Everyone’s the same level.

Well, I missed role-playing a little bit, so I decided to write a little story about my (well, Eibhinn’s) adventures in GE yesterday, cos the great Silver inspired me with her story. I took her out by herself so she could level to 12 and be at the same level as the rest of the family.

So excuse any crapness of my writing, cos I haven’t written a story in a long, long time. XD Before I post the fic, the pic I posted is of a very scary, very emo npc. (T_T)

“Eibhinn! Eibhinn!”

The girl rolled over in her sleep, then instantly awakened. She sat up in bed, rubbing her eyes and blinking. Yesterday had been great fun. She was glad she’d been allowed to join her siblings and cousin in the New World.

“Yes, just a moment!” She called in reply, so no one would barge in. Eibhinn got dressed and brushed out her fine white-gold wavy hair. When she felt she looked presentable (save for the bespoke dress she wore, which had part of the skirts cut out to reveal her legs), she ran downstairs and into the parlor.

The other three members of the Camhaoircinneadh family were there. Foghmhar was polishing her sword, Dubhloach was reading a spell-book, and Liathloach was looking at a piece of parchment. He looked up as she entered, for he was the one who had summoned her. He smiled joyfully at her.

“Eibhinn, it says here that you only attained level 11 yesterday whilst out with Dubhloach. Therefore, since he has already reached level 12, you must go out on your own and fight. What say you?”

Eibhinn clasped her hands together, ecstatic. “Oh really, cousin? Is it the truth? Are you all really trusting me to do this alone?” She looked around at everyone, her eyes shining. “Oh, thank you! Thank you all! I won’t let you down!”

Liathloach smiled, while Foghmhar and Dubhloach frowned. Foghmhar wasn’t that close to Eibhinn and so was jealous of the younger girl. Everyone seemed to favour her above all. Dubhloach was frowning for a different reason: he was unwilling to watch his younger sister get hurt. Anything could happen to her out there without someone protecting her.

“I don’t really approve of this idea,” Dubhloach said. “But, it is necessary as the rest of us would just kill too fast, and take away your experience. So you have my blessing…” He bowed to his younger sister.

Foghmhar still said nothing, and everyone turned to look at her. She looked up irritatedly.

“Oh, let her do as she will. She always has.” Foghmhar said sourly. Everyone else shrugged, they expected nothing less from her.

“That settles it then; I’ll just go equip my bracelet. I shall return!” Eibhinn said. Even Foghmhar couldn’t dampen her spirits. She ran to get the light metal bracelet she was given when she decided to take the path of Elementalist. As she slipped the bracelet over her wrist, she felt the cool metal begin to warm, and conform to her skin. It felt good. Finally, after one last check in the looking-glass, she ran out into the Cite de Reboldoeux.

The city was alive with people going hither and thither, shouting, laughing, talking. She continued on to the Queen’s Gate, and took a breath. ‘Right, just run for it, they won’t be able to touch you.’ she reminded herself, on her way to Ferrucio. She went through the gate and ran, as monsters of various kinds followed her. Other people were busy slaughtering them, and soon she made it to the next gate.

Eibhinn went through it, and tried to find a place where other families weren’t busy training. ‘This should be easy, remember. You were here before, with Dubhloach, and the day before that with Foghmhar and Liathloach.’ She began training.
“This isn’t so bad, not bad at all. . .” she laughed as she finished off a leaping croc, then turned to burn a tiger hornet out of the air. She realised after awhile how tired she was getting, and looked around. Treasure from her slain enemies littered the ground.

“Oh no! I forgot to pick things up!” Eibhinn quickly scrambled to reach a fallen mango, which would make her feel better. But several monsters jumped her at once, and just as her hand was about to close over the mango, she died.

‘Great,’ she thought to herself, laying there with all her senses dimmed. ‘Don’t panic, you’ll be revived soon.’ Finally, time was up and she was alive again. She ran to retrieve her fallen fruit, but just as she reached it, it disappeared. No matter, she’d slay something else; surely it would drop a mango.

She continued on fighting for several minutes, until her next death happened, for the same reason. “Blast it! I must remember to pick things up!” But she was too focused on fighting and the fact that she could kill easily, if not quickly.

However, seeing all the other families fighting around her made her realise she was lonely. She missed Liathloach’s cheerful banter and his constant healing. And she missed Dubhloach telling her stories as they fought. It sure passed the time faster. She even missed Foghmhar running ahead to slay anything before it could reach her. As much as Foghmhar seemed to hate her, Eibhinn believed that deep down, Foghmhar really did care about her.

“I’ll just fight faster. It’s not long to go. . . then I’ll be able to join the others again.” She started fighting with renewed concentration and vigor, not letting anything or anyone stop her. A family tried to take over her territory, seeing that she was alone, but she didn’t let them. Finally, she saw the bright light and felt a tingling sensation all over her body as she gained her next level.

“I did it! I’m level 12!” She shouted joyously to the empty grounds. Quickly she gathered up the last of her fallen treasures, and sped off toward the city, towards her new home at the Barracks, and to her family.

THE END. Lol. Hope you enjoyed that. I may never do it again~ XD.

Note: bespoke is an old English word that means “custom”.

  1. @ the dress bit.

Honestly, what the bleep were they thinking when they designed the female elementalists. >>; Not that I really want to know.

  2. Yay Anni, I hope you enjoy it.

Silver: I know D: . . . well I for one would have liked to know what they were thinking. If they were trying to be authentic (as it seems they were with mostly everything else), then they messed up, bad. Lol.

  3. “Roisin” said: “The city was alive with people going hither and thither(, )”

At first I thought it says “The city was alive with people going hitler and hitler(, )” xO

And I like your story lots. <3

  4. Lmao. I just remembered the role-playing thing tarheel *cough*ignorant ass clown*cough* made.

I don’t think anyone’s posted on that, for like, forever. o_o”

  5. Celimene: Lol. Thanks (^__^)

Cheezy: role-playing thing? Lol, I must have missed it.

  6. Tarheel dissapeared after he threw that major hissy fit. =/

I occasionally see him at Basil rambling about something dumb.

  7. I don’t remember what that hissy fit was about.

I do remember sirsolo and the wreckage he left behind though.

  8. Silver: Me either, lol. It’s funny how, when drama happens, in a few months everyone’s like, “why were they fighting/whinging/whatevering again?” XD.

Panda: Thanks! I’m not too pleased with most of the stuff I write, but I am pleased with this.
