No, the title wasn’t just to get your attention. My AV (antivirus) program really did find a trojan and healed it, in my Documents and Settings>All Users>Application Data>NexonUS>NGM>NGM.exe. Very very strange. I had not played GMS at all, in awhile. Same with KartRider.
The last game I had played was MSEA, trying to get Ara to lvl 15. So I don’t know how or why I got the trojan. The only thing I can think of that I did recently was signed up for the MapleStory Sprites forum, but I haven’t heard of anyone getting a trojan merely from signing up at a forum. (shrug) It just boggles, y’know?
I searched for NGM.exe to see if I could figure out what it is, but I couldn’t find anything on what it does or why it was on my system. The only thing I could find, is apparently a lot of AV programs suspect it as a trojan.
Anyway, just be careful, I guess. I have been extremely careful, but things like this still happen. ( >_< )

Well, I work in tech support so I’m pretty computer-savvy. I was just curious to see if anyone else had gotten the same thing. Awhile back there was this guy who kept blogging here (can’t remember the mmoid) and said he didn’t play MS cos it gives you trojans.
This is the first time I’ve ever found a trojan in any game folders, so I was kind of surprised. Haha.

The posiblities are that:
-Their computer is screwed up
-They watch pron
-They installed a program- autoclicker, hacking engine etc.
Ya, but none of those apply to me. The only thing I can think of is leaving my comp unattended while my dad was visiting. . . but he usually asks my permission before using it.

Ehm, I don’t know. Because, I checked (still have MS on my computer, and my mother is an addict), and I don’t even HAVE that Application Data>NexonUS folder. Maybe it auto downloaded from a suspicious website perhaps if you were browsing guides or something?

I got the same thing today.
It’s probably not from Nexon, though, maybe some other site put a virus in the file.
And I looked at my log file in that folder, and it says something about kartrider.
So maybe the title should be “ohnoes a trojan from kr!one!”

I think the NexonUS folder is from KartRider, and some other site put a virus in it.
