“What do you want?” Father snapped.
“Please, Father, a change of tone would be nice,” I said, “His Holiness said the time has come for you to let go.”
“What do you mean by that?” he sneered.
“Father, look around you!” I was sick of his cocky attitude. “Look what you have created! The people are unhappy; God himself wants you to be gone! Look what you did to the people around you. I am sorry, Father, but it is time for you to go.”
“The people around me?” he said, questioning.
“I know what you did to Mother and Wil,” I said, “They were perfect, until you came along and tore them apart.”
“Wil…Babii…?” he said.
“They were dating!” I said, “How much of a baka can you be?”
“Babii, Wil…I’m so sorry…” Father whispered.
“Father, one person ruling this Island is not enough,” I said, “The power must be shared.”

My father gets up and walks around, rubbing his head. Poor man, I thought, Maybe I was being a it too rough. He turns to my mother and says, “Babii, you never told me…”

I guess Mother was finally fed-up. “You saw me there, Toshi, yet you still went ahead and took me from Wil.”
“Wil was the archer?” He questioned.
Wil suddenly spoke up. “You have no idea how long I have waited for this day, Toshi. The day when you are going down.”
“Wil…” Father said, lost.

“She was mine! I had everything! You just had to storm in and take everything away from me. All these years of agony, watching and never acting. This is the day. The day I will reclaim everything that you took from me.” Wil was red in the face, panting after the speech. I put a hand on his shoulder and motioned for him to sit down.

“Father, the people deserve to have a choice. The people of Victoria Island. They have already suffered 20 years until your absolute rule. They had no choice over what they wanted from their land.” I paused, waiting for the words to sink in.

Father turned around, looking much older than before. “Kevin, what have I done?”
“Father, you created a living hell,” I said, “But people learn from their mistakes. If you let me help you, we can make this land the People’s land once more.”

“What is your plan?” His voice was barely a whisper.

I began to tell him about my plan, when suddenly…

“Men, RAID THIS PLACE!” Father shouted.
“Father!” I said, confused.
“You truly believe that I would give up this power because you said so?” he said, “I don’t need anyone. I thank you for waking me up. I hold the Island in my hands!” He laughed and disappeared into the night.
