Molten Core raid!

Hi, I’m a fellow WoW player who enjoys the game like the rest of you guys. I hit 60 on my priest two days ago. That was the best thing that happened me, as I could get attuned and keyed for raids. The first raid I ever did was Molten Core, which was yesterday. All of us had to be on Ventrilo, a speaker program that allowed us to talk instead of type. I went with fellow guildies and when we got into Molten Core (MC), the environment was amazing, as expected from WoW. There was lava streams, narrow paths, and most importantly, monsters and bosses. I stood there amazed just by the concept of me actually being able to participate in a raid. We started to move, and we fought Fire Lords, Molten Giants, Ancient Core Hounds. The strategy was as always, have warriors tank and the rest DPS (damage per second) the monsters except priests, who healed people. I almost died because of a clumsy pull by one of the hunters, but I was so excited I wasn’t even mad. We finally reached the first boss, Lucifron. He was like a giant sea serpent with spikes on his back. We prepared to pull him and his minions. The hunter shot an arrow, and they all started charging toward us. We had a warrior tanking Lucifron, and other warriors protecting us from aggro monsters. Suddenly, Lucifron feared our whole group (being feared means you start running randomly) and we lost control for a second. We snapped back to our senses and began getting into position again to DPS Lucifron. By some indescribably bad luck, 75% of the raid died! I thought we were done for but for some reason, the mages were still alive. 10 mages. 15% on Lucifron. My speakers suddenly screamed “FRAWST SHAWK!” Around 7 mages critted on Lucifron. We downed him! The loots were pretty awesome, even though I didn’t get any. Anyways, we went on, and the same old same old pulling/DPS strategy went on. Then we reached the second boss, Magmadar, who was like a giant version of the Ancient Core Hound. I looked at it in amazement. We were in a cresent shape formation to have the farthest range from Magmadar, but close enough to heal and support the tanks/DPSers. Nothing went wrong this time, except for the conflagaration (or something) that hit me and burned me for 400 every second. By the time I had regained my non-burned body (thank god), Magmadar was at 4%! We all DPSed, including the priests even though we knew it was kind of reckless, but we won! Perhaps this is just the beginning of my WoW raiding. read more
