Unfair Banning for Guild

Well yea Im banned for Ksin hackers or “Third party hacking”. Ok I know that and I accept it. I admit it and I wont whine like a little kid.

But when I read this:

“Finally we would like to announce that we will be banning guilds in their entirety if we believe them to encourage illegal activity. This means, if a hacker is in your guild, and you are NOT a hacker, you need to kick them out immediately.

Guild leaders are responsible for the members of their guild in ALL activities. You are the roll model and the authority figure. If your guild rules do not encourage fair play, you might want to implement that rule now. If your guild is a problem, it will be banned.”

These bans will take place with or without warning depending on severity. This does not mean that just because one person got banned for hacking the whole guild gets banned. But it does mean that if we believe that the guild is a problem, it will be resolved.”

WHen I read this part I was like what. Banning hackers is ok but banning guilds? Thats just stupid. I bet you that if the GM’s actually enforce this rule Guilds will be banned all over the place.

And you might say “Oh you can just stalk the member of your guilds then boot them if they are hacking.”

But I know alot of hackers and they never log on when everyone is on. They are what you call Very Nocturnal Players. Im one of them . If hackers read what the GM’s said they will log on UNSEEN from the guild. And there is ALOT of hackers in Legit guilds that people arent aware of. Some might be in your guild right now. I know there are some in my guild.

Bottom line the GM’s in my opinion are enforcing a useless lame rule that doesnt need to be enforced. Banning hacker is good enough. Banning guilds due to hacking members is too extreme.

…..
And hello to everyone =X

  1. They said they would ban guilds that encourage illegal activites. I highly doubt they will ban guilds for not knowing that they have a hacker in their guild. I can think of so many guilds right now in my head that are hacker guilds and that this rule would apply to, and I think it is good idea. I am tired of seeing those hacking guilds, and this notice would solve that problem.

  3. I agree, and thats the dumbest !@$~ i’ve ever heard, first off they can’t even ban hackers that well! and now they are trying to threaten whole guilds, the GM’s are getting in way over their head, and before they wanna threat people they should do their job, and ban the hackers, but noo they can’t even do that, prob. 10% of ms is hackers, maybe lil less, but almost positive its 5~10% if not more

  4. pfft. i was thinking 20% hackers. 50% legit. 30% unactive/quit. lol. *helps build another few layers of flame walls*

  5. Neh? My guild in Windia [called Leaders] don’t hack, and when we find hackers, we expel them [yay! More guild slots available ^^], and if we can’t, we’ll tell our leader to expell him [if the hacker is a Jr Master] and if our leader doesn’t do it within a week, the people who make the guild lively will quit >=O and make a new guild ^^ [Aka the Legit Jrs]

Anyways, I think that they mean that they will warn the guild master or Jr. Masters that ________ hacks, and you should expel him/her before the guild gets banned. Or something like that, and if they don’t do it within’ a week, they’d probably warn again, and I guess after 2 weeks, they’d ban the whole guild? Let’s hope it’s like that >.<

  6. I think the people that don’t like this rule are in guilds that have hackers in them. Just kick them. I don’t mind the new rule because I know my guild is completely legit, and if we do happen to have a hacker in it, we will expel them as soon as we find out.

Yes. This probably means having hacking innuendo in your Guild Name, or discussing hacking and such. I doubt because one person’s a hacker, they’ll ban the whole guild.

  8. just because someone who hacks is in your guild and he gets banned, does NOT mean that they’ll ban w/e guild they are in.
    Dont be deliberatly stupid people.
    Use your BRAINS.

  9. I agree. When I first read it i also thought it was stupid, even if they were a hacker, they could still be your friend.

Oh and it also said that they’ll only banned guilds if they think your guild supports hacking, or something like that.

  10. Completely agree. It’s a stupid overcompensation. Although the GMs can’t really ever win, I suppose.
