Hey, guys, I never said I’d quit….. Lol…
Luna was soaring through the sky. She shouted with joy– she hadn’t felt this sensation for a long, long time. Twisting and turning, Luna laughed as she seemed to fall from the sky. Seeing a good landing spot, she readied herself for the impact.
CRACK! Luna’s eyes widened. She had broken her leg– before she could fully understand the impact, she fell, losing all balance, and landed on a very sharp rock. Blood gushed from her back. Luna uttered a small yelp. Grimacing, Luna twisted slightly (she was flexible, even though in pain). She glanced at the lower half of her back– bright red blood had soaked through her dress. Groaning, Luna began to ran– if she stayed in one spot for too long, she would probably wither there. Luna wasn’t in the mood for dying.
Ripping off part of her skirt, Luna used it to bandage her back, still running. It didn’t work so well. Well, this is better than nothing… She grimaced. Luna stopped to catch her breath– she was half down Perion– she could see her escape portal from where she stood. About to leap, Luna’s foot caught on something. She fell.
Luna was about to fight back– but she was too tired. So tired. I just… want to go to sleep…
“Little fairy, why are you covered in blood?”
A familiar voice. Luna got up slowly, and turned to face her long-haired master.
“I–“
“Shhh… That’s enough. Please rest, little fairy.”
Luna fell into charcoal black darkness.
~*Tomi*~
Tomi turned around to tell Max about the next step– it was tricky. “Ma–” Tomi’s eyes widened, her pupil shrinking. She shrieked.
~*Max*~
“Hm? Wha– THE HELL?!?! TOMI– TOMI– WHAT’S WRONG?!?!” He himself was shouting now, frantic. WHAT WAS GOING ON…!?!?
~*Tomi*~
“Max…” A fresh batch of screams. Tomi fell, slightly crippled with pain. “Max, we have to–” More screams. “Get to…” Another scream. “ELLINIA. WE’VE GOT TO GET TO ELLINIA!!” She yelled.
“Luna isn’t the one… that… that’s hurt– hurting me….” Tomi whispered, as Max’s eyes hardened. “It.. It’s someone from Ell– Ellini…a… They want us to g– to go… There. W… we’ll meet her there, I think…..
“They’re gett.. ing her.. Lu…na…”
Tomi fell into charcoal black darkness.
~*Max*~
Kneeling, he held his one love in his arms. “O..kay… okay. We.. We’ll go to Ellinia… If that’s… what you really need…”
He pulled out a scroll from a concealed bag under his pant leg. It, too, held many things. Not as many as Luna’s could, but many.
The scroll was a peaceful, calming green. I was planning on using this, anyway…
Holding Tomi in his arms, he pressed the scroll inbetween his palms and called on its powers. It obeyed. It always did, for Max. For most people, scrolls were a problem, but it was fine for him.
Power surged from the scroll as the wind around them picked up. He smiled, as the power swallowed him and Tomi up. They disappeared.
Max fell into charcoal black darkness.
~*Luna*~
When Luna awoke, she was on a bed of shimmering, glossy cloth. It felt nice on her skin. In contrast to her surroundings, it was the brightest thing in the world. Getting up, Luna yawned, listening to a crackling of fire.
“What a second–” Luna muttered. She swiveled her head, looking around. She was in Perion. There were seemingly thousands of people surrounding her, but staying their distance. They all sat on wood logs– their faces anxious.
Another strange thing– she seemed to be looking through a fire, but at the same time, through water. Luna shouted out, frantic.
What…?!
Then Luna felt a burst of light explode from her. The crowd gasped, eyes widening. The watched closer. THE HECK IS GOING ON?! I feel like some sort of ANIMAL….
Just then her ears disappeared. They seemed to be moving upwards. Luna raised her hands to feel what had become of her ears. They were gone. Then Luna felt on the top of her head, then moved down– two, fuzzy cat ears rested on the topmost sides of her head. They twitched. Luna yelped. The he–.?!
Even more power surged. Luna gasped, as her pupils disappeared– she was raised up into the air. From inbetween her shoulder blades, two large, white, soft and feathery wings emerged. Light flashed and sparked all around her, as a long, black tail tied with bright red ribbon and wrapped with golden and silver bells at the end twirled out of the center of the middle of her back.
A bright circle of light twirled around the top of her head and swooped down, circling all around her body at least four times, then vanishing.
Luna’s hair sparkled and seemed to lengthen slightly, shining.
Luna suddenly found herself naked. She wrapped her wings arond herself, finding them pleasantly warm and soft in contrast to the cold, sticky Perion night.
Her master, the first to recover from the beautiful entrancement of Luna, picked up the glossy garments Luna had laid on before, and threw them up to her.
As they flew into the air, they seemed to change. Replacing the bright blue and greens of the clothes, they faded into white. They no longer sparkled pompously, but glimmered with a quiet patience.
Luna flew down, and slipped into them gracefully.
Luna smiled at the crowd, feeling slightly eerie. She seemed to evaporate, as Perion suddenly grew warmer. Friendlier. Tough faces of warriors softened, angry, scared faces of the little ones lightening. “Be kinder, because that’s what’s going to keep you alive. People of Perion… I am a theif from Kerning. But I am not bad,” Luna’s voice was soft and clear, ringing out throughout the land. “The war will end soon. The time of light will reappear.”
As the last of Luna vanished, the first rain in fourteen hundred years fell from the sky. Stars glimmered, as the moon gleamed.
“It’s been a long time since we’ve been able to see the sky..” The warrior teacher murmered. “It’s been too long since rain has fallen…”
He glanced around, as the people of Period squealed with joy, lifting their faces up towards the night sky.
Luna fell in charcoal black darkness.
HEYYY you’re back!
— is kind of annoying. Why do you do it?
You use the phrase ‘charcoal black darkness’ too often.
Do people really pass out left right centre like that in real life– er, in Maple? O.o;;
