Times of Life & Death/ Chapter 1| The Battle of Life & Death

There once lived a man with incredible abilities. He had Stamina, Mana, Accuracy, Avoidability, Strength, Intelligence, and Magical Abilities that surpasses human capabilities. His name was Douglas, Solanum. Legend speaks that Solanum was the creator of the four classes known as: Warrior, Magician, Bowman, and Thief. Solanum was known as: Solanum of the Four Class Elements. Solanum started his own family and had a child named Davien. Davien was given Solanum’s abilities, and was told to start his family so he can pass on Solanum’s teachings to his children so they can pass it on to other people. As Davien started his own family, he was given four children. He chose to seperated each class type and teach each on to the one that suited the class the most. Now, the teachings have been passed on for generations and generations. Our class leaders are now: Dances with Barlog the Warrior, Grendel the Old the Magician, Athena the Bowman, and Dark Lord the Thief.

In an Arena of the island of Ossyria

As I walk through the door of the Arena I start thinking about why I came to this Arena. I came here to practice my skills, and succeed as the successor of Solanum of the Four Class Elements for he is my great, great, great, etc. grandfather. I learned that my mana surpasses even my father. Because of this immense amount of mana, I’m able to create weapons from mana and keep them equiped as my heart’s desire.

As I walk to the center of the Arena, millions of people are cheering for me.

” HELLO LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!!” said the announcer,” TODAY OUR OPPONENTS WILL BE ZEPHAN ZANDELL, SUCCESSOR OF SOLANUM OF THE FOUR CLASS ELEMENTS!!! AND OUR OTHER OPPONENT IS SHIBA FUJIYAKI, THE SUCCESSOR OF THE WELL KNOWN CLAN: THE EXILES!!!

“Wait,” I said in my mind,” Shiba Fujiyaki?! The successor of The Exiles?! The Exiles are a group of people exiled from the island of Victoria. They made their own classes and techniques, but some of their skills come from us.”

” Heh, so you’re the successor of Solanum, I hear you’re pretty fast and powerful, let’s see what you got!” said Shiba.
” Oh you’ll see how fast and powerfully I am,” I replied.

” OPPONENTS!!! LET THE 4TH ROUND OF THE TOURNAMENT, BEGIIIIIN!!!

I swiftly used Haste, and I jumped backwards to a platform in the air. I began concentrating mana in my hand, and so did Shiba. I formed a scythe in my hand.

” Well then, I guess…,” Shiba said as his mana turned into a scythe too,” I’d better get rid of you, as soon as possible!!!”

EEEE!!! LET THE BATTLES BEGIN!!!!

Shiba and I jumped into the air towards each other, and before you know it, sparks are flying all of the place due to our incredible agility. I jumped high into the air by pushing my feet against the wooden part of Shiba’s scythe. ” LUNAR FANG SLASH!!!” An amazing blue light was going towards Shiba with immense speed and power. Shiba was able to block it, but since he was in the air facing upwards, he was pushed directly into the ground. As Shiba got up, he coughed some blood. The next thing I knew was he was chanting a spell. The ground started shaking. He was changing the shape of the arena field!!! I lost my balance from the rumbling and the surprisement of what he did stunned me. Before I knew it, he was infront of me with a Thunder Spear ready to stab me.

” Is this the end of me?” I muttered as I cursed under my breath.

Right when Shiba lunged his Thunder Spear at me, I quickly used Magic Guard to cut down the damage.

” AAAARRRGH!!!” I yelled as blood splattered to the ground. Thanks to the Magic Guard, the Thunder Spear, aimed for my chest, went off course and stabbed right through my upper-right chest.

” Is this the end to Zephan, the successor of Solanum?”, he continued,” How pathetic and weak. I’ll make it easier for you… AND KILL YOU RIGHT NOW!!!”

Suddenly, I was infuriated by his words, I noticed that he was right infront of me, right before my eyes. Before I knew it, I turned my scythe into a claw and gave him my strongest jab, knocking him back far away from me.

” YOU WILL NOT MAKE FUN OF SOLANUM!!!” I said with anger,” YOU’RE THE ONE WHO WILL BE PATHETIC AND WEAK!!! I’LL KILL YOU!!! I jumped right infront of him and used Ice Strike on him, freezing him in ice. Then, I used Explosion to burn him and blow him into pieces. I was able to hurt and burn him, but he wasn’t blown to pieces. He was badly hurt. Then, he chanted words extremely fast. The area around me became enshrouded with darkness. I tried walking out of the darkness, I used Explosion, and I even used the holy attack, Shining Ray. But, the darkness wouldn’t part.

” Hahaha… I am the Master of Darkness. I can see, and hear your every moves.” he said. I couldn’t find out where he is. His voice came from every direction. It’s like being stuck in a glass dome. All of a sudden, steelies and icies were being thrown at me from every direction! I used Explosion to deflect them, but more came. I kept using Explosion while getting hit by some of the stars, and wasting my mana at the same time.
” Will I just die here like a sitting duck, or will I be able to beat him?” I muttered to my self while cursing at the same time.

Will Zephan Zandel be able to beat Shiba Fujiyaki, and leave the enshrouded darkness? Or will Shiba Fujiyaki kill Zephan? It will be continued at the next blog….
