Okay. Where was I?

Ah yes. Kerning. Nothing interesting, but Mum did run into her friend there, who was finishing up quests with her Ice/Lightning Mage. They chatted a bit, while Sypherion and I just sat around waiting for them.

For someone so high levelled, Sypherion isn’t the least bit hoity-toity, and has such a good sense of humor. In no time, we started commiserating about training, lousy item drop rates and everything else.

And when we got onto the topic of the recent events drop, I stated wistfully how I really wanted a Rose for myself. Sis promised to find one for me, but she didn’t get anything in her four hour training spree.
(Bro’s response to this bad luck? ‘Stinks to be you.’ You have to love him for that.)

Then the sweet girl up and traded me some New Year drops and two Yellow Roses, one for me and another for Sis. Go Sypherion! 😀

It didn’t stop there, because two hours or so after we parted ways, Sypherion found a couple of White Roses and called me back to Kerning, where she was bullying the Stirges for the drops, and gave an +2 White Rose to me. Made me all happy, of course; the white ones could go easily for 600K+, especially the above average ones, and she didn’t really need to give me one when she could sell it.

But she did! And I ain’t complaining.

I thanked Sypherion over and over again, of course.

No matter. I’ll get the rest of the family to fame her one day. 😀

So I ran around the rest of the day, wielding the spiffy new White Rose as my new weapon. Mum thinks that I made a really interesting and colourful sight with the clothes and all, and by that time, I was sort of enjoying the Cashshop clothes a little bit more. I had more than one passer-by ask if I could sell them the rose; normally I would jump at the chance to make more mesos (someone has to do that job in this house, really), but heck, this is a special case. <3

I spent the time completing quests, especially the Chinese New Year (CNY) quests, which gave spiffy experience (20K exp each time, anyone?) I levelled up with all that experience from hunting the items for the quest and from completing the quest itself.

I even managed to get a Red Rose drop killing the Green Mushes outside Sleepywood, adding one more Rose to the collection. ^^ Pity, Mum didn’t get a picture of both them things. Oh well.

Another thing about the CNY quest. I don’t understand how someone can be such a glutton: After I delivered one Steamed Fish and one Roasted Chicken to that Zhang Liang guy, he asked for TEN more of each! :O!
(Sis says that it’s perfectly normal for NPCs around here. Apparently, she had to do this quest for this Moppie dog who asks for over one thousand Fishes. -_- How in the Secret Spa Hell do they work off all the excess calories?)

Meanwhile, strange and wonderful things happened. Like this.
Cor. Wish I had the mesos. 😛

Mum brought me to the Sleepywood dungeons to train after I levelled to 29. Before we entered the dungeons though, a random passer-by DaphneThief stopped me and traded me a nice 100% pet speed scroll for free, seeing as how I had Bakwa trailing after me 😀 I wonder how much I could sell that for…

Anyway. There was more Spreading of Cheer With Big White Flower. I am pretty sure the Zombie mushrooms and their friends appreciated it greatly, because they dropped me a Sky Snowboard. ^^; I even made a new friend, Radioaktive, after he passed me (yet another) 100% Pet speed scroll and we chatted a bit about boredom in Maple and other Warriorly stuff.

Then, some irritants dropped into our spot, flashing Cashshop items like colour-clashing blingblingbling! and consequently asked everyone else to ‘CC PLZ’. If you thought my outfit was bad, you should have seen theirs. Maybe I don’t look good in my clothes, but at least mine doesn’t offend the eye like so much acid.

Doesn’t help that they like to speak like thiis, biicos dey r s0 kuutee.

After their umpteenth ‘CC PLZ’, Mum finally snapped, ‘Aw, shuddap. There are no cookie cutters here.’
Not that it made any difference. They still continued anyway, like some broken Robots with shorted circuits and faulty programming.
And, don’t forget, horrible sense of colour.

After a bit, Sypherion joined us too, since she was on her way to complete the ‘kill999MushesNAO’ quest, and wanted to pass some 176 Orange Pots to me that she bullied out of Stirges. She discovered that the middle part of the map was actually EMPTY. Empty as in ‘Hai, there are spots here for more people to join in the killination fun!’ empty.

But no, the obnoxious people HAD to drop down and ruin the killination fun for two Noob warriors. Balrog’s arse.

After a brief phlame from Mum, (‘Some people just don’t know how to share. Or dress tastefully.’) Radio and I moved off to join Sypherion and we had fun fooling around.

Then, catastrophe struck! Something black and hairy-looking dropped when I bashed dead a Mush with my spiffy White Rose. And to my horror, it looked like my hair!

Gemina: ARGH!
Gemina: I’m shedding hair!
Sypherion: Relax. I didn’t know you were that stressed.
Gemina: I didn’t know that either! D:
*Here, Bakwa runs over to pick up that clump of hair*

‘You have gained a Long Thread Moss,’ proclaims the Heavenly Text Thingy.

Gemina: Oh. Phew.

While I bashed around, I heard Mum and her friend plan a rescue of Sypherion’s cousin Risis from Showa Town, since the Milks that used to transport people out of that place became spoilt or something. (Maybe they became sour…? I don’t know.) But it sounds scary, the Yakuza and what not.

( I don’t think Sis can really handle that mob; the last time she tried to escort a little Magician out of Showa, the other girl got battered so badly that she gave up in the end. Sis is that lousy in the middle of crisis… ah, but don’t tell her I said that.)

In the end, I stopped training at level 29, 76%, because I was seriously too tired. Leveling up continuously at this level isn’t quite like what it was previously.

But no matter. Tomorrow’s another day, and surely, but then, I’ll be able to get my second job advancement.

Then no one can say that Gemmy is a Noob warrior anymore!

Yup, and that concludes ‘How teh Silvar spent her CNY’. XD
Sad, I know. I was stuck all day at home. But the whole visiting thy relatives’ houses thing is a little bit overrated. If they really wanted to see me that badly, they can come to my house. 😀

So yeah. Gemmy’s got a White Rose! 😀 I want to thank repty for offering to give me a rose back when I was Rose-less and forlorn. You’re so sweet. Sorry for making you wait that Friday. Spring-cleaning had to be done. T_T

Oh, and everyone! IGNORE MUNKY. STAY AWAY FROM HIM. *flails hands* HE’S A HAZARD TO THY MENTAL HEALTH. Not that mine was intact to begin with, but he’s a CORRUPTING BIOHAZARD. D:

And I promised to plug this, so here it is! The first chapter of a collaboration between the incorrigible Munky (*glares*), the unparallel(ed) Indescane (send beer and coffee and love her way) and myself.
Personally, I think it’s just spiffy, if entertainingly random at first (don’t worry, it has a plot!), but since I wrote part of it, you can’t really trust my judgement, can you.
