Nodding to those behind him, he smiled as he walked towards the deepest portions of El Nath. He was more relived, more lively than anyone had seen him before. They all wondered what it was that caused this, but soon gave up on their curiosity. Nodaku had walked outside of the back gates of El Nath with a little more hope than usual. He was just there to warm up, stretch himself and get ready for the fight to come along. Quickly, Ikizen had teleported past Nodaku and flew into the distance while yelling, “I’ll send you all a portal when I get there!”
Nodaku laughed softly and jumped into the air, avoiding the small army of Jr. Yeti’s. There were more than usual, but this time, they seemed to be running from something. Landing on the ground, he arched a brow and watched all of his friends fight the Jr. Yeti’s. Turning his head to see what it was that they were running from, he titled his head to the side some and kept a brow arched. “Now what could be so terrifying..” He wasn’t even able to finish his words as a massive ball of snow flew at him. Quickly thrusting his shoulder up and heaving his arms out and down, he slashed the massive snow ball into two, both pieces stopping almost instantly and falling to his sides, rolling around some. His eyes looked at both halves of the snow ball then up, glaring at what had sent this as a message to him. “Mocking me..?” he asked himself as he lifted his sword once again and placed it upon his shoulder.
Taking a few more steps forth, he stopped suddenly, feeling that something wasn’t right. Looking to the ground, he saw the snow slowly cracking apart and falling back upon itself like sand. Groaning lightly he jumped to the side as the ground where his feet once were, erupted. “Something has gone amiss here…” he said to himself as he hit the ground and rolled up to his feet again, though, where his shoulder had hit the ground before rolling up to his feet, had erupted once again. Pushing himself forth and taking off in a mad sprint, he kept his eyes open for what may have been causing such a disturbance. Coming up to the end of a canyon, he had little to no time to react to what was to come.
A massive dark brown furred hand appeared without hesitation and hit Nodaku in the side. Nodaku, unprepared for it, lost grip of his sword, it flew high into the air and landed in the snow only a few feet from this creature that he was unable to see. Nodaku had hit the snow and continued to bounce off of the ground a couple of times before he quickly regained control of what had happened. Pushing himself from the ground he quickly flipped his body to a more familiar position as he slammed both of his feet into the ground and drug his hands across the ground to slow his movement down. Gasping lightly at the lack of breath, he shook his head and narrowed his eyes. Looking up towards the creature that had hit him.
Seeing the creature with his own eyes, he grit his teeth, “A Dark Yeti out of it’s region…” Slowly standing to his feet and stretching the side the Yeti had hit, he stood himself in a position to where he could try to fend this creature off like he had done to them many times to test his own strength. The Dark Yeti hadn’t come for him, instead, taunted Nodaku. The creature was aware that Nodaku’s sword was next to it.
Nodaku, angered that he had already been hit and caught off guard, groaned to himself and ran towards the Dark Yeti. He said nothing and his eyes turned cold as the winter chill. As Nodaku approached, the Dark Yeti thrust forth a fist to Nodaku. The punch was fast and held more power behind it than any other Dark Yeti. Nodaku, bracing himself for the punch had grabbed hold of two of the fingers of this massive creature and pushed forth against the punch, only to be driven back towards where he once stood.
“Eh… Stronger than normal…” Nodaku said to himself as he quickly lunged himself towards the Dark Yeti once again, dodging the next punch that came at him by rolling on the ground. Quickly grabbing his sword, Nodaku heaved his hips in a twist to the side as he brought his upper body with it, swinging his sword harder than he normally had, at the Dark Yeti’s arm. The blade had sank into the fur but stopped there. Nodaku looked a little puzzled as the yeti had reared an arm up and thrust it down towards Nodaku. Nodaku was a little perturbed about the fact that his sword did nothing to the creature. Laying the flat portion of his blade upon the palm of his hand, he knelt down and held his sword above his head. The Yeti’s had slammed down into the sword and caused Nodaku to sink into the ground some.
Thinking to himself, “This isn’t right… Something is really wrong here…” As he held the arm up, while sinking into the ground little by little. Looking behind the Yeti, he saw Annalys running towards him. His eyes widened as he noticed a grin on the Yeti’s mouth. Was what he feared, going to happen? As Annalys came within the reach of the Yeti, he quickly reared itself from Nodaku and spun, giving a heaving swing around and it’s massive hand, slammed into Annalys. The force caused the earrings that Nodaku had just given her, to fall from her. Nodaku sat there for a moment, not realizing fully as Annalys’ body had flew to the edge of the cliff. The Yeti turned back to Nodaku and raised both arms into the air and brought them down heavily towards Nodaku’s unprepared self.
Nodaku leaning toward the Yeti, stepped to it and stood between both of it’s arms as they crashed behind him. “Now… You die…” whispered Nodaku as he kicked the Yeti in the chest. The Yeti staggered back and gave a growl at the fact that Nodaku had shoved it back. Rearing it’s arms into the air once again, it brought them back down, aiming to hit Nodaku. Nodaku took a step back this time and let the massive hands crash in front of him. Nodaku didn’t move as the hands hit the ground. The Yeti now looking at Nodaku with determination to kill him.
Closing his eyes and shaking his head, Nodaku gripped his sword within his right hand and lifted it to his shoulder. Opening his eyes and looking at the Yeti, a tear slowly rolling down Nodaku’s left cheek, he said in a deep, dark tone, “I’ll make this quick…” And with that, Nodaku took a step to the side of the Yeti’s hands that were pressed into the ground. Lifting his shoulder as he did once before, he grabbed the hilt of his sword and brought it down upon the Yeti’s wrists. Though his sword never went through the Yeti’s arm before, this swing was devastating compared to the power that the last swing he took. The blade didn’t stop until it was several inches in the ground. The Yeti screeched out in pain as it’s now stubbed arms raised into the air. The snow turning red with the blood that had fallen from the Yeti. The blood had hit Nodaku and almost everything around the Yeti.
Deep within the eyes of Nodaku, sanity began to slip as he grinned devilishly. Was this the curse that his sword had brought? Why was it known as the Devil’s Sunrise? Jumping into the air coming down to the Yeti, who had dropped to it’s knees, Nodaku said in a tone that he had been rid of long ago, “Now… It’s over…” With his words complete, he held his sword to the Yeti’s neck, in one foul thrust, he managed to break through the fur and skin of this Dark Yeti. His word didn’t stop at the bone, instead, severed the spinal column just below the skull and kept going, through the throat and out the front of the neck.
The Dark Yeti’s body didn’t fall when this had happened. Dropping to the side of the Yeti and pulling his sword with him, the head was severed. Turning his back to the now puddle of red in the snow and the corpse of the Dark Yeti, he looked over to Annalys. Rushing over to where she was last left at, Nodaku stabbed his sword into the ground and dropped to his knees next to her. He had never once died, he never let his friends die either… But it was this once he had failed to save the one he loved. Lifting her into his arms, he held onto her tightly. Lifting an arm up, he removed his helmet and threw it behind him as he continued to hold her close, his cheek gently resting to hers.
It was minutes later that the rest of the gang hand shown up. It wasn’t Nodaku who they saw first, but the Yeti who had fallen to Nodaku’s wrath. After they had seen what it was Nodaku had done, they looked where all of the footsteps headed and saw Nodaku and his helm. They stood there for a moment before walking over to Nodaku. They could hear his weeps and sorrows the closer that they got.
“Annalys, I am sorry…” Nodaku had whispered to her as he held her. Not letting her go at all. His body shook, not from the cold, but from the fact that his fear, had come without any form of hesitation.
“It is alright… I will always be with you…” Annalys had spoke to Nodaku as she placed her hand over his heart, “Here.” Hearing her words as she slowly slipped form life, tears slid down his cheeks as he took her hand. Feeling small objects within it, he noticed it was the earrings that he had given her. Smiling softly, he took them, removed his old earrings and placed hers on. Slowly standing up, he looked over his shoulder and said, “Let us finish this journey… So I can go home…”

*Next chapter – The Journey’s Start.
That is a very deep story O_O Very nice!
Lol, thanks ^_^ So far, I have only one frequent reader, He’s the only person so far that I am going to write a story for once I am done with this saga ^_^.
If you want to, feel free to read all of the others, “Story of a Legend” and “Story of a Legend [Cont.]”. The story has it’s twists and its turns. But the most distinct part of this entire saga is the last several posts that I am going to be posting.
Just wondering what it is that catches peoples eyes to make more read it. The reason I ask is because I am wishing to get little to no recognition for the works and writings that I do for myself AND others whom frequently read what it is that I write. Yes, those who have liked my old stories and responded or given feedback on them, will get a story of their character, made by me.
By the way, all of the events that occur in this saga, are all from the real series of events that had happened. My character has yet to be named at all, but will be named sometime within the next several stories.
I hope to see more people read my stuff, I love to write, so writing up a long story for someones character, would appease me.
Hmm, a good title and opening paragraph are always the key to getting lots of people to read Nodaku. I’m quite good at starting stories, not quite as good at finishing them. I tend to come up with a new and more interesting idea that I start on before I’ve gotten too far with the old one. XD Only had one excpetion to it, and that just kept growing on me. It was over 30 pages and still going for quite some time I expect, too bad it’s probably gone forever unless I find a hard copy of it or rewrite it from scratch. XD
As an example, a good opening would be something like this: (Not my greatest opening, and I don’t have a good title to go with it, but it’ll do as an example.)
Within a room shrouded in darkness, a voice speaks, “Fear is the only enemy a man must fight on his own. He cannot have others help him, not when each man’s fear is different. That fear tears men apart. It is your duty to master, and then sow, that great weapon upon our enemies.”
The small man, a man that was impossible to describe in terms other than dark and darkness, continued on with his lecture.
“Fear is your weapon, but it can be used against you. Always remember that. We have spent an era honing our skills for this time. Though we may sow fear upon friend and foe alike, it is not without purpose for the time of Blood is upon us all.”
The small man, a man never named even among those he was speaking to, drew to the end of his lecture.
“You have been blooded by your betters, and in turn blooded them. The time for your apprenticeship is over. The time for fear is now.”
The many seated forms responded in unison, “Fear is the weapon I wield, let nothing stand before it or against it without feeling its sharp bite.”
“Go now and find your fear Young Ones.”
With the lecture over, the forms stood and filed out without making any sound at all. The dark man watched them leave, and when they had at last left, he sat down with a sigh. He was getting too old to do this; the time for him to go on his Death Ride was drawing close. Still, there was much to do before that time, and though he yearned to sleep, he knew some things must be seen to while he still had some life left in his bones.
The small dark man stood and left the room, leaving the room to the darkness once more.
Heh, yeah, I seem to have a ton of problem getting people to read my crap >_<! *Starts throwing bricks at people who don’t read his stuff* x_x;
Like the writing style, Who knows, maybe we can write two parts to your character and mine meeting up when I am back on it in July ^_^
Hahaha there’s some more to it, and I have a few other fledgling stories and ideas on here, here being my computer, but I haven’t worked on them too much recently. As for that, it would be interesting if we both wrote about the same thing and compared them. If I feel the urge, and don’t have much else going on, I may work on them some more and post them on here as blogs. Anyway, I’m off to bed. Need sleep! *Zombifies and eats your brain* Uhnnnn terrible brains. 😛
Lol, heck yeah they are, All twisted around and corrupt o_O I find them rather tastey! XD
Dun Dun Dun Then I will make my level 10 Alex in my story destroy your characters mwwahahahah read my stories nodaku and if you can help my broan noob
