WARNING: Uber long blog.

Most of you have figured out what this blog is about now, eh? That’s right! The Saphy8 that all you MMOers know and love is now… Level 50!

But let’s rewind a bit, shall we? To, right after my previous blog “Countdown”.

As you may have guessed, I was… quite devastated when the tombstone suddenly came down. I didn’t have another hour to get back that exp and level that day. But of course… “If at first you don’t succeed, try and try again.”

After that last death, I was just about ready to assassinate the person who coined that quote. But, being a patient little level 49 crossbowman, I simply sucked it up and, the next day, signed on again and trained ALL THE WAY back.

I was at 99.4% when… I realized something. I was minutes away from leveling to 50. Level 50 does not deserve to be attained at a situation as drab as Luster pixies… at least, not in my mind.

So I decided to take a little vacation to relive the days of the newb. I went and bought a level 15 outfit and played with it a little. It was kind of strange, because.. well.. I’m level 49, wearing level 15 equipment and hitting like a level 35. Looks like we have a case of level confusion here… 😉

Then I trained right up to 99.97%. Trekked all the way to Henesys (I ran out of town return scrolls, and suiciding at that point simply wasn’t an option. For obvious reasons.) and greeted the little 1x and 2x people there, and… LEVELED on an orange shroom, in level 15 clothes how cool, huh? ^^

[1] DUCK! (For those who don’t know, the sun thingy does about 270 damage, so it’s best to try and avoid them the best you can )
[2] Don’t you remember, back in the day, when you had no mastery and your damage was unstable as hell?
[3] My stats with level 15 stuff on >_> (Yes, I have 6 INT. Sue me.)
[4] LEVEL UP!
[5] woOO!O! What I look like (No, my inventory isn’t out to show off, there isn’t much to show off, I opened it to equip my new stuff.)

Stairway to the Sky II – Poem

Walking on a path of cloud
The celestial Experience Road,
I saw in the distance a gate enshroud
In the mists. I slowed.

Betwixt where I stood and the 50 gate
The going became much tougher
And then I thought, ‘At this rate,
I’ll never get past this buffer.’

But after much frustration and grief
I reached the finish line
And proceeded, with relief
From training to resign.

For I’ve reached level 50! and
My goal I have attained.
Rejoice, let cheers ring throughout the land!
Let them ring unrestrained!

And for another major announcement.

WHAT!? I hear you ask. Why quit when you’ve just reached level 50?

No, I’m not leaving permanently, and yes, I’ll stay on MMO Tales.

It’s just that… at this point in my life, I feel that there isn’t enough time to do everything I wish to do. So I’ve got to straighten out my priorities and drop the unimportant things from the list. Which, I’m afraid, includes Mapling.

It’s mostly just a symbolistic (doesn’t seem like the right word somehow… o.o) thing. I mean, I rarely log on anyway. Most of the time I spend on “MapleStory” is discussing stuff in forums. But, you see, by uninstalling MS once and for all, I’ll stop doing that. Since I know I won’t be coming on again. At least, anytime soon.

I will continue blogging. About what, you ask? Well, of course, I won’t be having any more experience blogs, but there’s plenty left over to blog about, right? Poems will continue, if you can call it that… for I don’t write poems on a regular basis. I do it when I’m bored, and only then

And I most likely will come back someday, when time isn’t so important for me… in the summer, perhaps? Maybe when Maple’s second anniversary comes around, if/when Maple items start dropping again…

So when I do come back, I can experience all the joys of reaching level 50 all over again. It’s not such a bad idea after all, see?
