*Sigh* My first “Bad experience” in quite a while. Well, most of you know how I feel about hacking. (I hate it, a lot.) I’ve also said that although they hack, some hackers aren’t all that bad. Well, let me start from the beginning. . . (Sorry about raising the hacking issue again.) =/

The guild ZarBear was a last ditch attempt to keep my brother and I from quitting. Not a lot of people actually know this. We figured we had nothing left to lose (except a LOT of money). He made it with some funding from me. Of course, it fell apart quickly. We expanded to 15 members, but the members were never on. In fact, neither were we. We were playing AnimaRO, a private RO server (which we quit a couple months later). After Winter Break, I started playing Maple Story again. My brother followed suit, and we started to rebuild the guild. Both being legits, we wanted ZarBear to be hacker-free.

Slowly, we watched the guild grow. A couple main people kept the guild together. One of them, a fast-leveling bandit, was especially nice and active (and literate, too). However, we got suspicious of him and I finally dragged my level 10 mule to Omega to catch him in the act of hacking. Shocker, right? He got banned at level 69 later on.

By now, our guild was back to being hacker-free. Then, the Guild Quest came out. One of the people we added to help us out on our GQs was a Cleric named Jeannette. She wasn’t a hacker, but one day, she asked if her friend could join the guild.

Her friend was a hacker.

He, too, got banned at level 69. However, before he got banned, he gave my brother 3.5 million mesos to expand the guild to 30 members so that his brother could join the guild : Hacker 3

His brother also wanted to add someone — a friend of theirs from real life. Guess what? Hacker 4. By now, our guild was far from legit.

Later on, my brother’s oldest Maple friend (all the way from Kerning PQing) returned to Bera. Of course, he HAD to return as a hacker. So. . . that’s five now. And the thing is, most of the active people were hackers. Still, we tolerated it. They were friends, after all.

Flash forward to yesterday.

My guild was having a guild event — a raffle to be exact. Half the money made from selling raffle tickets would go to the winner, and half would go to the gulid for the next expansion. I bought 8 tickets and went to the Free Market to meet with the event organizer (JiMbOzBoReD, also my cousin) to hand him the money. While waiting, I ran into LigerRed, an old friend. He was pretty pissed and wanted to talk to my brother ’cause he caught one of our guild members hacking at the Spirit Vikings. That got us thinking. Some of my best friends in the guild HATE hackers. Well, one friend, anyway. >_> He quit the guild temporarily today before he could get “infected with hacking.”

Hacking was having an obvious (and negative) impact on the guild. Not only did hacking make the guild look bad, but it affected the members in the guild too. My brother and I talked it over, and ZarBear is now officially going totally legit. I sat down with Huckle in the 10th floor of Orbis and composed a new guild notice.

It’s a little harsh, but there really wasn’t any room to write more. It was depressing to watch as guild members slowly said their good byes. As they left, I wondered, “Is quitted even a word?”

On a brighter note, I’m getting engaged on Maple, just for the heck of it. ^__^ I don’t think we’re gonna actually get married. o_O After a short PQ in which the Spearman left the party during the boss (but not before I died) to rush in a new party with his friends, my friend ThiefnShadow and I went over to Victoria to get random stuffs for the Proofs Of Love. Afterwards, we sat around in Amoria trying to remember which ring had what effect.

Then I trained a level 12 magician at the slimetreetheend.
