Tales Of The Twins: Log Four

Andy closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He concentrated his hatred on Wizet for making him incomplete. He started to generate a red aura around him. His hair changed from jet black to a crimson red. His eyes glowed from a polished onyx to a scarlet hue. The Doombringer on his back liquefied and slithered around his arm, taking the form of a Dragon’s Tail.

“You’re part Chief Bandit.”

Andy relaxed, and his hair changed back to jet black, he eyes from a scarlet hue to a polished onyx, and the Dragon’s Tail morphed back into the oddly coloured Doombringer. The red aura around him dissipated.

No words were spoken as Andy led the twins out of subway. He led them to a run-down, abandoned warehouse, so they could speak without worry of eavesdropping. Little did they know they were being spied on…

Andy pulled out a wooden crate and sat on it. Koge dusted a wooden chest off and climbed on top of it. Nor plopped down onto a barrel. “That is the power of the hybrids,” Andy spoke softly. “The power that was never meant to exist.”

“You can tell when a character is a hybrid; they all have an insignia on their body,” he continued. “Take a look.”

Andy rolled up his sleeve to reveal a tattoo on his arm. It resembled an X; a Doombringer as one line, and a Dragon’s Tail as the other. “The insignias for each character are different, but they share one thing in common: they all cross one thing with another; to show they’re a hybrid.

“The silver design in Koge’s and my eye,” Nor gasped. “That must mean we’re-“

“Yes. You’re hybrids.”

“But what are we hybrids of? Our tattoos don’t feature weapons like yours,” Koge inquired. “Ours don’t even have relevance to MapleStory.” Andy peered closely into Koge’s right eye. “You’re right. It’s a fox and a wolf. Most hybrids have the weapons of their class crosses. But you…”

“It could be because we came from the outside world,” Koge interrupted. “And I don’t seem to have any genes of other classes.” “Neither,” Nor chipped in. “So, you’re actually human? Not just fragments of codes?”

“Yeah,” Koge sighed. “But it would’ve been awesome if we had pasts like yours.”

Andy chuckled. “Well, at least you’re here. But for now, let’s take care of the mystery on our han-”

The rafters creaked. Part of it collapsed, and cascaded to the ground. A shadowy figure dropped from the disaster sight, and took off with great speed. “AFTER HIM!” Andy beckoned. “He could be a GM spy for Wizet!”

The shadowy figure floated from one rooftop to another. He stopped to Haste himself, and continued running, gliding from roof to roof. “Andy’ll never catch me,” he smirked.

“HALT!”

Koge stood in front of the figure’s way. His golden eyes gleamed under the moonlight. He readied his claw, clutching a few Maple Stars. Nor stood behind him, pointing his spear. The figure stepped out from his shadowy refuge. A boy of about 17 emerged, his Silver Identity casting a ripple of light, his Marine Shadow set took on various hues of blue, his Pink Whitebottom Boots squeaked, and his Black Scarab shone. He brushed his short, violet hair with his hands, out of his face, to reveal the amethyst coloured eyes underneath.

“Night,” Andy pushed his way in front of Koge. “Up to your old tricks again?”

To be continued…

  1. Yay! Log Four! But why does it seem that in both yours and in AzNxKnife’s story, I’m an irrelevant character. . .?

  2. Because you are? (jk) You’re gonna have some parts in my story, I guarantee.

    Nice log btw.

  3. You’re not an irrelevant character. In fact, I have something cooked up for you.

  4. Dang, those are long. I read the second one and third one already. I expect to be able to type that much for a chapter by the beginning of August.

  5. LOL I’m still waiting for all of those to load, the Internet connection is waaaaaaaay crappy :
