Deafening Screams: Chapter 1

Chapter 1: The Mysterious Girl

El Nath, Ossyria
Alexei and Jake trudged through the snowy plains of El Nath, making their way to Forest of Dead Trees to kill some more Zombies. As they made their way they noticed that there was an unusually small amount of monsters. For instance, they had only encountered one Yeti and Pepe, two Hectors and four White Pangs. When they reached Wolf Territory, they froze right on the spot. As they looked up they saw all the monsters of El Nath roaming around the bridges. It wasn’t safe to go through this path anymore unless the mob was to be cleared of right now.

Suddenly a Hermit flash jumped past us. His body was covered with a Dark Pirate Set while a Dark Pireta Hat rested on his head. He wore a Black Mamba on his right arm and a Black Seraph Cape covered his back. He turned his large green eyes over to us.

“You gonna help me kill that mob?” he asked, smirking a little.

“You betcha!” Jake shouted.

“What are you doing here anyways, Sting?” Alexei said while running towards the mob.

“Let’s talk after we kill them,” the Hermit said.

The trio went up the ladder and started to kill the creatures with ease. Alexei kept using Arrow Rain while Jake abused the power of Meso Explosion. Sting kept using Avenger and it wasn’t long till we rid the Wolf Territory of a lot of monsters. Alexei was able to master Arrow Rain quickly since he practiced a lot on the monsters and was starting to master Strafe.

“Okay, talk,” Alexei said rudely to Sting.

“All right, all right chillax!” Sting said, cooling Alexei down, “There was poster in town giving a reward for killing all the monsters in Wolf Territory as it is disrupting business of the El Nathians that was just posted. I’m guessing that there would be some kind of reward so I was gonna try and I bumped into you by sheer luck so you can’t blame me.”

“. . . I sense a stalker. . .” Jake so suddenly said.

“You got a point,” Alexei agreed.

“Gosh you always do this don’t you?” Sting said, annoyed.

“Because it’s fun,” Jake replied, trying to make things fun.

“Whatever. You do what you want, I’ll do what I need to do,” Alexei said.

As he said that, he went into the Forest of Dead Trees and started to kill some more Zombies. As he killed his hundredth Zombie, he saw the very same Archer Girl that was on the swing set outside of the Residence. He tried not to look at her as it was distracting but very difficult. Then the girl looked at Alexei and caught his gaze but he quickly looked away, hoping that she didn’t see him. His wish came true as the girl returned to gazing at the sunset skies of the El Nath mountain reigons.

Hours has passed and Alexei had been training continuously. His forehead was wet as if someone just splashed some water on him as were his hands. As he shot one last Arrow Rain, he was suddenly enveloped as a bright greenish blue light encircled him. He felt rejuvinated it covered him entirely. He put his Hinkel away in his pack as he took out his Dark Arund. It accepted him as he shot a Soul Arrow at a Zombie. His aim was perfect and killed the Zombie. Alexei had always trained hard as his dream was to become the first ever Bow Master. The girl who had come down moments before Alexei wore his Dark Arund was also surrounded by the same bright greenish-blue aura that rejuvinated him. She smiled as she put on her Dark Lineros but kept on her Asianic Bow. Alexei saw this and approached her, as she fitted an arrow into her bow and aimed it at Alexei.

“Woah! Slow down there girl, I’m just congratulating you for reaching the rank of the Ranger,” Alexei said as he picked up his hands into the air and held them there.

“Oh! Sorry I’m just in a bad mood that’s all,” she said as she put down her Bow and Alexei pulled his hands back.

“Would your misfortune happen to include not being able to find a Hinkel?” Alexei said, hoping to cheer her up.

“Yeah! How’d you know!?” she exclaimed, obviously confused.

“I can give you my Hinkel if you want, seeing as I’m not in need of mines anymore.”

“Oh my god! Thank you, you don’t know what a favor you’ve done me!” she exclaimed happily as I handed her my Black Hinkel.

“This is a Black Hinkel. I had a friend of mine make it for me and it has precious memories but you can have it.”

“I forgot to introduce myself! My apologies, my name is Rose Garde Forestier at your service,” she said as she cursied.

“No worries. My name is Alexei Stukov, at your service,” he said bowing, “would you need some company for becoming a Ranger?”

“I would appreciate it, thank you,” she said with a cheery voice.

Alexei and Rose made their way back to El Nath where they stocked up on supplies. They bought extra potions for emergancies. Soon, they made their way to the Orbis Tower. As they arrived, the door creaked open. There was no one inside and as they walked in, they were jumped by a horde of Jr. Lioners’.

“Stay back!” I yelled as I kept using my Arrow Rain. It seemed hopeless as one was killed, it was replaced by two more. The ground was littered with the green wallets and golden shimmer of the meso. Soon enough, Jake came and saw them.

“Meso Explosion!” The meso on the floor all blew up and killed a vast amount of the Jr. Lioners’ but were replaced. Rinse and repeat as it was 4 hours till there was only 3,842 Jr. Lioners’ left. It took us a few minutes to finish them off.

“Thanks for the backup Jake. We were overwhelmed!” Alexei exclaimed, exhausted.

“Yes, thank you very very much!” Rose said in additon to my thank.

“Chick hunting instead of training I see. That’s a new one for you,” Jake laughed.

“I wasn’t chick hunting!” Alexei yelled.

“He wasn’t chick hunting!” Rose said, simultaneously.

Jake laughed, “You two already sound like a couple!”

Rose and Alexei blushed. He gave Jake a good hard punch in the arm, leaving a round purple spot. They proceeded to the beautiful city of Orbis, where they restocked on supplies and stayed at an inn for the night.
