.

“NEVER,” I say, “INSTEAD OF CCING, I’LL LEAVE THE MAP. HAPPY?”

To which he responds, “w/e, just go aawy noob”

Finally, I go into Ludibrium: Ludibrium. And thus ends my “not a bad day” day.

  1. Hmm. Now that I think about it, no one will really read this blog and yell at me for everything I could’ve done differently.

    How unfortunate.

  2. How awful. It’s not even long at all. Probably less than a page in 12pt TNR font, MS word, Single spaced.

You should’ve read all of it! Then you’d have more to yell at me for.

  3. Let me see . . . .No. I’m too lazy to drag myself all the way back to victoria, even if it is for a godly item.

  4. Lol stupid hacker! Should have screwed his computer up! I would have!
Lol such a low life, what level was he btw?

  5. I don’t know if this was ever frontpaged, but it isn’t anymore =P.

Yeah. And now we start the new quests.

Yeah, I know, most of you think I should’ve screwed his computer, but I’d prefer him getting screwed up grades when he fails his homework, trying to get hacks to work.
