Genesis of Shadows-Part 9

Finally, part 9 is out.. Resubmited

I jumped, mainly out of instinct, to my left, out of the way to those tusks. It charged past me, but instead of going into the fast aproaching wall, as I expected, but instead turned with un(…umm)boarly speed and wheeled around, without stoping to start another charge against me. I noticed a black object around its neck, and figured it was a sort of puzzle. Next time it would come back, I’d reach for it.

Me, still prone on the ground, and it, starting anither charge, I wasn’t in the best possition for this fight. Yet still I didn’t give up, and continued to think of my plan, as fast as I could think. But I let my mind wander, about the past, the boat and my brother, and what the cloak could mean. I payed for it. Instead of doing another sumersault forwards, I did a much slower one backwards. It hit my bowels, striagh in the gut with one of its tusks and gored out of my stomach, breaking a rib, and finished its charge.

I sat there, clutching my wound, blood seeping out around my hands and fingers, onto the floor. I coughed, which hurt even more, and blood spattered onto the floor. Adrenaline kicked in, but didn’t cover pain, mearly gave my strength to dodge the next attack, spilling more of my bowls after recovering from the roll. There I saw it, a shining object, just for a second in the light, clear as day, in this dark room.

Yet, I let my mind wander yet again. The boar rushed forwards from behind me, and I noticed it slightly before. But even that was too late and I got hit in the back of the thigh, tendons snaping. I fell forward, coughing up more blood, with my mind shrouded in pain, nothing but the pain of my body, and the will to releive it. Spralled on the floor, one hand clutching my stomach I reached out, blurred by darkness. “If I dont finish this,” I thought, nearly blindly feeling for the bright object. “I’m going to fall unconcious, and all will be in vain. I can’t die here” I widened my eyes as I felt the object in my hand.

I sqeezed and felt pain, yet again, and blood trickling down my fingers, but no matter, the boar was fast approaching, it jumped up, attempting to gore my face, but was intercepted by, what I thought was, a shard of glass. I cut it directly in the neck, and combined with its momentum, it went straight down to its shoulders, cleaving a great wound, spilling blood down my hand, and onto the floor. The beast fell on me, hurting me further with its weight, obviously dead.

I gave up living at that point. A 150 pound pig on my open gut, bleeding to death. I wasnt going to make it out of here. I started to black out.
Last I saw, was light, opening up into the room.

Surely,

I was dead

~Relation: Pigs are annoying.. like.. 50 damage to a level 14? Jeez..~
