Last chapter kind of short but sorry wanted to raise the suspense.
well anyway here comes chapter 12!

What was going on? I seemed to be surrounded by darkness. I had felt this before but this time was diffrent. I just floated around.

Out of nowhere a bright light appeared. It seemed like a worm-hole or something. It was so beautiful. Before I knew it I was crying. Why was I crying? It didn’t matter. As long as the light stayed with me I was ok. I just started at it. Soon I wanted to touch it. I started kind of swimming toward it. As I came neaer I felt that it was harder to get toward it. I almost reached the light but something stopped me. A pain exploded from my chest. I looked to see a big hole in my chest. And there was a chain comin out form it. I followed the chain with my eyes and it ended up at a body. I looked carefully.

I froze. It was my body. What was going on? I felt confused. Suddenly something was seperating me from the body. Th pain in my chets grew. I looked around and saw the worm-hole. It was sucking me in. I saw a figure in front of the worm-hole. It was a person..kind of.

It looked like a demon. It grinned menacingly as the worm-hole continued to suck me in. I strived to get away but it was too strong. The demon crawled madly trying to get me. I was inches within his grasp. I looked to my horry to see the chain was starting to break. It was the only thing keeping me from the demon. If it broke I was a goner.

Suddenly I felt a pain in my hand. My body,not me but the body I saw, glowed in an orange light. The light climbed up the chain and to me. Then the chain started to to go into the hole of my other body. I was getting farther and farther form the demon who was furious.

As I reached my other body I felt my self being sucked in, too. As I caught one last glimpse of the demon I opened my eyes. I was in a swamp. I coughed and water came out. I gulped in air. It felt refreshing. What had happened? Had I almost died? But all these questions were blown away. Tere biting my hand was Blitz.

“Blitz!” I shouted. I was so happy he was awake. I hugged him and he licked my face

I missed you, too, Blitz said.

“Where are Helen and Dan?” I asked remebering them. Blitz didn’t knwo so we looked around. As we searched I saw that the sewer pipe had led us to the swamp. I looked around until I heard Blitz growl. I rushed to where he was and found Helen.

“Helen!” I leaned over her and looked for a heartbeat. There wasn’t one. Fear gripped me. I shaked it off with an idea. I leaned over her face bringing mines to her. I slowly brought my head down and our lips touched. I gently blew some air into her. Nothing. I tried again and again and again. She isn’t dead, I kept telling myself. AFter about a minute I saw some movements. She coughed out water and got up.

“David!” she yelled hugging me. “I was so scared. I thought I had died.” SHe kissed me long and hard.

“Yeah me,too” I whispered.

“Blitz. You’re awake.” Helen pointed out. Blitz licked her face as she picked him up.

“Come on. Let’s go find Dan.” I said. We looked around for a couple minutes with no sign of him. I jumped over a fallen tree and found him.

“He’s over here.” I called out. Helen came. He was lying still, not breathing. Fear gripped me again. This time Helen agreed to do CPR. She leaned down and they’re lips touched. That moment Dan opeend his eyes. Helen, surprised immediately got up. Dan was just lying on the ground laughing.

I smacked him across the head but he kept laughing. Helen blushed.

“That was hilarious!” exclaimed Dan.

“Ok. Moving on. Where are we?” I asked Dan. He pulled out his map and looked at it.

“We’re here.” he pointed at the swamp next to Kerning. “I think the sewage pipes lead to here. But one problem we can’t get back. The sewer pipes are an endless maze and we’ll just gte lost. Better to just get to Ellinia through Sleepywood.”

I thought about it and agreed. AFter walking through miles of swamp land we finally reached Sleepywood. It was buzzing with activity. We found an inn to stay for the night. There was only one bed in our room. Me and Dan decided to let Helen have it. She insisted someone else take it but we would stood firm.

“Is it just becuase I’m a girl?” Helen asked laughing.

That night as Dan slept in a pile of blankets on the floor I stepped out of the inn. The moon was in the sky. It shone brightly. Most of Sleepywood had now settled down a bit. I just sat on a bench and stared into the sky.

A hand tapped my shoulder and I found it was Helen. “Hey.” she said. “Couldn’t sleep?”

“Yeah. Its just I was so scared when I saw you two almost dead. And also the fact that I almost died.” I admitted. Helen just nodded and kissed me softly. She then leaned against my chest. I just held her in my arms as she dozed off.
