Raine sighed. She was running out of potions and was pretty much dead now. She jumped away from the mushrooms and left to murder the snails and stumps. As she was killing them, Raine got a little carried away and landed herself to the octopus. “Ugh! Maybe thinking while absently killing is… bad?” Raine made a face as she jumped over the octopus. One octopus grabbed when she was still in the air and pulled her to the ground. As she struggled without success, the octopus searched her, dropping her books and scrolls to the floor. “Let… GO!” Raine screamed. But of course the octopus didn’t listen. Obvious. As she stupidly used her last strength for struggling she saw a white light coming towards her. “Oh, you stupid.. little.. mutant.. oc… octi…” Raine felt her scrolls and books being picked up as well as her, then she slept…

“KYA!!!” Raine yelped then jumped out of a cozy bed. She went sprawling on the floor and found a girl named Maya next to her coughing. Raine blinked. “Hey… where am I? And… where is that little faerie that rescued me?”
“Excuse me, but I am not a faerie.” a voice said behind her. Raine whipped around a saw a teen– about 4 years older then her– or rather a mage that was much stronger then herself. He had a red chaos robe, a black jester, a wizard wand, and snowshoes. “Hi. I’m… well He named me godofpeace, and sometimes people call me Peace, but my real name is David.” Raine giggled.
“What?!”
“Nothing. I mean.. just what kind of name is David?!”
Then the two started quarrelling and laughing. Maya was forgotten.

“So. Why were you at the octopus anyway?” Peace asked. “I got carried away…” Raine muttered. He laughed. Raine loved that laugh. It was happy and pure. Unlike how other people laugh, like crazy and psyco. People were starting to get obsessed with the power they held, especially the mages. But this boy, or teen rather, was pure. And Raine meant to keep him pure. To not loose him. Ever. She couldn’t fail him like she failed…
