Kay, first let’s clear up the part. How real can a MS relationship get? Very real. Is it pathetic? Yes it is pathetic to cry over a guy you don’t even know in RL, and cry to a pixel. Pathetic, but real. So let’s see how far a relationship really can get [:

Girl’s Story.

The next day was the same as before. I hung out with friends, attempted to train before I got ks-ed off a map. Blah blah blah. That CB that I knocked over last night? Pshh … out of my mind. I trained my pandah to lv. 20 [Yeys].

3 hours later.

” IS ANYBODY THERE??? @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@” I spammed into my BL.

“Training.”
“Busy.”
“Afk soon”
“Gf’s being a hoe to me.” – were the responses I got. “Straight down bored.” ‘I thought. & Nath was getting kind of … emo ish for me, PLASTIC CITY TIME!

After using a rock scroll, and 6k for ticket. I burned 97% of my MP to tele through the friggin’ long long long long tunnel and made it to the Ludi Boat. Whew.

-Goes AFK- An hour later came back from reading. [I ish a nerdd]. CC-ed to my fave channel [15] & dropped to teh Toy Factory Tower of Ludi. -BAM- How come that guy looks familiar? -Thinks- ” OhEmGee … zombies. ”

I tele-ed down beside him. F2ed … and he f6-ed me. LOL :[ Weirdness. ” Heyy do you rmb me?” I asked him.

” Yeah, ” was my reply.

-LONG LONG LONG LONG TIME OF AWKWARD SILENCE-

” Can I have haste? ” I entered onto the screen.

Party Invite from [IGN]. I clicked the O button to accept. Then I just … jumped around Ludi f2-ing like a mofo.

-Some more awkward time passed-

” hey u cleric!!!!!!!!! ” a sin I think? like … typed to me ( DON’T LIKE TO USE THE WORD NOOB BUT SHE WAS LOWER LEVEL THAN ME). came up to me and was like ” plz heal hp ” ans she f4-ed. So I left party and ./makeparty, invited her, healed her and then left. Teh CB invited me back into his party, while we sat there for a couple of mins … then ” HEY U CLERIC U HEAL MP!!!??? ” the sin was back LOL.

ME : HEAL MP O____O? Does she think I’m a GM.
CB : I think she wants you to give her pots
ME : I healed her so why dun you =P
Him : Fine. -Drops blue pots-
Me : -Acting on Noob instincts -picks up really fast- Oops Sorry.
Him : LOL MEAN
Me : -drops back the pots-
Sin : TY!! F2’s like mad.

She came back to us 2 more times before, ” YO LET’S RUN LOL ” <<< was me. ” Alright, where to? ” he asked me in party. “Nath.” I said and teleported back to the station, where’d I came from an hour ago.

That was the start to EVERYTHING we did. <3 Now let’s look @ Sum Pics

Now we’re broken up. Lasted 10 months. <3 Yes I’ve cried, yes I know it’s pathetic … but what else can I do.

Now onto my debate [: Is MS Relationships tolerable … or still dammed pathetic? Voteee Up <3

  3. I’m obliged to think online dating as a WHOLE is kinda pathetic, but I suppose I can understand that the feelings are definitely quite real, despite never actually knowing your significant other in “real life.”

Hmm, -Thinks- -Hurts Brain- ;(( I have no clue, but thats sad I don’t blame you for crying, the feelings are still real even if they are only like said on a game or the phone, Whoever is on that other char is still a person and he/she has feelings too, Lets just say one thing, lol If you don’t want to have a broken heart and waiting for someone all the time, than don’t get into relationships on a game, o.o lmao. I should practise what i preach o.o<nocluehowtospellthat, I’m in a relationship on a game, and sometimes I found it sad, what’s the point if you can’t spend time with that person in RL and actually have a relationship that’ll work, not just one that will end in a couple of months or something , o.o <– Total BS (Bored) Its your choice and I have no clue about the debate <3 Angelslove.

    i do feel however it can be a true relationship

    but instead using a representation of yourself

    it’s not pathetic to cry over someone over the internet

    why?

    they’re close to you (emotionally)

    if your grandma dies in antartica does it mean any less?

    of course not

    it still hurts

    i also disagree that you’re crying over pixels

    since it’s a representation you’re still crying over the person

    i’d cry if i found out aliyah died (i think i would)

    i still haven’t met her

    but i consider her a friend

    you don’t hafta meet people for them to be your friend

  9. I also want to mention i watched a video game documentary on msnbc once

    talked about the history of gaming til today

    they mentioned this subject and there were these WoW players

    and the chick was dying blah blah blah

    guy saved her character blah blah blah

    they became friends blah blah blah

    decided to meet for xmas once blah blah

    hooked up blah

    lived together blah

    got married

    and still are

    so it happens

    edit: might i mention that the reason i’m spacing more than usual right now and making so many typo’s/grammar mistakes is because i’ feeling very lazy right now

  10. I bet a lot of people probably get married to their first GF or BF in the game
    I mean I don’t think it’s that hard to get into an argument in MS, I mean whoever gets mad at cute little pixels is crazy!
    I mean think about it, if you have a good friend for like 3 months it’s not like your gonna delete that person unless they become inactive

    Well, I don’t really know, haven’t had any experiences!

  12. Virtual relationships as a whole aren’t bad. I have several (not romantic). Heck, 90% of the time I talk to my best friend through AIM. However, I am quite skeptical of them as well. It’s MUCH easier to fake a personality online than it is in real life. You have time to think about what you’re going to say, and can use the backspace button (you can’t exactly stop mid sentence and erase all of it in real life). After a while, though, the real you usually shines through. So, I guess I basically believe they’re possible, but I’m not entirely trusting in them. Romantic ones receive the most skepticism of all. However, I doubt I’ll ever have to deal with anything like that.

    I’m only just waiting for the fallout and schnitz to happen. It’s already starting anyway.

    So yeah. They’re tolerable, but I wish they’ll be less complicated. Somehow, my real life has less drama than my Maple life, so I’m not used at all to drama in a /game/.

    but i still believe u shud treasure ppl dat close to u physically (is it a right term?watever) more than online friends.
    because some people can be such an anti-social due to this kind of thing. =

    n to have in-game relationship will just make u more addicted to the game.
    but i’m not against it. i partly think it’s tolerable, because it does work for some people. in the end, it still comes down to fate.

    we never really know if the other person is serious or just laughing at us behind the screen.
