(Alright, before I begin, I would like to point out that this is my first blog and I’m not the best at this (I’m not even sure if I’m posting this in the right area).)
Anyway, I’m not sure if anyone else has noticed this as well, or if it’s just me because I’m one of them, but there seems to be a huge problem with this game’s status set-up (if you don’t what game I’m talking about, I mean MapleStory). I like to PQ alot with my, now, level 39 Hunter, Mouse55. This is my first character, so my “stats” are extremely messed up (and yes, I use Arrow Blow instead of Double Arrow). I’ve got an attack of 74~261, 40 strength, 145 dexterity (+8 from equipment), 8 luck, and 9 inteligence. So I don’t have the most stable of damage in the world. Alot people ask why I’m so weak and I tell them what I just told in here. I usually get this (or something to this extent): “0MG! Y0u 73h nubzorz!1 u must strt 0vr!” and get expelled from the party (or the one who says that demands that the leader expels me). And that’s what brings to this blog (or “rant” you could call it.
I’m tired of people saying that you have to have some kind of “perfect” build or your just a plain idiot. If this is and MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online “Role Playing Game" then why do you have to be like everyone (and I mean everyone) else to not be insulted? I just find that it’s starting to get rediculous (sorry for spelling) that people will go onto public forums to ask (in a basic sense) if they are “perfect” and stay or restart, regardless of their level. “Do I have enough HP?” “Am I to weak?” “I didn’t max this, should I restart?” These are the reasons why I don’t like “Character-building guides” it’s because it causes people to believe that they are infereor to everyone else in the game. I just wanted to get people who think they might be infereor to look at there character and think if they want to be like every other person in MapleStory, just so they’ll have a-little more strength/HP/whatever else you want. I, personally, couldn’t hold my own againt a Master Chronos, let alone an entire PQ, but that doesn’t matter to me because it just shows that I’m different. And, hopefully, this will help other “infereor” people to stay “infereor”.
That’s really all I wanted to say about this. (Again, this is my first blog so go easy on me.)

Whoops, wrong button.
You spelt inferior wrongly. Anyway, I agree with you. If there were only a few reasonble builds to follow then there would be no point of wizet giving us maplers the versatality of putting our skill points and ability points into anything we want to. If there is build that is absolutely necessary to follow then wizet shouldn’t have let us train any skill we wanted and made us stick to the “right” one.
I think that you should have the right to train anything you want, but guides are here to ensure that you extract the best potential out of your character. That is definitely true. However this is a recreational game and most people play it for leisure. Few people are very passionate about it. I am one of the rare examples . Anyway, back to the point. I think that you should have the right to train any skill you want. Wizet gave us more skills than our sp could cover for a reason. Yet you may not want to lose out to the majority who use “perfect” builds since they will be stronger and can ks you.
My conclusion is that it really depends on your preferences. You can choose the creative approach to training you character but many will discriminate you and you may be left out from society. There is a problem with other users there I must admit. THIS IS ONLY A GAME! YOU DON’T HAVE TO DISPPOINT PEOPLE BY EXEMPTING THEM FROM PQ AS THIS GAME IS MEANT FOR LEISURE AND TO RELIEVE STRESS, NOT CREATE STRESS AND HATRED!
I apologize, I’m not the best when it comes to spelling.
