I was just reading a person’s blog about quitting MapleStory and I was just thinking about all the friendships I’ve made here and the ones I had in real life that I got closer with.
I’m in the guild, Moogles, in MapleGlobal. In that guild, we all try to get to know each other a bit and play together in groups when we can. When we do that, it’s just so much fun! Now, I find that the reason that I actually play MapleStory so much now is not because I’m addicted to killing monsters or doing quests…but because I feel happy to come online and see all my friends!
Now don’t get me wrong, I’ve got wonderful, amazing friends in real life too, but they’re frequently busy with other things to tend to – we literally have to plan a month ahead just get everyone to meet up and hang out! Or at university, we all have different schedules but can manage to meet up for about 1 1/2 hrs once a week.
But in MapleStory, you come online, and almost no matter what time of the day it is, someone from your BL or guild is there to entertain you or chat!
Another thing I’ve found is that these are the people who listen to my rants, to my problems, help me forget my problems, and just help me relax and have fun. Moogles is like…I don’t know…a second family to me or something! We even have nicknames for each other!
I’m sometimes called Tina Wina or Tuna -_- lol
Then you got Tums (like the pill), and Lina Beans. It’s great!
For everyone out there, how about you? What do you love about MapleStory?

Online Communities are great. When I was on FFXI, I mostly just played to talk with me buddies and only leveled to be able to help them out. I only quit because all my friends did and them my Linkshell (guild) snapped. For a long time Maple was just kill kill kill for me, and I quit for a long time. When I got back, it started to be the same, but now that I’m here, things are much different. I’ve gotten friends, become part of the community (sorta) and can catch up and join in on things any time. I think that’s the main reason I play maple. (I really need to be less chatty >.>; )

This is EXACTLY why I play MapleStory. Because of my guild. Most of my buddies usually online are RL friends, but nearly all the active ones are also in my guild. We love to hang out together, be it PQing, stalking, suiciding or just doing random crap.
So do I.
I got a problem though, I just scream at the top of my lungs and be emo.
I LAUGH TOO MUCH! *Cries*
I like killing and spamming .
But I can’t really kill and spam at the same time .
Sometimes I kill while I spam .
Most of the times I just whack the monsters, and be silent .
