OK. i just got some NX, and i’m not the person to go and randomly buy a bunch of stuff.
One thing I wanted to buy: a 2X experience ticket, so i can get a little more experience in the maze PQ.
Now about the hacking: my bandit is FULLY legit! just wanted to get that out there before i got on.
it was on my hunter that i was KSing hackers, and i stopped using my hunter a long time ago because his stats are totally messed up. a level 2x can easily out damage him lol.
Someone told me to delete my character, but im just going to use him as a mule.
Anyways my *cough* LEGIT* cough* bandit, which is my main is level 66 now, and i want to get him to 71 at least.
ya 70 is the 3rd job advancement, but 71 is the level he graduates from Ludi Maze PQ.
Somebody said that using 2xp tickets or playing maple during a 2xp event is ‘hacking’
I got mad and left a nasty comment on [insert name here]’s blog, and i’m sorry for being all the stuff i said. Im pretty much saying all this to let everyone know i play legitly and my main never hacked, so that no one will make me feel bad and try to guilt trip me into deleting my only high level character in the game.
i never used a 2xp ticket before, even when i started buying nx. i would only get 5k nx just so i can get a store permit to use in the FM. (makes selling stuff a little easier), and a nx shirt or something for the dagger.
I was told that maplers these days are spoiled what with all the 2xp cards available to them, and they level up faster than the first generation of maplers did. And I’m sure that must piss them off lol.
I was lazy too. Most of the time I PQ’d lol. A couple times I grinded.
Even though I pq for three hours a day, sunday to thursday (pacific time), do quests, or whatever, i figure hundreds of players are leveling up on 2XP cards, and they level faster than I do. I don’t play on weekends because the server is packed and I do other things.
Just because i want to do other things doesnt mean i want to hack to compensate for lost time.
My bandit is level 66 and i made him September 2006.
But times change and Nexon is raking in at least a few grand a day thanks to them putting out NX cards in canada and USA, and paypal and ya da ya da ya da ya. Up until i read that blog, i never thought of 2xp being hacking because it was nexon who made it up, not some hacker, and since they are cool with it, i would use 2xp with a clear conscience.
actually i was thinking of buying 2xp when i read that blog. The small guilt surge i felt when seeing the words
‘2xp cards is hacking’ (not exactly words of the writer but the message i got), made me mad and i left the inappropriate comment on their blog.
I didnt want everyone to suddenlt turn into thinking of 2xp as hacking and start hating users like they were actual hackers, because i wanted to use the 2xp with a free concience, and not feel bad. I know it took other people much monger to level up, but now that 2xp is out, way more people are going to level and as the maple population explodes and more and more people level up, im sure people would raise that bar you’d have to reach in order not to be seen as a noob and spit on. Last time i checked, people said it was Level 50. I always thought it was 30 or 40 but i bet people think it’s way higher
I want to ask: Is using a double experience card or a double drop card hacking?
Even if it gets more experience per kill and leveling requires less time?
i’m not trying to piss people off this time and i dont want to get flamed. im not promoting hacking.
anyways thx.

2x exp isn’t hacking, however, from my PoV, it is an unfair advantage over other players. Guess what we describe hackings as; an unfair advantage over other players. Same with Gapachon and meso buying. Nowadays level 70 doesn’t mean anything anymore, just glitch pq your way through it. 70 used to be “pro”, now it’s 120+. Simply because of the nx spammage.
Funny to see however, are glitch pq’rs and 2x exp reliant levelers at spots like MDT’s. That explains why nexon invented safety charms ’cause damn,
That was the BEST blog I’ve just read.

It’s not hacking
if you want a to compare it to hacking, i don’t think so
Most maplers have insecurities that make them bish and complain about anything that makes it harder for them to excel and fell that gap they’re missing
since i’m not insecure (at least when it comes to MS) i don’t care
as long as you aren’t screwing our game and harming nexon
This might’ve been a little less private? o.O Plus, how could it be hacking if it’s a GAME EVENT -_-
This is completely legitimate. I mean, Nexon sells 2x cards. Nexon created a 2x event. There ain’t any rules about using them simultaneously, is there?
Then again, I understand why some might see it hacking. But I think they’re tryna say that it’s abusing, perhaps, to utilize in such fashion.
Nonetheless, I still believe it’s completely legitimate. Besides, Nexon is all about the Bling. They don’t get it, they get angry/desperate.
It’s not hacking
I was accsued “hacking”
When i got a 2x exp and 2x event
And by the endof the week i was 5 levels higher
so people accused me
no, 4xp = hekcs. if i dun hav it, u hack!!!! i defme 4 tht tyvm
Hacking = Hacking. 2X Exp = 2X Exp.
There’s a very big diference there. Consider the fact you’re buying the 2X and then ask yourself, why would Nexon ban a legitimate player who spent money on them?. Think about that.
*rolls eyes* Don’t you guys see? 2x exp is Nexon’s entire money making strategy.
Everyone knows it takes far longer than it should to level up in Maple Story, it’s a free game in the sense you needn’t pay to play it, but time is money, and you’re practically working slave labor for Nexon by playing their game. They try to act like there isn’t a subscription fee, but in order to level up at a pace acceptable to most players, and consistent with every other MMO out there, you have to buy a constant stream of 2x exp cards. The game is meant to be played on 2x exp all the time. That’s their entire intent. You get to pay a huge subscription fee all the time, or your game goes so slow it’s neigh unplayable.
For those of you who would say I’m just whining, clearly you haven’t played enough MMOs to judge the leveling speed.
Take World of Warcraft for example, level used to cap at 60, now it’s 70, though I dunno, might be 80 by now, the point is while it does take awhile, you’re eventually supposed to max out your level and enjoy the endgame content. That’s the point in most MMOs, that’s why you’re really leveling, you’re earning the right to show off a high level character, and play the real ‘gameplay’, which is all endgame. High level bosses and instances. I know hardcore players who can max level in a week, so this is totally doable for the average player in a couple of months.
Another example; Phantasy Star Online. I used to play the ‘Blue Burst’ edition alot, and leveling up in that game is nothing. If you got going on a good session, you’d level up around five times before you finished. I played it one weekend over vacation and leveled up 34 times. This was a two day weekend. Before I quit the game I was level 1xx, with a bunch of legendaries, including two awesome armors I couldn’t equip yet, and had the most powerful possible shotgun type weapon in the game. Their level caps at 200 the same as Maple Story, just that you aren’t expected to devote your entire life to leveling up. Not to mention, PSO’s idea of grinding was actually fun, as it entailed replaying this one mission over and over in which you were tasked with killing every boss in the game, it was sheer awesome.
A different sort of example, why does grinding have to be so boring? Space Cowboy had you blowing up airborne enemies with MISSILES from a high tech flying attack gear. Not to mention you were given a constant stream of exp bonus missions up until level forty, before they start to slow down to a sane pace, I was having trouble doing the missions before I leveled up too high for them to be beneficial to me,
Conclusion; Maple Story makes you grind ALOT. They make grinding BORING. They have ALOT of nice endgame content you’ll never reach at 1x exp speed. *gestures to KMS* Have you seen all the insane endgame bosses up there? They look awesome, right? The only way you’ll ever get to that level to play most of the real gameplay is by buying 2x exp cards constantly. The leveling is intentionally made to be grindy and boring until then, so that you have to subscribe to 2x exp, or else toil in the low levels forever. (And when I say low levels, I mean anything below 12x, because you can’t handle bosses well at all before then.) The game is designed to be fun, but it’s designed to cost money. It’s only pretending it’s free.
wow go damunky o.o
(cant have siggy due to being on a verizon pda thingy)
omg. i started a debate with my opinion and i actually WON! Schweeet XD
There wasn’t really much of a debate, the opposing side never showed up. I just happend to side with you because I was saying this all along.
Anyway, I’ll make my own blog out of that post, because it’s long enough, and only you, I, and like one other person have seen it anyway.
*lol* Maybe then you can have your debate.
