YEAH I’M REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS CHAPTER. REALLY HAPPY ABOUT HOW IT CAME OUT. HOPE YOU LIKE IT!!!!! Lots of romance, BUT the action is exciting as well, so it balances out well.

Argh… err… umph. I opened my eyes, and looked around. I was still in the forest and Jenny was still healing me. She smiled and looked back down.

“Hey where’s Dan?” I asked.
“Oh he’s taking care of Rory” Jenny replied without looking up.
“Hey is, uh, something wrong?” I tried to look at Jenny, but her hair was in the way. Jenny looked at me, nothing seemed wrong. She wasn’t crying or anything.
“It’s nothing…” I motioned her to come sit by me. She came and sat down.
“Something is different about you” I said. Jenny started to giggle. “Come on I know your hiding something” I teased her.
“Fine you want to know?” She asked. I nodded and she pressed her lips against mine. But this time it felt different, it felt like I was king of the world or all my troubles and problems were gone. But when her lips left mine, it was back to reality.
“I didn’t get that can you do it again?” I joked. Jenny laughed and gave me a hug.

I saw Dan running back to us. He grinned at me.
“So you’re okay?” he asked.
“Yeah, thanks to Jenny.” I looked at her and saw her cheeks were turning red. “So what did you do with Rory?”
“Oh, I buried him in snow at the end of the ski slope so it looks like he just wiped out” Dan started laughing.
“How come you didn’t get the teachers?” I threw another question at him.
“Hey, if I told the teachers you would’ve gotten in big trouble” Dan said. “We have your back, besides Jenny is a good cleric she could’ve taken care of it.” By this time Jenny was beaming.

We walked back into the lodge and hung out in our room. We talked about a whole lot of nothing, until my thief instructor came.
“Toshiro, I have to talk to you” He led me outside next to the fire. “Toshiro, all the teachers and I have discussed this. We are even going to extend the field trip just so you can do this.” The teacher looked very serious.
“Teacher… what do you mean?” I asked.
“Please call me Mike. I have a cousin who lives in the El Nath fields. He trains fighters around the world. He has a lot of experience. I want you to go there and learn how to control your Avenger.” He said. I have him a shocked look and nodded my head.
“Mike, I, I have to think about this for a little.” I ran back into my room. Jenny and Dan were still there, they were staring at me. I jumped onto my bed and sighed.

“I have to go see a thief teacher in deep El Nath” I started to explain.
“What? No!” Jenny said. I was surprised at this and looked up. “I mean, you can’t go away, what about us, your friends?”
“Yeah what’s he going to teach you anyway?” Dan asked.
“I feel like I’m being forced to go, just so the teachers could make me control my Avenger. I mean I don’t even want this skill!” I started to yell.
“You should just stay here then”
“Yeah forget the instructor”
“Sorry guys, I have to go. I mean I don’t want to hurt anyone with this skill.” I said. Dan just stared at me. It was a cold stare with no _expression. I turned my attention to Jenny. I could tell she was going to cry. I looked down at my feet, holding back tears. I grabbed my bags and turned my back from my friends.
“Sorry guys, I have to”

I was walking with Mike through the snowstorm. I had a lot of things in my mind. Was Jenny ever going to talk to me again? Would Dan reject me when I come back? Who is this teacher anyway? How is he going to teach me to hold my energy? No one knows me better than me, so how can they teach me to hold my energy inside of me?
“You okay, Toshiro?” Mike asked.
“I hope so”

After for what it seemed hours of walking we went up to this small cabin. Mike knocked on the door and it opened. Inside was an elevator that led down. We climbed in and the elevator took us way down. The temperature rose incredibly fast and I even had to take off a couple of layers of clothes so I didn’t burn up. The elevator opened and the temperature was like Victoria.
There was a strange man with scars on his face. He had steelies on his belt and a few daggers in his pockets. The room was covered in weapons. There were swords, shields, daggers, bows, crossbows, and every type of weapon you could name. Mike walked up to the man and they shook hands. They started talking and laughing. Then the mysterious man walked up to me.

“Hello Toshiro, I’ve been expecting you. My name is Ted, and I’ll be helping you control your Avenger. Please head to the back hallway and pick a room. Make yourself at home.” It was almost as if he memorized what he was going to say because it was so perfect. He pointed to the back and I saw a hallway. I walked over and knocked on one of the doors. It was empty so I went in. I threw my bag on the ground and lay down on the bed. This place was just like the lodge. Just then I saw something pop out of the door. I sat up and saw a girl and a boy. They looked almost the same, but girl had brown hair and the guy had spiked blonde hair. I simply thought they were twins. The brown haired one started giggling out of nowhere, while the blonde one just looked at me.

“When Ted said there was a new boy coming, I didn’t think he was going to be this cute!” The brown haired one said.
“He looks cool to me” the blonde haired kid replied. The girl came into my room and hopped on my bed, while the buy just trailed behind her. She reminded me of Jenny, a lot. The way she looked, the way she acted, and especially the way she laughed. But it kind of scared me how she just barged into my room.
“My name is Cody” the blonde one said.
“The name’s Stephanie” said the other one. “What your name?”
“People call me Toshiro”
“Toshiro, that’s a cute name!” Stephanie squealed.
“Yeah, okay” Cody said.
“Err, yeah, I guess.” I said. “Hey mind if I ask a few questions about this place?”
“Sure, I guess the new kid can use a tour.”
“Great! So what do you do here? What’s the teacher like? What are you guys here for? Are there other kids here? Is there a way you can contact people here?” I almost started to yell, but I stopped myself before I strangled them for the answers.
“Whoa there, your pretty crazy for a cute guy” Stephanie’s head tilted in one direction. “Well, for starters, there’s another warrior, but I think he’s still sleeping.”
“Ted’s pretty cool, but if you don’t follow what he says, he can go crazy on you. So you have to watch out for his grumpy side” advised Cody.
“Well, this place you practically spar against other kids here, like us. But the catch is you have to use your 3rd job skill, a lot” said Stephanie.
“And I’m here for my Avenger, while my sister’s here for her copycat. What about you?” I took this all into my head and thought to myself.

The blonde haired one is Cody. He’s here for his Avenger, like me! At least I can talk to someone that understands what I’m going through. And the girl that reminds me of Jenny, use copycat, which is what again? There’s another warrior here. I guess I could talk to him later. Get on Ted’s good side or else your dead meat.

“Uh, hello, anyone there?” Stephanie started waving her hand in my face.
“Huh, oh right, I’m here for my Avenger too” I said.
“Alright, a training buddy” Cody slapped my back and grinned. Just then Ted walked in.
“It looks like you guys introduced each other. Well let’s not waste anytime, you three, please come to the field” Ted instructed. He led us deeper into the under ground fortress. We finally made it to a dome shaped stadium. It was covered in hard steel, but the size of the stadium was humongous. Just then Ted pressed a button on the side of the stadium. Just then, the whole stadium turned into a grassland. The stadium now looked just like Henesey’s fields.

“Now I want Toshiro to fight you two” he pointed at the twins. “But, I want you to fight using your skills. Stephanie, you are permitted to use your stars, but you must have your shadow with you at all times.” We nodded and took our marks. “Ready, GO!”

I ran to the side of the field and started searching for the twins. Just then four stars flew at me. I dodged them and threw an avenger at the direction they came. Stephanie jumped and dodged them while throwing more stars at me. Next to her was a shadow that took the form of her body and copied everything she did. I dodged her stars, but then a huge star came from behind and hit me on the back. I groaned and fell on the ground. I struggled to get back up and threw another avenger at Stephanie. She dodged them and ran up to me. I got up and jumped away from the girl. I saw Cody coming from the side with avenger at hand. He threw it and missed. I charged up my star and threw it at him. It scraped him on the arm, but he didn’t even flinch. Just then both the tiwns started jumping everywhere around me. I got confused and stood my ground. Stars and Avengers were flying straight towards me. I dodged the avengers, but got thrown off by the stars. I jumped back and took cover in the tall grass. I had scrapes all over my body, and I was running out of energy quickly. I tried to catch my breathe, but the twins kept on coming onto me. They were searching for where I was by throwing stars everywhere. Just then I took out two stars, one on the left and the other on my right. I focused my energy and made two huge stars. I looked around for Cody and Stephanie. They were jumping around throwing avengers and tobi’s. With great strength I threw both Avengers one after another, at the twins. Both of them hit and they both fell down. I took this time to make another avenger to finish them off. I jumped, saw them, and threw my star. Just then Ted came out of nowhere and caught the star. I stared at him wide-eyed.

“That’s enough, remember, we’re just sparring, not fighting to the death” he eyed me. “Toshiro, you have great strength, but you have to plan your moves carefully or else you can lose the battle quickly. On the other hand, Cody and Stephanie have great strtegies, but don’t have the strength to carry out the plan and defeat the opponent.” He handed us three white potions. I drank them down and sighed a great sigh of relief. “Toshiro, I want you to meet Randy” Just then a warrior with a spear on his shoulder came.
“Hey, you must be Toshiro. Nice to meet!” We shook hands and greeted each other. “Well I’m here to master my Dragon roar. It sends people flying when I use it, but it doesn’t damage them, so it’s of no use right now” Randy then shouted and I was sent flying, but I landed on my feet and wasn’t hurt at all. I shrugged and grinned at him.

“Well you guys should get to bed if you want your energy for tomorrow” Ted said.
“What’s tomorrow?” I asked.
“Well we’re going to spar a little, then we’re going to deep El Nath to go fight Yeti’s and monsters like that” Cody said. I nodded and headed for my room. I grabbed my towel and headed for the showers, when Randy stopped me.
“Hey, I have a favor to ask, Toshiro”
“Yeah, what is it?” I asked.
“Well, you know Stephanie right?” I nodded. “Well, you see, can you tell her I like her.”
“WHAT!?!?!” I yelled. Randy covered my mouth and I calmed down. “That’s your problem buddy” I whipered. “Plus I just met you guys, how am I going to do it?”
“Well, you see, I’m kind of shy” He said.
“Well then, you better not get shy, because I’m not telling her”
“Come on, PLEASE!” he pleaded me and tugged on my shirt.
“Er, FINE, but you owe me big time!” I said. He smiled and let go off my shirt.

AFTER I TOOK A SHOWER

I peeked into the twin’s room. Cody was writing something, while Stephanie was dancing to music. I sighed and walked in. Cody looked at me with a o_0 look. I sighed and poked Stephanie. She stopped dancing and looked at me. She took off her ear phones and I took her to my room. I sat on my bed.
“Uh, I don’t know how to really say this.” I scratched my head. Stephanie started to giggle.
“What is it, Toshiro?”
“Well, you see”
“Are you trying to tell me you like me?” She started to smile.
“What? NO! You got it all wrong! You see I already have, or maybe had, a girlfriend” I tried to explain. Stephanie started laughing and jumping around my room.
“Well I like you, Toshiro” she whispered softly.
“What!?! No that can’t happen! You see Randy likes you!” I almost shouted. Just then Stephanie stopped jumping and stared at me. Cody came in and asked what all the comotion was about.
“I… er”
“It’s nothing Cody” Stephanie said cooly. Then he left and Stephanie started to look at me again. I sat on the bed and sighed. “So… your saying that Randy asked you to ask me if I like him?”
“Well, that’s it I guess” I said.
“Well, I only like him as a friend. Because I like you” Stephanie started to giggle and she skipped out of my room. That was the first night I only got three hours of sleep. I was thinking of everything that just happened. Dan and Jenny were mad at me because I left them. Ted is okay, but he can be mean. I can talk to Cody because he seems cool. Randy likes Stephanie, who like me. Man Randy’s going to kill me if I tell him.
