I will cause you mild discomfort D<

It’s happened! I’m bored of Maple FOR REALZ.

Not really. I still enjoy playing when I’m not disgusted by it.

I’ve been offline so long that I guess I missed some stuff. Not much, just like, I don’t know how I got 5k maple points or what that gift thing is.

But mainly, the reason why I don’t want to play is that it’s like walking around a virtual ad for all the stores that sell NX cards everytime I enter a town.
I don’t know, I guess that paying so much for NX, I don’t really appreciate seeing ads like that all over. It’s also pretty much a turn off to see all those new features that I’m too lazy to catch up on.

So now I’m on a search for other MMOs to play. Guild Wars is fun. Just not alone. I don’t know what to do in the game so I avoid playing on my own but when I have someone there with me it’s really fun.

I just ordered WoW for my boyfriend so I might be placing one more order in for myself. Who knows? I might enjoy WoW despite the notoriously annoying community, but then again, what community can be worse than the common Mapler?
I’ll be completely honest and generalize the entire population as immature, needy, self-absorbed and overly dramatic. EVERYONE is like that at least once in a while in game. It’s come to the point that I am disgusted with myself and feel stupid as soon as I log off (1. for willingly dealing with those people and being sucked into their drama, 2. for participating in being like them, 3. having paid to play around that kind of BS).

I have been logging on to Maple recently. It’s been quiet. Maybe because I deleted and blacklisted a certain few drama queens. I can’t imagine training to 70 now. It’s taking me too much effort just to log on and deal with people. I can’t ignore chat or guild or anything either because once I’m on, I’m all about my “friends”. I’ve mentioned a billion times that I’m horrible at training.

I logged on a few nights ago to attend a best buddy’s wedding. He is a nice guy. He invited that idiot that will not be named. You know who I’m talking about. Not Kiss because he’s just never there. Anywho, I told my friend I didn’t really want to be around her since I’d probably end up defaming her a lot. He told her to keep her distance but she was still invited (I should have made clear that I would absolutely not go if she did, you know, being caught up in the drama and immaturity) but she just told him to “f-k off”. But she still had the nerve to show up briefly. I CC’d, she left, it was all good.

I won’t pretend like I’m gonna quit Maple. I wouldn’t announce that I quit until like 3 weeks after I DO quit. I should get to priest but I can’t do that without getting annoyed with stupidity and virtual consumerism in the atmosphere.

  1. Ooooh i myself play wow its really fun if you look past the idiots and make afew good friends there.
Frostwhisper – Doulmagus, Taintedangel and Brixxy if u wanted to know

  2. Here;s a good MMO: EVE Online (www.eve-online.com , you get a free 14 day trial, everyone on there is nice, (or at least smart) but be warned: It’s not a run and gun type game. You can’t get on and do stuff. You need to learn because it’s complicated.

Avg IQ of EVE Players: 120. Avg or MS players: 80.

    Yes, really. (In my opinion)

Btw, Im “Nikolaus Bergmann” on EVE, feel free to add me.

  3. I’m totally getting EVE. My beau told me to get it like 5 times this week. He’s in love with it (that skank!).
Only problem is: I’m sort of an idiot when it comes to playing new games. I need people to walk me through things as simple as “press accept to join the party” because I get flustered.

80 is aiming a bit high, don’t you think? The smartest person I’ve met in game is like a genius 13 year old that I can’t believe puts up with that crap (hear that, Ganzi?).
Well, I’ll chalk it up to their age (mostly 13-16 year olds).

    80? I always thought it was around 50 D:

  5. o-o

Amazingly, I’ve never really met so many of those types.

Maybe I’m just very very fortunate.

  6. Or maybe I’ve just got selective memory OR I’m just very very stupid.

But I have come across jerks.

Although they do seem to become nicer when I utilize my uber-literacy.

  8. *shrugs* Drama sucks, srsly. But I have learnt the beauty of blocking chat, and it worked wonders when I wanted, for once, to not listen to the guild. You really should try it.

Have fun on your new MMOs. I heard my friend talk about EVE too, but I figure I don’t have a gaming IQ of 120, so I’ll just stick to dumb old Maple.

  9. Hmmm. . . should I buy Guild Wars, GW Nightfall, or GW Faction. . . Well, I’ll try the trial first.
