After a rather long conversation with my friend, Gabriel(Gabe), I have concluded that after a while Maple Story starts to become less enjoyable. He was telling me about how he felt like quitting. He said it was getting boring. So I came up with a few ideas and decided to post them here.
1. Take a break. – We all need breaks once in a while. And the saying, “Too much of a good thing is a bad thing.” is definitely true. So take a little vacation form Maple Story and do something else. Here’s a small list I have made: Try some other games (there’s so many. I also recommend addictinggames.com , hang with your friend (I mean real life. But if you don’t have any real life. I’m sorry to report that is really just plain sad.), hang with your family (go do something with your siblings or something), find another hobbies(there’s so many hobbies you will probably enjoy), and last but not least: actually do you’re homework. (Yes I’m talking to all you lazy C-averaging people. Actually do you’re homework^^)
2. Set up a goal – Setting up goals is a great way to strive in Maple Story. Like maybe you’re goal can be get to level 58 to ditch that fugly Calas and get an Anakamoon(that’s my goal^^). Setting up a goal will give you something to aim for. There are three ways (that so far I know of) to set up a goal you will likely accomplish.
(1)Make it a promise to someone important to you. This way you wont go back on your word. (Unless you break a lot of promises)
(2)Make a punishment. A punishment could be something like no T.V. for the whole week. (Warning: This will probably only work on strong-minded people).
(3)Buy the item. If you have an item you really want to equip then go ahead and buy it. Leave it in youre equip section. That way youll be reminded every day of what youre striving for.
3. Play with friends. Playing with friends is always more fun then playing alone. Gather youre friends and go do something together. Itll be a fun experience and also itll give you another reason to quit by showing you what you would miss out by quitting. Or meet new people. Just walk around and be nice. Sooner or later youll find new friends. If this doesnt work use my method. Go stalk youre friends. &0% of the time they are with some of their other friends. Hang out with them for a while and then just buddy their friends. (1/4 of my buddies were found this way. No joke. Lol).
4. Make a totally weird character. One thing to entertain yourself is to make a totally wacked character. You might make something like a STR mage. My friend made one and he said it was really fun. (As for myself I have enough trouble leveling normal characters let alone crazy characters.). Sit down at youre desk and look through all the jobs. Look at their skills and such. (recommend hidden-stree.net for this). Try figuring out ways to make a character you would have fun playing with. (Warning: This does not mean you strip down your main character to the last meso and selling everything and putting it on your new character. This is just a side-character you use to relieve yourself of boredom.)
5. Make a real character. Was there ever a job you really wanted to try? Well then go make it! What have you got to lose? Making a job you really like will increase the odds of you thinking Maple Story is fun.
Well thats all I can think of for now. Would right more but its around 2:00 A.M. Too tired. Well hope this helps. Also click the I Like It Button. Because that way more people will read and les people will quit.
P.S. The screenshot if of the empty space in my inventory where my Tobi shouldve gone. But my friend picked up first and I just decided to give it to her.(after a lot of begging o.o).Anyway Im going to post this tomorrow. No ones on right now-.-
Hosnap xD A guide?! Nowaii
:] I like it.
Well put out and organized in a very clean and simple way. Hee hee, it makes it nice to read.
It was short and got to the point- another good trait.
And I really do connect with all of the points :3
I like! 😀
The part about making a new character is true. I made a cleric, and he’s now level 33 And then I made another one, and to stop myself from spending oodles of money on him, I made him in a new world, and I’m not a fully self-sustaining soon-to-be side-character in windia.
One of the few guides written from others than Indigo =)
And particularly. IT’S ACTUALLY A GOOD ONE! =O
Lol, try posting it on Basil, but I think there’s another one like this.
And sadly, all my friends like games =O
Except this one guy who wants to go swimming all the time. ;D
But I’m not gonna go into my personal life.
Just btw, I’m not a C-Student ^.^
Even better! I’m an F- =O
Another good thing, is if you take a LONG brake, and you come back, and theres tones of new stuff, like Big dudes, new areas, and what not! ^_^
FIZZA!
I would love to try it, but first of all, im sick of it. next, I’m not funded enough. Followed by that, I am bored of starting over from lvl 1 again. lastly, anymore suggestions? Good try.
oh crap i never you used mmotales XDD (its laxiazn in ms) wat sup ^^
holy crap, who knew. this is awsome^^
You might wanna include joining a school sport. Or get into something that occupys all your time so you can’t go on the computer that much.
I joined vollyball, soccer, drama club, and marching band.
It takes almost all day to compleat all these tasks so I can only go on the computer every once and a wile.
Great blog though. -presses i liked this blog button-
I agree with number 3 totally, my friends are the only ones keeping me on maple.
