[AzK]Deafening Screams: Chapter 6

Authors Note

Hello. As you can see I had time to write this chapter because my internet wasn’t working properly and I typed to kill time. This chapter might not be a good one so yeah. . . Enjoy. Oh yeah, I’m not gonna put Jerry Muffin McTownsend Williams Jr III because I’m too tired and talking muffins isn’t my type of character to write about. Please sign the chicken doll below. And now to your featured presentation.

Chapter 6: Gone From The Abyss, Enter the Hopes

Alexei’s eyes shuttered in the dim light, as if he had been asleep for weeks. His pupils focused on the dim source of light shooting out from the wooden door that covered the entrance to the cave surrounding. He let out a small groan and sat up but pain erupted from his back. Searing heat burned his spine as he fell back down. A man saw the commotion and ran over to Alexei in two paces.

“Rest easy, fellow warrior,” the man said. His sharp eyes were like hypnotizing with trust and Alexei lain back down. A musty ragged Dragon Robe covered his body and his dark Tristan hair flowed down his back. He stood back up and a Black Napoleon shaded his back from view. He picked up Alexei’s Blue Screamer and rested it on the ground next to Alexei. “Here, I found this next to you when it fell. It’s an extraordinary sword, if you didn’t know that already.”

Alexei noticed an odd colored Doombringer in the corner, resting there poised for use. Although it looked new from far away, his keen eyes noticed numerous scratches and dents on it. “Yes it is a rather peculiar sword. Is the Doombringer in the corner yours?”

“Yes, it’s mine. You must already think that the sword is odd compared to the other ones you’ve seen. It’s made from unknown metal, hard to be dented. It’s been my weapon for nearly twenty years,” the man explained. “I’ve been through countless battles with it but it’s still not dented a lot.”

“Wait a moment, I recognize your face! You’re-” Alexei couldn’t finish what he was saying as the wooden blockade shrouding the entrance burst open. Two men shrouded in black cloaks stood at the broken doorway, both holding Ribgol’s[Stonetooth Sword is the updated name] with ease. Alexei stood up but dropped back down.Dang, I still haven’t enough energy to fight.

“We are here to take you into custody. . . Mr. Andy,” one of the two said. They held their weapons in an attack position, poised to strike. The man, identified as Andy, ran to his weapon and attacked, orange sparks flew off swords harmlessly as the three of them clashed. Minute by minute passed, neither of the three attackers showed any sign of mercy. Andy looked as if he was still half asleep. After a quarter of an hour, the two men stood at the entrance, breathless while Andy landed on the floor and let out a yawn. “Done already?” Andy teased.

“Never!” they let out shrieks of fury as their skin changed from pale peach to boiling red. Andy focused this time and attacked first again. He was blocked with quicker reaction than before but kept releasing blow after blow, of which
were easily blocked. They couldn’t tell but Alexei clearly saw him sticking mesos in their pockets, golden coins. After a moment of jamming their pockets and breast pockets full, he did the unexpected. The Doombringer shifted into a Dragon’s Tail and with lightning speed, he used Boomerang Step, knocking those two into the wall. He used Meso Explosion and blasted the two men apart. An arm fell next to Alexei. Powerful. . . the thought echoed through his head as Andy shifted his dagger back into his sword.

Andy sheathed his Doombringer back and looked at Alexei, kneeling down on one knee. “Please take me and Jake as your pupils!” Alexei bowed, just then Jake opened his eyes, noticing the surrounding. He jumped up but fell back down and saw Alexei kneeling down to the stranger that stood before him. Alexei didn’t notice him but rather stared at the ground, as if bowing. Jake felt for his Kandine but didn’t feel anything. The man stayed silent for a few moments then said, “Very well. . . if that is your wish but heed my warning, this will make you undergo harsh conditions and full of pain.”

“Yes Master Andy!” Alexei said in the loudest voice he could’ve done.

“But you must rest. The injured side of you will not be ready to hold up your weight. We will start next week. You too, Jake, will do the same. Remember, no persons body is unlimited to certain points. Know your limit well, if you intend to exceed your limit, the body will no longer hold. . .”

Kerning City

Josh and Rose walked through the ghastly streets of Kerning City. They had run away from the battle, seeing as they weren’t any match for the man. They entered the Fusion Bar and ordered two beers and took a seat. Soon they were confronted by a tall man in his mid 30s. “Hello. I noticed you two are friends of Alexei Stukov, I presume?”

Josh winced for a moment but replied, “No, I’m sorry. We don’t know any Alexei.”

“But you ARE Josh and Rose, correct?”

Rose was stunned by this mans intelligence. He had found out their names and he knew or had some relation to Alexei. Her face didn’t falter as she took a sip of her beer. “I’m sorry, we would like to be left alone.”

“You heard her, scram,” Josh added and took a sip from his beer.

“I have come by the order of Andy,” he said. Rose recognized the name, “Excuse me? Andy?”

“Yes. He is currently with Alexei and Jake and requested that I work with you,” he said. “My name is Xadrian, I am one of Andy’s associates.” Just then Josh attempted to stab the man with his dagger but found it stuck between two fingers connected to Xadrian’s hand. “Now, come with me if you please.” Reluctantly, Rose followed him outside, Josh soon after.

A year later. . .

“I have taught everything that I know from experience. Your instincts are top notch, best I’ve seen in the last century. I hope you will use your talents for the good of the world.” Andy complimented, breathing heavily.

“Thank you Master,” Alexei said. He had changed since the beginning of his training. His Tristan hair had grown long and he had changed quite a bit ever since he started training. All the fat built up in his body had been long gone and was able to attain a large amount of stamina. “You did well too Jake. Your Bandit skills are stronger than mine but weaker than Alexei’s skill as a warrior. Use your mind and think before attacking recklessly,” Andy warned.

“Yes, I will. Thank you Master,” Jake heeded the warning and carved it mentally into his head. “Well you best both be off. My associate has been training your friends while I have been training you. I’m sure they are dying to see you after a year. Alexei’s Blue Sky wavered weakly as the strong winds blew at it. Jake hasted them both and they jumped off into the distance.I hope they know. . . The tides of this world is changing. Yet, they seem still too weak. Andy pondered about this then let it go.

“Xadrian,” Andy announced. A puff of air appeared before him, “Yes master?”

“Have you trained them well?” he asked.

“Yes, their skill is nearly at their best. They should best see their Fourth Job Masters as soon as possible,” Xadrian reported. “I have given them directions. They should meet in the Ellinia Station in about two minutes.”

“Well done,” Andy complimented. “Xadrian. . .” Solemnly, he turned around, “We still have a war to finish. Gather all the guild members except. . . them

Xadrian was shocked at the expression printed on Andy’s face, “Y-you mean. . .” Andy gave a slight nod. “Very well, we must. . .” He took out two Perion Town Scrolls and handed one to Andy. In a white light, they disappeared.

Ellinia Station
Alexei and Jake jumped into the Ellinia Station, which was packed with people as usual. They stood next to a female Ranger and a Bandit, two daggers in his hand poised for attack. “You think that they’re here yet?” Jake asked impatiently after an hour.

“Relax, I’m sure that they’ll come,” Alexei gazed at the ticketing usher, who was busily selling tickets. The horn of the ship let out a large bellow and scores of people rushed onto it, passing their ticket to the Usher. In a matter of minutes they were gone except for the people standing next to them.

“Josh, you tired of waiting?” the female Ranger said to the one next to her.

“They probably got on the boat by accident,” Josh said. Alexei overheard this, as well as Jake.

“Rose, is that you?” Alexei looked at the female ranger in the eyes. “Oh my god it is you!”

“A-Alexei!? Is that you beneath all those muscles? Jake?” Rose stared in complete surprise. “Is is really you?

“Yes it’s me Rose. You’ve changed too!” he answered in complete surprise. She wore a Dark Pietra and a Blue Diamond Bootcut Her curly hair had grown long but she held a Dragon Shine Bow. Alexei wore a Blue Sky with Cargo pants but his Blue Screamer had turned dark during the training. Dark River Boots armored his feet and an Red and Black Elias Cape flowed in the wind. Jake had changed too. Instead of his Black Studded pants, he wore Military Cargo Pants. Dark Moss Boots allowed him to move quickly and his his hair grew into a Roving Rockstar.

“We’ve been told that we should see the Fourth Job Masters but we need the two items of which neither of us know or have.”

“Get out of my face before I shove the bow up your behind,” a female voice said coldly.

“Oh come on! You’ve already passed becoming a Ranger and your Asianic Bow is weaker than this Hinkel!” a male voice said.

“Look at is this way Andrews, either you shut your mouth or I will use my arrows and shut it. Forever,” she stalked off towards the ticketing usher.

“Aw come on Alice! At least give it a try!” Andrews chased after her but slid to a stop in front of an arrow. He drew a Hand Axe and smashed it then held the bow in front of Alice. “You don’t know what it’s capable of!”

“Capable of killing you, that for sure I know,” she bought a ticket and jumped onto the boat, her bronze colored hair flowing as she ran.

“I-ugh, jeez,” Andrews sat down. “Someday she’s gonna get in trouble, that I know.”

He had jet black hair that stood upwards. His entire outfit was black except for a shining Hand Axe. He let out a sigh and bought a ticket then ran towards the boat. “Well, I guess we better get going if we’re going to do the advancement. I heard that it was in Ossyria,” Rose said after experiencing one of the most weird arguments she had ever seen. “Let’s go.”

They bought a ticket and boarded the wooden boat. Andrews flew past them as they boarded the plank and handed the ticket to the Usher. “Oww,” he weakly responded. He rubbed his head and climbed back on board. The boat horn rang as the doors closed and the boat left the port. As all the other people opened the Cabin door, the four of them stayed outside in order to discuss the topic that they had left out on.

“So from what I learned by reading Andy’s history books, we have to each get one Pentagon and one Star,” Jake said. “Only one problem, we don’t know where to find them or where we have to go.”

“Well maybe the Job Masters know where to find them,” Josh suggested. “They should tell us where to find them.”

Two Steelies harmlessly hit Josh’s Dagger, “Hold that thought.” He took one of the Steelies and threw it at the top post, a man in his early twenties came crashing down headfirst. “Owwwww,” complained the man but he looked up and saw Josh standing before him. “Lucky shot!”

The man’s gazing eyes rested upon Rose. His cheeks turned red and hearts flew out of his eyes. He kneeled down to her, “O you are thy beauty. The roses. . .” he rambled on for at least and hour before Rose was fed up with it and she pushed a fist into his face. Alexei and Jake snickered, “Oh man! The reaction was priceless!”

“Grr! You DARE mock the Great Karl Maroon!? I should have your heads for this!” he yelled. “Your insolence will not go unpunished!”

Alexei and Jake were too busy laughing to listen to it. Even Josh was holding his stomach and laughing uncontrollably. “Grr,” Karl let out a battle cry and let loose a fury of Stars, of which were shot down by arrows. A boy with a Dark Arund let go of a small arrow imbued with ice properties and it hit its mark, Karl’s claw. His hand froze in a second, along with his claw.

Too tired to make up another last name.
