It’s amazing how long one can take to get that mere 50% required to get from level sixty-nine to level seventy.

I blame the muffins.

Anyway, that little saga ended on Friday, one day after Eona called me up over the phone to ask about the fight. Eona told me that a few people had complained to her about my behaviour (‘Anihow kick ppl, anihow invite noobs etc.’) and so I was demoted even without the chance to defend myself.

I only wonder why those people who complained didn’t bring up their objections to me first before running off to tell Eona.

So, I explained myself again the second time round on Maplestory, she requested for SSes, I sent the URLs to her before logging off from SilverFx to train Gemina. I just didn’t want to stick around.

‘Sides, there was my personal health potion of a Cleric named muwhaha waiting for Gemina in the Evil Eye Caves. ^^

A few minutes later, Eona whispered and summoned me back to SilverFx.
And yay, I was re-promoted and joyful convos ensued.

In no time, (well, almost no time, anyway) both of us finished up the ‘kill999ebileyesNAO’ quest and trekked our way back to Sleepywood, on service 11.
I.e. On our (character’s) own two legs.

Nah, the sole reason wasn’t that we were stingy with the Nearest Town Scrolls: We were competing with each other along the way to see who could finish up the ‘murder999hornedMushiesNAO’ and the ‘fillet999zombieMushiesNAO’ first.

Because we were in a party (meaning that we shared the number of kills when we were in the same map), if we wanted to get ahead of each other, we’d need to ruuun into the next map to get as far ahead as possible so that we could gain ‘extra’ kills individually. (Either that, or you could do what the Brother did: Linger behind to gain ‘extra’ kills. That lousy cheater.)

It was strangely amusing, really; both of us ended up hanging around the portal to Sleepywood, reluctant to get back to town first in case the other ran off to kill more Mushies. Don’t you love the way sibling rivalry works?

I won the Horned Mushies race, while the Brother won the Zombie Mushies one. A pretty ‘duh’ outcome, really, since he is the Cleric.

Oh, and Gemina levelled up along the way. I wanted to do a grand Slash Blast on the three Zombie Mushies in front of me for a grand level-up SS, but the Brother just had to kill something else and give me party EXP. >>;

Then we got bored, and dashed off for the Exploratory ‘Suicide’ Runs. As usual, the ESRs aren’t as suicidal as the name suggests, since I am a frigging coward: we only went to smack some Golems and some Iron Hogs. (Ignore the spoilsport of a Fizard to the left. :/ )

Butbutbut. I can so smack Golems silly on my own!

Afterwards, my brother wanted to try the undead mobs at Sharenian, so I logged back into SilverFx who was hanging around there. At the end of a furious killing spree, we went to a safe spot to take a break.

The Brother asked to borrow my Blue Chair for his MP to heal faster, and I dropped it for him. He sat down, and for the hell of it, tried to drag it out of his inventory.

So here’s the discovery we made: You can use the Blue Chair even when it is no longer in your inventory! ^^;

This give us the absurd image of having ONE Blue Chair, and sharing it out with an entire mob of people…

I have started the shopping for the level 70 equips.
Or shall I say I started the SUPERFRUSTRATINGAWERGincoherenceWEFD HUNT for them.

I have already decided a long time ago that I would get the Dark set for lvl 70, i.e. Dark Patriot, Dark Eyes, Dark Lineros. Because it’s all sexeh, and will completely match the Ranger Sexehness That Is To Come.

Dark Lineros: Check. I got it off an auction from BasilMarket, and at a good price too, imo. (+1 DEX above average

Dark Eyes: Check. I was trawling the FM, and chanced upon someone selling it for 299,999 mesos in Channel 1, Room 12. I was all ‘Yay!’ and alt-tabbed for a bit to check out the stats on BasilMarket’s list. When I came back, I found myself kicked out of the shop: ‘GTHO, the owner is reordering the items in the shop and doesn’t want you to see him add that washing powder into the white pots.’
I was like, ONG, NU! *f5!* and hung around the place, biting my lips and my teddy bear’s hand and clicking like insane on the shop. Until finally, finally, I got back into the shop…
… the price was happily ‘reordered’ to 249,999meso. ^_____________^

Dark Patriot: Oh, I can so KICK myself for this. I found one with roughly average stats, going for 222,222 mesos. But I hadhadhadHAD to bloody go and bloody hesitate and bloody leave it for another day.
When I went back, six hours later: It. Was. GONE.T_T
The only other Dark Patriot I saw in the FM was this one going for 1.8mil. >>; No way I’m going to spend that much on a hat, even if it is a sexy hat! >
Then there was this Blue Patriot that I saw, going for 99,999 mesos, but BannedStory showed me that I’d look completely urgh wearing that with a Dark Lineros, so I didn’t take that.

Not to mention the lvl 70 Elf Boots (Can’t find one), and the lvl 70 Metal Silver Earrings (Why are they all so expensive? O_O)

Sighs. I should have done the shopping a long time ago, I know, but there was no money then! >

And while I trawled through the FM, I keep on seeing items priced at tens of millions, even hundreds of millions, and I wonder. Who has all that mesos to buy these things? What do you do to get all those mesos? Kill, burn, steal? :/

So far, that’s about all. The percentage now is at 65%, lvl 69. I might level up by the end of this week, but I feel so unmotivated without my equipments prepared. T_T But it feels so tiring to trawl through the FM, the forums aren’t yielding anything, and I’m too stingy to spend S$0.70 to get the Owl of Minerva. :X
