Hello everyone. This is my very first blog and I hope you enjoy it.
I started playing WoW just a while ago… I have now a level 32 Tauren Warrior. Normally, I’m used to being run out of places (exagerrating on that), because I’m a noob. But, I love the way the level 60s treat me just as if I was a 60 as well. When I ask them for help, they don’t start insulting me like people used to do in Runescape or Maple Story, or any other MMORGP I’ve missed. And I know there are others the same way. For example, I went to Orgrimmar to get a group, but no one my level wanted to do the particular instance. So, I had to resort to the noobish way of asking 50-60 players to help me. If this were another game, they would be all over me… insulting me swearing at me for asking, etc., etc.. But, right away someone whispered me and help me do two instances. Then he gave me 20 gold! All I have to say about the people who play this nicely is : Kudos, and the players who DO insult people should remember… we all started out as noobs before we became the pros.
Tophius
Lovely. Sounds like a real community over there. =D
I can’t help but think that the difference is due to the fact that WOW is pay to play. $20 a month is a good filter against the majority of nasty kiddies you find on free MMORPG’s. I’m seriously considering trying it out once I get sick of Maple.
I agree totally Tophius, i play WoW(power gamer in the house!) And usually adults play the game, and as a horde, barrens chat is the little kids, avoid that and your set! As a alliance, id say, the worse chat would probly be, Dun moroph chat, which is the start zone for dwarvs and gnomes. But other than that, WoW Gamers are usually and respectivly mature, unlike some people in maple story that run you over for asking a high level to help you.
omg tophious Totally true i have ppl randomly walk up to me and enchant my items or give me enchanted items for free like once a day. the only innmature players are just spamming the lfg chanell that u can just leave and theres very few
