Me ACTUALLY defending Assassins!

Well I used to be the first to say that assassins were cheap and easy characters that only could KS. Now an experence (about a week ago)in Maple Story has changed my view. I was at copper drakes, and a level 50 assassin came in to hunt also. I was more than happy to give him 3/4 of the map because all I needed was a little platform to train on, so I just stayed there. Then the unimaginable happened. He KSed one of the drakes. I wasn’t really mad untill it dropped a maple kandayo. He jumped up on to the platform and headed towards it (T_T). But he walked right by, said, “sorry it didn’t mean to ks”. He jumped back down after sending a party invite. I picked up the maple kandayo, and got aabout 10% more EXP than I normaly would because of this assassin. At that moment I realized that 1000 sins out of the 100000 there are KS at are just plain, (Insert VERY Profane word here)s. Sure this is probably the only sin who would LEAVE a maple weapon for me to pick up, and I know all sins have KSed at least once, but I mean, who really hasn’t?

  1. =D that story makes me smile
    >:-( why can’t I ever get an amazingly good drop?

  2. That was really nice of the guy, to give you a maple weapon. This is overused, but true. It doesn’t matter about the class, more than it does about the person behind the screen.

  3. That’s very nice of the level 50 sin.

    I’m a level 43 sin in khaini, and I’ve had something done that’s something almost the same, only not quite as expensive as a maple kandayo. At Jr. kitties (the red ones, cellions?) I was hunting solid horns, and/or claw scrolls, since both sell for quite a bit. At the time, I was level 40, and still wearing my level 25 armour (i’ve since switched to a sauna robe). So I’m killing cellions, and I sit there doing so for, say, 35 minutes. A Lightning mage suddenly walks in, and kills my entire mob on the bottom, that I’d spent some time building up. One of them drops a red pilfer, which I happened to need.

    I jump down with an f5 face, and ask him If I can buy the pilfer. He says no, then send me a party invite, tells me to pick it up, then changes channels. With him heads my 3 side charachters daily fame, and an extra 30k for being a nice person.

    So there are nice people left in maple. Soemtimes, you just have to look for them.

  4. ya, some are horrible, they ks u, steals your item and scold foul languages at you,
    and threaten to ks more if you stay at that map (which in the 1st place, you were there 1st),

  5. I play a sin on Bera and I try not to KS unless the person is trying to KS me.

    I understand the whole train at drakes thing where you take one spot and train there while a higher level takes another spot as I’ve done it many a time. If I accently started wiping out someone elses monster and it dropped a good rare I would have to debate with myself for a bit but I’d probably leave it for them.

    I did have a warrior show up when I was fighting drakes using that method and one Drake had just dropped a Dragon Skin, which I was hutning for, so I quickly finished up the Drakes and grabbed it. He gave me a frowning face then defamed me and told me that he accidently meant to fame me. What a strange guy.

  6. wow! that was pretty lucky and very very nice of the sin. Tell him that I give him props. =)

  7. sins are not bad people. the only reason they piss me off is because they get boring for me to train, thats why i gave up training mine, i mean LUCKY SEVEN UNTIL FOREVER?! no way -.-;

  8. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. It’s the person, not the class, that are the *******. But it’s because ‘Thieves’ are the most appealing for those ‘type’ of people.

  9. Hey, thanks to tiger, all us spearmen are now considered “insert derrogative term”.

    There is bad and good everywhere, it’s just sad that some people get labeled and others don’t.
