High levels – meanies?

Hey guys, this is my first blog, so don’t be TOO mean.
Alright, so first off, I pq in ludi. I saw flenaris at Eos tower, floor 101 buying elixirs.
So, eventually, when I get elixirs, I contact him, and realise, hey, he’s at grims. It’s not worth a pro’s time to leave a training place for a measly 50 elixirs, right? Well, this was my original thought.

People generally think that all high leveled people are snobs, right? Wrong.

So first, I contact flenaris. I head over to him, and I’m halfway down to grims, when all of a sudden, he uses a return to ludi scroll, and he actually parties me, on my way down to him (and I feel bad as a noob without haste or any supporting skills). So we trade, I sell him elixirs, blah, blah, blah.
First pic:
‘Duude, I’m about to level (see EXP), can I come to grims with you? I won’t get any exp, and I’ll just loot ^^’
‘Sure’
So, we get chatting, I’m asking about skills and stuff, and they are INCREDIBLY patient. So we’re chatting, casual, and it’s like we’re friends XP (although they probably think I’m a noob, as I’m level 42 (at the time), and they were 133/142). They show me around, and we make it to grims!
Oh no! I died! Ahh well, that’s why I leveled before I came down.
Don’t worry Flenaris, you showed me once, I don’t need you to show me how to get down AGAIN, I’m not that stewpid. So they come with me to town (pic 2), and I’m going: Uhh… did the second (at the time) best player in the game just leave her training place to escort me back down with her?! Yes! She did, this is awesome ^^!

So, I tell them to go on, not to wait for me, as I can find my way back, as independent as I am, correct?
Oh no! I’m lost, and lookie, Flenaris to the rescue! He takes me from thanatos back to grims, after whooping thanatos’ <bad word>, and already passing me with tele, even though I have speed equips.

These guys are SERIOUSLY cool, and although a common stereotype that I refer to is that high leveled players don’t talk to noobs, etc etc.

Well check this out: (pic 4), Suuushi shows me a GODLY dark fury, interrupting her training as I stare in awe at her beautiful claw.

And finally, the group action picture: My guild buddy comes down, flenaris and suuushi show off their zakum helmets, and suuushi even joins my guild! What a day.

I’d just like to say that, even though many people stereotype that high levels are ‘meanies,’ I also noticed that most of the high levels that aren’t nice aren’t really the highest of levels. Pretty bad wording, huh?
Well, I mean that all of the TRUE high levels, like 120+ are actually really nice. I even have a pic of tiger buying some elixirs off of me.

The TRUE pros in my opinion, are the ones who are experienced, and know what MapleStory is all about – not just getting to high levels the fastest, but making friends along the way, and sharing stories, and I think that this is a good example of TRUE pros.

Ciao, and if you made it this far, thanks for reading my pointless story =)

Edit: Feel free to leave comments, constructive (or destructive =/) criticism, and tell me what you think about my story ^^

Another edit: This is kind of an off topic jumble of pictures put together =/

  1. Awesome story! I’m glad to see not all pros are jerks, and I liked what you said about “true” pros. Good job =)

  2. SLICKSINNER.
    HAHA WDUP.
    it’s tkfkd.
i just started this thingy. why did they leave the guild?

  3. I accually believe you are a semi-pro for showing us theese things. One day when you are lvl 120+ you will be able to return the favor, ect,

  4. That is so AWESOME! @o@; , Well anyways, any pro’s that didn’t hack their way are nice. Like before 3rd Job, most of the pro’s were EXTREMELY nice because hardly any of them hacked because there was no point without 3rd Job. :/ In a way 3rd Job ruined it, but meh. Glad to see palyers are still doing nice things even fo Scania (As I presume since you met Suuushi).

  5. Pros are usually nice >.< A crusader killed a fdew jr. balrogs and he let me loot all the scrollls

  6. Lol, no kidding garysan/neomullet, thanks heiidagger, suketchi, I kinda agree, but I don’t think that adding 3rd job was a bad thing, and seort, that’s awesome! and ducky, SUP o.O! Btw, they left the guild because they are joining ‘Passion’ (I think anyways, I know suuushi is), and the guild was just for a little bit of temporary fun.

  7. “pointless” story,you say?
It was very constructive and it had proof that some stereotypes arent true.
Well, you’re very lucky you met suushi and flenaris,
i’ve met a lvl 90 crusader and he was really nice too

  8. awesome! not ALL pros are “noobish”. Im not a pro (only lvl 41 at the moment) but I still party people, train them up, let them loot, etc.

  9. CrystalMyth said: “hahha ^^lvl 41^^ur a noob.”

    I’m level 44 now =(

Does that mean I’m noob too? =((((

  10. wpw u got suushi to join ur guild? lol nice, thats some great experiences u had

  11. CrystalMyth said: “hahha ^^lvl 41^^ur a noob.”

no. the way you’re acting right now, YOU are the noob. no pro goes “ahahahahah yur a n0ob” like *cough cough* you just did. besides, if u call me a noob– im a nice noob. a nice noob is better than a mean pro, idiot =.=

  12. ^_^, true pro indeed, indeed. Remember SlickSinner, I’ll be level 100 by October. That’s my goal XP

So, now, at december 20th, I’ve realised that I didn’t exactly reach that goal

  13. Flenaris used to be my idol. He’s not only a strong F/P, he’s a nice one =D

  14. Wow, was this blog really that long ago? June 25, 2006, Almost a year!

  15. Hey, thats pretty awesome!
I’m lvl 42 myself, and I love hanging out and chatting with the pros.
But I’m on Windia. Its cool that you got to meet them.
And Suuushi has such a godly Scarab. T.T

  16. Oh god, LOL.
It’s been far more than a year and I’ve only leveled like 30 times >_<
