Sooo, this is my first MMO blog. And it’s a rant regarding BasilMarket x_x.
Whoo~
So, it was two days into a basilmarket auction in which I bid on an above average Maple Dragon Axe for 1.2 mil. Apparently, we were on different time zones because everytime I checked his rankings, they would rise around the times I was offline of Maple. I sent numerous messages to the guy’s account and didn’t get a single response. =/
Well, today I finally did find him online, and to my relief, he was still eager to trade. I get on my mule, the trade goes smoothly, and I even fame him for his patience. At this point, I’m developing something in my psyche …like “something’s not right about this guy.” He was pretty curt with me in the trade (giving simple monosyllabic responses and being all quiet), and it seemed like he was hiding something. I put my emotions aside and just left a simple “Nice trader” positive response (which is unlike me, being that I usually like to sugarcoat my positive feedbacks.)
I refresh the page to my BasilID, and to my dismay, I see … my first negative feedback <_ it read never on so was obviously a premature one at that. i guess this just really ticked me off because the guy should have least contacted had he not wanted to trade instead of leading and making profit for himself while his client is left with negative feedback. gyah.>
I immediately whispered him again as to why he would be brazen enough to just leave a negative feedback after only two days of not being able to trade. He responds with the usual “oh, my bad, it was intended for someone else,” which I know is complete hogwash. (I later found him hacking, which doesn’t really come as a surprise. But that’s not the point of this post nor am I trying to make my animosity towards him a stronger point because of this.)
I know I’m overreacting, and you probably don’t care, but it’s little idiosyncracies like this that rectify the claim that MapleStory is populated by immature kiddies who would do anything to turn a profit.
Well, I have nothing else to say. I swear I’ll write stuff with more relevance in the future. But for now, peace.
I suggest you report him to both Nexon and mrbasil. That way, he’ll get banned AND you might get that negative removed
Yes, Maple and Basil alike are filled with annoying people. It’s possible that he made a simple error in typing, but I kind of doubt it. Sending that picture to the higher-ups on Basil might fix things, but don’t hold your breath. Also, not sure when you first joined us, but WELCOME TO MMOTALES!
P.S. I’m not one to say anything about spelling, but I don’t think “idiosyncrasies” (needed a dictionary) fits that context properly. It’s more of a personal thing, like how I constantly correct others on things that I myself do wrong. Feel free to prove me wrong though.

But it was the only word I could think of at the time and you understand my point, so s’all good.

Either way, saying what you said makes you seem a little immature. I’m not one to judge, though. You had a right to be angry, but with people so ignorant, there’s no point in talking to them.
On the bright side, when people look at “never on,” they usually shrug it off as somebody who is, indeed, so immature. Anyone who’s mature will usually state a reason besides that, or at least say sorry.
O_o” I think, you over reacted a bit D: It’s only ONE negative. You could always cover it with many positives.
