Well, as I did fear, Maple Story Global isn’t running. It was successfully installed, along with DirectX, but it won’t actually play. Instead, I get the dialog box saying that either I’m not online or a patch is running. However, my compy is connected through LAN, and there is no patch going on right now.

If anyone at all could help me with this problem, please give me some advice. I desperately want to play this game again! I’ve missed it for TOO LONG! *whimper* read more

Rawr. . . well last time I wrote in this blog (maybe?) my assist was lvl 26 and doing pretty good. Then the unthinkable happened. I noticed I screwed up with her somehow.

She had a point on str, one freaking point! How did that happen? I was being very very careful where I placed my stats. Did I just have a brain fart one day and put a point on str? Was I not paying attention (which often happens cos I’m usually talking to several people in game as well as outside of game when I play) and think I was putting it on sta or int? *sigh* Hello, everyone. Well, my first day, my first chance since winter break at finally getting back in Maple Story, is running out, and I still can’t get in. *sigh again* First, my last compy craps out, now this…geez, I’m beginning to wonder if I’ll get back in this game.

Still, I’m keeping my optimism alive, continuing to search for ways to get in. It sucks right now that I’m still sidelined, but I’m not giving up. I’m telling you right now, my latest bandit is my best performance in the game right now. I poured whatever free time I could spare into this character of mine, doing in just a few months something that I wasn’t sure I could do in half a year. Now I do have a real life of my own, but Maple Story is a significant part of it. It is a game that brings new things with it every time I play, whether those things be items, weapons, armor, levels, challenges, even friends. read more
