Aurora’s Redemption – Nineteen

¤ Future Well-being

Silver walked into the room first after Ariex, followed by Ida and Jaysen. What struck her the most was how oppressing the vaulted ceiling of the room appeared to be. Faintly, Silver heard Jaysen mutter ‘Fridge’ under his breathe. She wanted to tell him that a morgue was more accurate, but she was quickly distracted by the sight of Hedwig sitting in a low throne placed on the lower steps of the dais at the far side of the room. read more

¤ Visit to the Fridge

‘Oi, Lady Silver, do your feet hurt too much for you to walk? Do you need a strong, handsome knight like me to carry you?’ Jaysen’s call broke Silver out of her revelry. The faraway look in her grey eyes faded away for a moment, and she realised that she was lagging behind Ida and Jaysen.

‘I’d rather be left behind,’ Silver replied as she jogged to catch up. read more

My Day as a Stalker (aka PPitA)

Warning: This blog is so long, it isn’t even funny. Back off if you don’t have patience.

This happened quite a while back, but after reading a blog about getting back at random defamers, I was very amused to be reminded about this particular incident.

First, a random comment about how irritating the Icarus Cape quest is. I did it once on my huntress, SilverFx, and I didn’t get the darn speed cape. Only after two more tries on my cleric, muwhaha, and my I/L wizard, Gastropoda, then did I get that darn speed cape. I mean, does it hurt Icarus for him to just give me the darn speed cape the first time round? Death to Icarus! read more

¤ Memory

She felt a little raw, hurting at places where she didn’t know that existed. It had hurt worse when she was torn away roughly from her connection with the Soul. It felt like someone had brutally ripped strips of skin off her. Skin.

She looked at herself with her new-found sight. Before now, all she could see was infinite darkness; now the place she was in was dimly lit, allowing her to make out the faint outline of fingers. She looked at herself some more; to her surprise, she found that she had arms now. read more

¤ What to Expect

Jaysen opened one eye, finding the sudden silence in the room disconcerting. He was a light sleeper, a habit drilled into him after years of training as a bandit. Not that he actually made use of this special alertness, especially during the occasional ambushes on some of the richer citizens of Ossyria. Oh, no sir.

There was a warm weight at his side; sitting up, Jaysen saw that it was Silver, whose head was on her arm as she slept, leaning on the small space next to him on the bed. Her blue Maro had slipped off her head, uncovering tousled silvery curls. read more

¤ Heady Business

‘He’s alright, just tired out from all the excitement and the healing.’ Kriel the fairy announced cheerfully. ‘Make sure he takes these potions, and he’ll recover really soon.’

‘Thanks.’ Silver followed the fairy to the shop’s counter and paid for the potions, wondering idly why the potions came in such strange colours and why the Potions shop was in such a mess. It looked like a fight had just occurred in there. Gathering up the white and orange bottles, she returned to the cot where Jaysen laid. After setting down the bottles on the bedside dresser, she dragged over a wooden-backed chair and took a seat. read more

¤ Victorious Escape into the Sunset

‘I don’t think we can stay here any longer!’ Jaysen yelled again.

‘Do you have a plan?’ Ida asked, wincing as another bolt of red lightning struck another part of their barricade.

Jaysen thought quickly. ‘Ida, Silver, you ladies cover me. I’ll get out there, get the pendant, then we’ll escape victorious into the sunset.’ read more

¤ Garden of Darkness

”No wonder Hedwig was so arrogant. Although the numbers of fairies in Orbis have diminished greatly, and their influence in Orbis weakened, the ruler set above them would wield certain power. Not to mention a greater proportion of contempt for us pathetic mortals.

More importantly, this Hedwig has appeared twice in my quest. How is Hedwig related to the Royal family? Why are the Royal fairies so interested in Aurora’s past? The fairies are now so estranged from mortal affairs since the decline of their city, they no longer bother to even restrict mortals from entering freely into Orbis like before. The most of their interactions with mortals are limited to the occasional favours that they ask from us and the monetary transactions that are carried out in the Potions, Weapons and Defence shops. read more

¤ Hurricane Silver

Jaysen woke up the next day to the jumbled sounds of things been thrown around across the corridor. Drowsily, he tottered out of bed, and swept open the curtains, letting the sunlight pour in. Shrugging off his sleepiness, he dressed quickly into his Scorpio armour, cramming his Silver Identity onto his head without bothering to comb his unruly brown hair. read more

¤ Mage

The spectators bellowed. They all saw that vicious axe glance off the empty air before Aurora’s back to clatter harmless at her feet. ‘Foul play!’ A man yelled. ‘Cheat!’ Another screamed.

Soon, the whole crowd was in a disbelieving rage, yelling at the disgraced Lo, whose axe had been thrown through the air after the retreating girl’s back. Verchiel and Hedwig startled in their seats, an uncommon expression of agitation in their faces. read more
