Ch and Pt 1 of the joint fanfic

Melissa Jesham was 18 years old, and She was living a completely normal life.
That is…until she had gotten the job of a Magician.
She was new to her job, and had a little trouble adjusting to it, since she had to use magic, but she was strong for a Beginning Magician.

Melissa was still exploring the Victoria Island at that time, but she decided to explore to the other areas, after all, She could protect herself a bit more now.
She had just enough meso to afford a boat to Orbis then to Ludibrium.
As she came off the ship at Ludibrium, she wondered where she should go.

Hmm.THE TOY FACTORY! , She thought happily.

As made her way to the factory, she studied the strange brown & pink monsters, which seemed to resemble teddy bears.
Pink and Brown Teddies! , she thought excitedly.

Once she got to the factory, she saw a few Panda Teddies….and an odd looking portal.
It glowed eerily, and it seemed to draw her in.
Where does it lead?

She looked around the factory– it was deserted.
Melissa looked at the portal again.
Should I go through it?
Her curiosity got the best of her and she went through it.

The moment she stepped in, she started falling.
As she continued down, she screamed.
How deep was the fall? Was she going to die?

Melissa soon found a floor under her feet.
She stopped her screaming, and observed the area.
Where Am I?

Chronos surrounded her, and she stood no chance.

“Oh.My.GOOOOOOSH! SAVE ME!!!!” She screamed.

In the blink of an eye, the chrono’s that were once surrounding her had exploded, leaving just a few cogs behind.

Melissa’s eyes bulged.
“WOW! Did I do that?” she asked herself, staring at her wand she held in her left hand.

“Uh…” said a voice behind her.
Melissa spun around.
There in front of her stood a handsome boy around her age.
His Red Maple Bandana covered his black hair, which seemed to be tainted with some blood.
Most Rouges that Melissa had met, made sure to keep their clothes clean. But not this one.
He wore a Red-China set, but it was stained with a lot of blood.
In both hands he held a very strange blade.

“Did you kill the chronos?” Melissa asked him, smiling.
“Yea” he replied blankly.

Melissa stared at his blades, “Um…Thank you. What’s your name?”
“Zeratul” he replied, watching Melissa’s eyes wander to his blades.
“What a strange name…”
Zeratul shrugged.

Melissa waited for him to say something about the blade he was holding, but after a long moment of the two staring at his blade, Melissa decided to not bother anymore and say;
“Um…do you happen to know where I am?”
Zeratul replied, “Path of Time”
Melissa shook her head, “Path of Time? I’ve never heard of it!”
“It’s…a strange area in this…’maple universe’.”
Melissa laughed, “So, where am I? Really.”

“Tell me this instead, how do I get back to Ludibrium-Scania Station?”
“Ludibrium-Scania Station?” He repeated.
“Uh…yea…” Melissa said awkwardly.
“I believe…that is another dimension.”
Melissa scoffed, “Dimension?”
“Um, Why yes, You are in ‘Path of Time’, That is where all the Dimensions and Times meet.”

Melissa laughed, “ OKAY, Your Mental!”
“I speak the truth, for I was raised in the StarCraft Universe!”
Melissa raised an eyebrow, “ What the HECK is that?”
“The Starcraft universe,” Zerutal repeated.
“I know that, WHAT is it?”
“The Starcraft universe,” Zerutal replied, Smiling.

Melissa slumped.
“Okay, Suppose this is another ‘Dimension’.”
Zerutal nodded.
“How do I get back to my Er—Dimension.”
Zerutal moved his head to the side, swaying his hair.
“You can’t go back.”
Melissa sighed, looking at her surroundings.
This can’t possibly be another Dimension!
Everything looked exactly the same!
The purple walls gave off an eerie look, Every monster was the same.

Dimensions are supposed to be different from each other!
Melissa stared at Zerutal, whom seemed to just relax.

“Do you know anyone who came from my Dimension” Melissa asked, biting her lip.
At that time Melissa realized that she was Starting to believe him.
Zerutal stared at her quietly, then said “I have met many people who have stumbled to the Path of Time. Few come from your Dimension”

Melissa bit her lip harder and it started to bleed.
“What’re their names?”
“Uh…” he replied, finally stopping with his annoying formal talk, “I forgot.”
“Think! I remember plenty of people who have been reported missing.”
“I remember two boys…I believe their names were…Bill and…Tassadar.”

Melissa dug deep into her thoughts.
Bill and Tassadar…

“How long ago did they arrive here?”
“Perhaps a couple of years ago.”
“How long?”
“5 years?”

Melissa continued digging deeper.
God, My shovel sucks!
Suddenly, she finally hit something with the bad shovel of hers.
The News Headline: “Two Boys, age of 14, reported missing, Go by the name of Bill and Tassadar.”

Melissa knew there was more…but she could not dig deeper.
But she knew it was something important…
But her shovel wasn’t of the high quality to dig that deep.

Zerutal smiled, “From looking into your eyes, I believe that you recall something…?”
Melissa stared at him dully, “What is with you and your formal talk?”

Zerutal grinned, “Just a habit I have with strangers.”
“Strangers?” Melissa frowned.
Zerutal laughed, “Yes, I’m more of a quiet person, So I develop strange habits.”
Melissa nodded to show she understood what he meant, Which…she didn’t.

Melissa’s mind finally started to stray off to the fact she would never go home.
Her mind numbed with worry.
She wanted to find those two boys.
She wanted to find out the secret that was buried so deep in her mind, she’d go mental if she tried to get to it.

“Zerutal.” She said.
“Hm…?”
“You have to help me find those two boys. You have to help me find a way back!”
Zerutal smiled, “You are the first person who didn’t continue insisting I go to the mental hospital, So of course I will!”

Melissa looked at him strangly, “…Huh?”
Zerutal laughed, patting her back.
“Joking, Just joking! Now, since your just a beginning magician…who ‘bout we train you up a bit?”
“…What?” Melissa asked, disappointed they couldn’t just start off looking for the two boys, but at the same time, excited to become stronger.
“Tell me, what 2nd job advancement do you plan of getting?”

It struck Melissa knowing that she never really bothered to think about that.
“I…don’t know.” She stammered.
“For this type of thing…I think you should become either a Cleric or a Ice/Lightning wizard.”
“I’ll think about it.” Melissa smiled.

“Okay then!” Zerutal said excitedly, “Follow me…” his excitement drowned out.
“Melissa.” Melissa replied flatly.
“Yes, C’mon. We’re training on the teddies.”
