Just so you know this isn’t about Maple Story, despite it being in the Maple Story section. This is about Nexon’s new game, which isn’t in the list.
I looked around the Nexon site over my winter break and saw something about a new online game, Mabinogi. I was interested by the look and sound of the name. I went on YouTube to look at some videos of it. I didn’t see anything that gave hints as to what the system was like. My brother and I started to speculate what the game was like. We came to the conclusion that you point and click to move, just like Ragnarok. I don’t really like those games, but I decided to give it a shot anyway.
If anyone has information about this game, can you please give it to me? Thanks!
Sorry, never heard of it. Maybe it’ll be a puzzle game or something. I mean, Nexon’s already ripped majorly off of Mario Kart why not Tetris?

I posted a blog about Mabinogi like a year ago -_-
NO ONE LIEK ME
I signed up for the closed beta. x3
It definitely looks interesting and worth a try. Check out Nexon’s site if you haven’t already. Also Wiki it, the have good info on it.
I think this game has already been out in Korea or somewhere.

It’s been out in Korea for more than 2 years.
The graphics is awesome and the game play is great, but then the process is just terrible.
First of all, it’s just like one of those click and kill games. The only interesting option that it’s included is the “What beats what” cycle.
Normal (Just click) attack beats Smash
Smash beats Defend
Defend beats Normal attack (Then do normal attack or smash after your opponent’s attack has been blocked)
Counter beats Normal and Smash
Nothing happens when Counter and Defend are in action
Magic attack (I think bow & arrow attack) beats Counter
Fire knocks your opponent on their butt (Prevents a group attack )
Ice stuns
Lightning hits multiple enemies if they’re close enough and stuns, but stuns shorter than ice
(Fire, Ice, and Lightning can beat all the physical attacks, but the downside is, it takes a while to charge your magic attacks.)
You can charge your element attack 5 times.
Ice; can be used to hit 5 times if charged 5 times
Fire; damage is increased if charged 5 times
Lightning; damage is increased slightly and increases chance of hitting multiple opponents
*You can buy these wands too. . . (When you charge with the wand equiped)
Ice wand; Hits your opponent, and extra particles fly out and if it hits another enemy nearby, it damages and extra particles, etc.
Fire wand; Very high damage
Lighting wand; Does a huge ass thunderstorm size of an entire dungeon room which does multiple damage to all the enemies within the circumference of the thunderstorm. (But takes like forever to charge)
===========
Hey, those may sound cool, but gaining the money is hard as hell. One of those wands costs around 80k and whenever you raid a dungeon, you only gain around 1k. Also, the chances of gaining a dungeon raid scroll is low. If you don’t use your dungeon raid scroll within 4 hours, it’ll expire and you have to throw it away.
SUCKS
You know what? You can also buy horses to make you go so much faster and even buy pets. The pets works like MapleStory pets, healing, blah, whatever. It also attacks your opponent too. My friend has a werewolf pet (Wolf at day, Wolfman at night)
But. You have to use REAL money to buy them. In Taiwan, a horse costs 500NT and the werewolf pet costs around 200 NT.
(500 NT ~ 13 dollars)
Also, your character has an age. I think your character’s age starts out at 5 or 7.
Every Saturday, you gain an age. Whenever you gain an age, you gain a certain number of skill points that I don’t remember that you can use. (Increase smash, defend, overall, counter, magic attack damage or heal whatever). You also gain skill points from leveling up and exploring leveling.
Yes, you have exploration experiences. I don’t know how they work, but they just have it.
Guess what?
You have titles. You earn titles for doing a certain thing. Like killing a gigantic golem dude that I showed in the blog. After killing that thing, you can gain a title. You don’t know if you’re gonna get it thats the problem.
You can even get a title of 10歲打倒熊的[Name Here]. Meaning, [Name Here] who killed a bear at age 10. (I lol’d)
What else. Uh. Your age keeps on advancing until 25. By that age, your character can’t get any older . So the game OFFERS YOU REBIRTH! No, it doesn’t mean that your character suicides, but it means you reset your age back to 5 or 7 again. Then you can get all those skill points again. It costs 100 NT in Taiwan -_- (100NT ~3 dollars)
Your character can become a fat ass by eating a lot of meat. If your character don’t eat, then your character will be unable to do physical skills, like Smash, Defend, Normal attack, etc. If you eat vegetables, then your character will be skinny, if you eat large meat or a lot of meat, then your character will become fat.
Fat = Slow, high damage
Skinny = Fast, standard damage
In combat, speed really matters.
Also, your weapon and armor can be damaged during combat. So they have duration points. If your duration goes to 0, then you can’t use that item anymore. So you have to talk to the old dude who fixes for you. You have percentage of failure and success of fixing your thing. It doesn’t get destroyed, but your denominator will be decreased (2/8 to 2/7). Once it hits 0/0, the weapon or armor is just trash.
=======================
Overall, this game is like RuneScape (Fishing, Fighting, Farming, Eating, Smithing, Potion making, blah etc.) but more “advanced”. However, the content of the game is only fun if you buy stuff with REAL MONEY. If you just play the game without NX (It’s called Gash in Taiwan) then the game will be very very very very very very boring for you.
It’s just another game with awesome options and graphics with a gameplay that tempts the player to spend money on.
THANK ME DAMN IT <3
Oh yeah, there are classes and races.
There’s the magician-warrior (warrior basics + advance magic), warrior-magician (magic basics + advanced warrior attack), archer-magician, archer warrior, vice versa, or pure magician, pure warrior, pure archer, or mix.
Pure is only in that class, so you can use basics, advanced, and highly advanced skills.
Mix is basics for all, no advance attacks.
For the Race.
Humans (Mixed)
– Can hold 2 single handed weapons (Mace is an exception)
– Running speed is normal
Elves (best as Archers)
– Shoots 2 arrows at the same time
– Can attack while riding on horse or flying animals (giant eagle). So you’re basically invincible because your horse can run x3 times faster than most monsters
– Running speed is faster than humans
– Can use Hide (It’s like Dark Sight) and Play dead 裝死 (Pretend you’re dead so monsters won’t be able to attack you)
*Using Hide and Play dead consumes SP bar
Giants (Best as Warriors)
– Can hold 2 maces
– Does the most damage
– Running speed is slow
The reason why I have a lot of information about Elf is because I used Elf more than Human and when I was playing, Giants weren’t out yet. I got the Giants information from my friends while I was doing homework because they kept on talking about it in the library.
THANK ME DAMN IT <3
