Ice Covered Road to Dreams, chpt 6

[Sorry for it to be so long… : Again I was in a writing mood]

Among the mist of red jr. lioners being bitten, scratched, and hit on the leg with their sharp little horns; I stood there in the mist of them, training hard and fast for my guild master. My ice powers had improved since Tenan last trained me in the Fire Boar pits. I was able to effectively kill these cats faster than the boars, which made me happy on the inside.

The day Tenan ‘punished’ me; I had set sail for Orbis. It was one of Rogue’s ‘places I want to visit’. It was for him and me… It felt as though Rogue was holding my hand as I bought my ticket and waited on the dock and board the ship to Orbis. It was spectacular, the view and everything else. I had the wind in my hair and the spirit of Rogue with me. Until… That giant beast of a monster appeared. I saw many people flee but I couldn’t reach the door in time.
“Stay back and stay out of my way weakling!!!” Someone shouted from above the sails. I hid behind the large cargo box and watched the whole fight between this remarkable Priest and this beast known as Balrog.

One day I’ll become a Priest and you at my side Aaru… we’ll defeat Balrog. You are my strength… only you.

The Priest possessed so much power that it took about five minutes to kill Balrog. He had amazing powers such as Shinning Ray, and other things I can’t name off the top of my head. After witnessing Balrog’s defeat the Priest jumped down towards the deck and rested upon the cargo boxes. I came from behind them and stood before him. He didn’t look up to me, however he said… “I don’t like looking up to Low Level Weaklings.” I kneeled down before him and looked up at him and he looked down at me.

“Are you stupid child? Don’t you know anything about traveling? Always stay in the freaking boat, never go up on deck.” He scold me about is for several more minutes. I only frowned and sighed as I bowed my head in respect. He placed his gloved hand on my chin to lift my head up and looked into my eyes.
“This is your first flight… isn’t it?” he asked me.
“Yes, sir, it is.” I replied. I saw him smile as he apologized for being so rude and mean with me. “I’m just not use to saving little one’s like I used too.” He said. I accepted his apology and we sat on the deck watching the clouds go by.

“What kind mage are you?” he asked me. I looked over to him and said “I’m aa Ice-Lightening Wizard.”
He laughed as he looked at me in return… “Didn’t you want to be a Cleric?” He asked me.
“No, I didn’t, they’re far to common now.” I said to him and continued. “Plus I promised a dear someone that I would become the best damn Ice-Lighten Mage there is…” I smiled at him slightly blushing and he looked back and smiled in return, “That’s… good. Become the best damn Ice-Lightening Mage ever.”

As the boat landed in Orbis, my guild master had waited for my arrival. He took me by the hand and walked with me until we hit the main town. There he had given me a few items that I needed to survive in order to do his training. Icey had led me straight to the pit of Red Jr. Lioners. He had assured me that he’d be next door, dealing with the older ones and to never go to where he’ll go.

There I stood, between red jr. lioners that bit me and scratched me and stabbed me with the tip of their horns. I held my Fairy Wand in my hand and stood there, taking the abuse and pain from these kittens. Focusing all my ice powers to my focal point, my wand, my hands became blue and cold. It became a point that I could see my own breath as my body began to get cold as well. I teleported towards the large crowd as I froze them again and again bringing their frozen quick death. As one kitten died, it had dropped an item for assassins. I kept it on my person if someone needed them.

I continued my intensive training teleporting and striking down kittens with ice. I had seen Icey watch over me from a safe platform. He jumped down and struck six kittens at once with lightening killing them instantly. He then stood behind me and held my hips “Here’s a trick… I’ll show you.” He teleported backwards. I was amazed at this that I tried it several times and failed. He showed me this trick and I began teleporting backwards and forwards striking down kittens as though they were the very plague of this earth and I was healing them.

Several months passed by and I have grown so much that I needed a change of clothing. Sadly I already had my change of clothing since Tenan bought it for me before I left to go to Orbis. Icey was becoming more than my guild master and a good friend, I had become attracted to him. Though the thought of Rogue in my heart and my feelings for Rogue was always there… untainted.

Icey taught me how to make my Ice powers stronger and how to effectively work on my lightening. And what should I train on next. He and I became so close, as I did with the Guild as well. “Since… You started to work for my guild; I’ve noticed your dedication to make our name known and to become as strong as your peers. I respect you for that.” He said to me as we relaxed on the benches near the convenient store.

“Icey… I want to tell you something.” I said to him, blushing rather hard.
“What is it, Lost Kitten?”
“I… erm… how do you tell someone you like them?”
”What?”
“I mean… uh…” I sighed trying to sound… more mature than I did several months ago.
He laughed and replied. “Well you tell them straight forward you love them”
“Ok, I love you”
“What?” He had rather a shocked look on his face.
“Uh… Nothing… It’s nothing don’t worry about it.” I had blushed as red as a tomato as I said that and so did he.
“You like me, Aaru?” he asked me. I nodded and blushed harder than ever. “Yes… I do.” I said to him
“Since when?” he wanted to know. So I had explained it to him.
“Since you started seeing me as a person and not as a slave or a dog. Since you taught me things and helped me for the past few months. And you are so kind and gentle and you spend way much more time with me than any other guild member around. And I’m just happy to be around with you…”

He blushed and hugged me and kissed me on my cheek. “I like you a lot myself, I just hadn’t noticed that someone liked me.”
“It’s alright I understand.” I smiled.
“Will you be my girlfriend?” He asked me. I smiled greatly and accepted his offer and then I was known as Icey’s girlfriend.

Tee hee hee
