Well, as I did fear, Maple Story Global isn’t running. It was successfully installed, along with DirectX, but it won’t actually play. Instead, I get the dialog box saying that either I’m not online or a patch is running. However, my compy is connected through LAN, and there is no patch going on right now.
If anyone at all could help me with this problem, please give me some advice. I desperately want to play this game again! I’ve missed it for TOO LONG! *whimper*
*sigh* Hello, everyone. Well, my first day, my first chance since winter break at finally getting back in Maple Story, is running out, and I still can’t get in. *sigh again* First, my last compy craps out, now this…geez, I’m beginning to wonder if I’ll get back in this game.
Still, I’m keeping my optimism alive, continuing to search for ways to get in. It sucks right now that I’m still sidelined, but I’m not giving up. I’m telling you right now, my latest bandit is my best performance in the game right now. I poured whatever free time I could spare into this character of mine, doing in just a few months something that I wasn’t sure I could do in half a year. Now I do have a real life of my own, but Maple Story is a significant part of it. It is a game that brings new things with it every time I play, whether those things be items, weapons, armor, levels, challenges, even friends.
Alright, folks, good news from the shadow viper! I’m back in college with a new net connection, and hopefully I’ll finally be back in the Maple Story game! Time will tell, and my final verdict will be submitted later. For now, another first day of classes begins soon! So until I get back later today, keep mapling, and be happy!

His dagger moved just as fluidly as he did, catching a shroom at every corner, letting them dash at him before ripping them apart. Even his bag joined in this dance of death, catching each lightweight spore that wafted in the air.
Hello folks! Geez, it’s been too long since I last submitted anything.
Many apologies to those of you who’ve been waiting for the third chapter of my story. Ever since getting back home for the holidays, I’ve been taking it easy. I was about to restart earlier this week, until I saw I had to work a lot. That’s right, I work on long breaks, and apparently, Hy-Vee really likes it when I’m home.

{In the village of darkness, an hour after Shadow’s departure}
At the village hidden in darkness, within the solitary school that stood amongst old wreckage, the five elders took up space in one of the instructors’ rooms, which were larger than those that the students used. Originally, the room was furnished with a single bed, a dressing closet, a large workdesk once used to plan iteneraries, a wall clock hanging above the desk, and even a floor mat used to practice martial arts. Upon moving in, the elders had four more beds added, as well as five small sitting pads and a pentagon-shaped piece of carpet.
-=Welcome To Maple Island=-
Maple Island, a place known for humble beginnings, stood alone on a vast sea. The island itself showed itself as a bright, beautiful, and fairly welcoming environment, covered almost entirely in vast grassland. Numerous types of plant life bloomed everywhere as well, from small shrubs to large palm trees. The land itself was fairly hilly and uneven, a few parts with very large gaps in elevation. The sun in the sky shone brightly, sending a warm and well-feeling light upon the entire island. This was the place where new potential Maple World adventurers made their start. One adventurer in particular was no different.
Agh, I hate it! Tons of barfing, problems with my “septic tank” (please don’t ask about that, you don’t want to know), and a headache that has been decking me all day.
All of this came about 1 this morning.
It all rides upon me even as I type. Man, I hate it.
I’m gonna try and have my next fanfic installmemt up later, but I’m not guaranteeing anything. Gah, this headache is killing me.

I have absolutely had it beyond my temper putting up with my internally decaying machine of a laptop. For the past week, I have endured a much more constant lag, along with even more disconnections than I have ever been forced to face. I have tried to defy my fate countless times, but after today it simply cannot be avoided.
Due to technical difficulties, my new nickname for my laptop(along with craptop, piece of junk, wimp, maple hater, lagtron 5 billion, and Laggy McSlowloader, along with some that this site won’t let me post), I have decided to temporarily bow out of Maple Story 2 weeks earlier than I previously planned.
