This isn’t just a MS rant, it applies (for me) to almost every MMO that I’ve played and brought friends into. Of course it’s natural to help your friends out, they would probably do the same for you. But any of you have these kinds of friends that want you to hold their hand every single step of the way? I do, and it p*sses me off, to be quite honest.
I help them so far and then give them links to guides that I’m using for the game, which explains things in much more detail than I ever could. But do they bother to read them? NO. They’d much rather me explain it to them, and ask questions that would be answered if they’d just frikkin’ read the guide I spent time to find them.
What I don’t get is some friends in particular can read a bazillion-words-long post with 50 other posts in reply to it in a game forum or some other forum, but they can’t take the time to read the 1,000 (maybe exaggerating, I know some guides are long) words or less guide I found. Jeebus. Also, why do I have to give them the guide? Why can’t they google it? That’s how I found it. (>_<)
And some friends if I don’t help them they get bored with the game saying it’s too complicated or they’re not really interested. Pffft. It just p*sses me off. Okay, I’m done ranting now.
Trickster’s out!! That has to be one of the cutest games in the world~~ <3
We need a blogger thing added for Trickster.
I agree with you completely about the friends thing. They say they’re too lazy to read the guides or look it up themselves. That happened to me with two of my noobie friends, for about twenty levels, and it got so bad that at one point I blocked them.
*sigh*
aww, I feel empathy for you. ><
Understanable but sometimes their just too lazy
Ya, I believe if they’re too lazy to look at the guides, then they shouldn’t really be asking for my help and/or playing the game. I still help out most of the time, I haven’t figured out a way to stop. XD
