What a day.

Ugh. I had such a bad day today MMO-wise. For those of you who love long blogs, you’re in for a treat. This may be my longest blog yet, I think. . . Grab a cup of coffee and a cheese danish, and settle in for a read.

First though, let us begin with last night. Last night was happy for two reasons: 1. I got Arathelaste ( henceforth shortened to “Ara” ) levelled up to lvl 9, and 2. I met an old friend from my early Scania days in GMS. I used to be in her guild but since I don’t play Scania anymore, who knows if that still holds. But it doesn’t matter, for I wasn’t happy in those days, really (and some of the reasons why will be covered later on in my very long and winding tale).

Anyway, it turned out she plays KartRider. So I signed on to play with her, and it turns out we’re around the same level. She won most of the races but I won a couple, and it was fun.

Today she wanted to race again, and brought in another friend from the guild. I asked if we could invite LunarPanda too, since he was going to play. She said sure and created the room. We went in and raced. It was a team item one. Both my friends were on the blue team; Panda and I were red. We lost to them time and time again. I was getting pretty tired of it.

The next time there was a lull before the next race started, I stared at everyone’s gloves. NO WONDER. Pretty much everyone in the room was a green glove, and at one point we had a blue-gloved person in there. Panda and I were both yellow. They were all pros! That’s why we kept getting pwnt over and over again. It was not fun for either of us. Eventually Panda left to play MSEA, and I joined him, making excuses to my friends that my hands hurt and I had to stop playing.

Now here’s the thing that’s going to make me sound pretty childish but I’m upset that they went ahead and levelled so fast I don’t stand a chance against them. I don’t have time to play all day, every day. I have to work and do other life stuff, so I can’t get as far ahead as they did. This happened in MS too.

Pretty much everyone in the guild was high level, with a few people around my level. But of course they surpassed me within a few days. Even when people would make new characters and add them to the guild, they’d pass me within a few days. And it demotivated me to level or even spend time with them, because I couldn’t train in the places they could, or even go visit cos I’d end up dying without a cleric (and the clerics were busy healing the other people).

And if they came to visit me in my training area, they’d always end up ksing me. I don’t know why high-levels always do that. It irritates me. Anyway~

As much as I loved them I refuse to play with them now. It’s discouraging when you know you’ll just be beaten out time and time again.

At least in MSEA, it doesn’t matter cos we’re all varying levels, and it doesn’t matter anyway. But back when I was in Scania, that was all they’d talk about. And it bored me D: . . . I just wanted to play the game and enjoy it, not try to beat everyone in levels. That’s how I feel about KR, too. I don’t care if I ever reach rainbow glove or whatever the highest “pro” ranking is. I just want to race and have fun doing it, no matter who I race with.

On to MSEA now. I got cursed at for accidentally ksing someone outside the Shire (Henesys) today, but I apologised. They shouldn’t have been there anyway, they were high levels. At least Valinor (Lith Harbour) is quiet and I was able to gain a level. My happiness about that was promptly shot down when I realised I added a point to dex. Ugh. I hate messing up my builds by one stupid mistake like that. But I’m not going to delete Ara (something I usually do once I find out I mess up) since it’s just one point. She was a 4/5 when I started with her, and now she’s a 4/6. (>_

Pics time.
1. I love this about MSEA. This is something you’ll never see in GMS: ”

2. Another “love all maplers” message. And after 5 or 6 times of seeing this, I finally figured out what people are talking about when they say “MM/some FM channel/some FM room”. . . match-making. All this time I thought they were talking about MushMum LOL. I kept trying to figure out how they spawned her in that room. But then why would you meet the true love of your life (said in another smega, which helped me figure this out) whilst fighting MM? XD. And there’s LunarPanda. We’re back home~!

3. Here’s something you might see in GMS, without the apology, and more curses, and more name-calling.

4. FINALLY I got gloves other than grey or white! Still no purple ones though D: (Piat. . . I’ll trade you. . .)

5. See. . . I messed up my stats. Perfect end to a perfect day (said with much sarcasm and emo woe~)

Ya, it was one of my worst in a long time lol. But tomorrow will be better, that’s what I have to look forward to. (^__^)
